  • On Friday, June 28, I spent time with Oklahoma City's Skydance and Roughtail Breweries representatives at Marshall Brewing Co.'s brewhouse.
The reason for the get-together was to brew a beer for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame's Oklahoma Born and Brewed, held August 16 at Gaylord-Pickens Museum in Oklahoma City.
"This year is the 10th anniversary, and we have done a collaboration signature beer for the event for many years, but this is a special one because not only are we having Oklahoma City breweries involved, but this year we have added Marshall, a Tulsa brewery, to really meet across the turnpike and show that we are a statewide organization that provides programs for the whole state," says Emily Poppe Development Officer for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.
The Oklahoma Born and Brewed event will be held in OKC on August 16 from 7-10 p.m. at Gaylord-Pickens Museum, 1400 Classen Dr. The event will be held indoors and outdoors, with breweries in the courtyard and inside. There will also be music and food in addition to beer.
