    Today, I'm going to guide you through a scalping strategy I've personally tailored for these tricky bear markets. Despite the constant rollercoaster of market news and sudden inflation hikes, there's always an opportunity for profit.
    Despite what you think, scalping isn't all about making flashy Lamborghini money - it requires a deep understanding of the markets and calculated strategic decisions. And if it's not done right, it can be quite risky.
    In this video, I'll be walking you through two reliable ways to scalp and secure fast profits, all while safeguarding your account capital.
    This scalping strategy has proven effective no matter which direction the market moves. In this video, you’re going to learn:
    My 3 key criteria for scalping
    The best indicators and chart setups
    How to find the right stocks to scalp
    My go-to scalping strategy, which includes:
    Price action leading into the setup
    Executing the strategy
    Risk Management
    No overcomplications or fluff, just my personal, tried-and-tested trading strategies to help you navigate any market scenario.

    I scalp, and depending on the volume determines my time frame. Once I use the daily, 1 hour and 15 minute charts looking for S/R, to write down my thesis, then I typically use a 1 and 5 minute chart pre-market, but also use a 233 tick looking for the pull backs. Once market opens, I change my 5 minute to a 3 minute because the volume is typically higher and I need to see a shorter time frame.

    I think you left out the actual most important criteria for scalping a stock: a tight spread. Usually a stock that has high volume, like you recommend, will also have a tight spread, but this is not necessarily the case. The cost of getting into and out of the trade is so critical when taking small profits and losses that a wide spread immediately disqualifies scalping.

    • @caughtinthevoidfloyd5821
      @caughtinthevoidfloyd5821 Год назад

      By spreading do you mean proce fluctuations?

    • @Josh-Jones
      @Josh-Jones Год назад

      @@caughtinthevoidfloyd5821 No, I'm referring to the lowest ask (offer) minus the highest bid. This is called the spread. It's the amount you would lose if you bought at the lowest offer and then immediately sold to close at the highest bid. Think of it as the cost of taking the trade. So, you want this to be small so that it will not outweigh your small profits. Said another way, you have to make at least the spread to break even. It's why a tight spread on a stock like AAPL is ideal.

    I love this channel. Shay is probably my favorite trader. I’m committed to making the plunge into day trading but I’m hesitant because of the 2-3 year learning curve that all the successful traders are saying is unavoidable. Are they saying this to impress upon folks that trading is tough? Or is it absolutely true? Have any of you reading this become profitable in quicker time frame?

    Scalping works well with 300% leveraged ETFs like UPRO and SPXU which follow the S&P500.
    Then you don't need to jump around to different stocks. If you think the momentum is bullish, you scalp trade on UPRO.
    If you think the momentum is bearish, you scalp trade on SPXU, which is the 300% short ETF.
    However, Canadians will need to convert to USD, as there is no Canadian ETF equivalent.

    "don't short into weakness" .. actually, if you had waited for the heavy volume on the actual breakdown and shorted it into that, you would never have been in the red and you would have been going with the flow. I've seen many professionals who do exactly that. They short into weakness and buy into strength.

I’d love to retire with at least $2million savings. Now you gotta rely on a pretty good diversification if you must stay green. Currently up 31% and being cautious. Still better deal than letting it sit in savings or checking earning near 5% interest

    In this bullish market, short scalping has been complicated. Especially when I could have bought SPXL AT $70 and just held it like I did in 2021. Of course, in 2022 I lost big holding for a long time. I only trade 3X ETFs, bull and bear. I think you mentioned that this works when the market is choppy. So, my question is: Is scalping needed in a bullish market?
