I like how your videos do show more in depth than just the rules in the descriptions. A lot of other channels would either not put it in the description or just talk at you in circles, but I really like where you show with examples.

    1. Don’t add too many indicators, learn price action
    2. Don’t size up too fast, use size calculator
    3. Always have a trading plan and stick to it
    4. Don’t follow trade room alerts (if you’ve followed this channel, you’ve heard this one before 😂)
Still watch the whole video, tons of wonderful info as usual! Thanks for all you do!

What is price action? Not everyone is a numbers trader. Either I watch the candlesticks and patterns and manage my risk OR I only watch the numbers like Level 2 and time and sales but NEVER both. That's just my humble opinion.

EMA(9) EMA(20) and EMA(200) + RSI for momentum (don't follow the conventional buy and sell, but strength of longing or shorting. It makes no sense when RSI says overbought to short the stock. That is just insane. It shows you that there is a loft of upward momentum. When volume has died down and RSI goes down then it is a good time to consider.
I use RSI to not get burned 😇
RSI in combo with price action and volume to tell me if I can consider shorting yet
    or opposite for longs

Position size is what makes a great trader. Instead of guessing the trend you should look at the point and figure chart. Three box breakouts historically sets the trend. Every great trader tests first and then scales in.

  • @pipilchocolate8654
    @pipilchocolate8654 Год назад +2

#1 Anything can happen.... Any patterned identified that meets a criteria for entrance has a random outcome. This is the backbone of how to think when trading. This principle is the reason that emphasizes the importance of using stop losses, not taking on a trade that's way too big, not being convinced that you absolutely know how the trade is going to go, letting go of a bad trade, sticking to a plan and so on. Still I believe with out having ones ass kicked these things do not become real to a person unless these are learned from a good teacher early on.

This video is fantastic! I really wish I had found your content sooner. I have a question about using IB_TWS: for VWAP and volume with moving averages, what periods would you recommend for 5-minute and daily charts? Should those periods be different? For instance, would VWAP settings of 10, 2, and 14, 2 work well? The same applies to volume. I’d appreciate your insights, as I didn’t quite grasp it from your screen.
Also, anyone knows how to add automatic support and resistance levels to the charts in TWS? I'm looking for an indicator that can draw these lines automatically, but I haven’t found anything that works. Thank you!

Happy New Year. Enjoyed your video today, especially your example on NVDIA. I will focus on the Gap up or down tomorrow. Great concept. Something that helps me is using VWAP as a "stair step" instead of a straight line. This tells you when the price is moving up or down better than a straight line. I also use the RSI. I trade when if goes under 30 or over 70 and stays there for a while. This is as good as a Fibonacci. Thanks Ed

Would you ever suggest using options as trading instrument for only day trading.
I find what works for me ,usually use options on the spy only and don’t bother looking for alternatives trades on individual stocks. I probably loose out on profits on individual stocks but it’s just my trading style.

Which gets me caught especially in pre and after hours when stop losses dont work. But im still learning still. Only been doing this a couple months with a micro account. But your information you give is very valuable to me learning this crazy mess.
But do have a question. If get caught in a loser should you take your loss or hold till goes back up trying to recoupe your losses. Treating it as a long trade.

I traded small and conservative and in time was able to pay it all off. In my opinion my trading is very valuable. When you think of it the money I made helped save all those high interest rates so the total return was fantastic. Have goals and have fun. Don’t get in to much leverage using margin. Hope you all make a ton and your dreams come true for you! 🎉
