CalFresh Awareness Month 2023 Kick-Off

The CalFresh Awareness Month Kick-off event was held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Amelia Mayberry Park in Whittier, CA. DPSS Director Dr. Jackie Contreras shared how nutrition assistance impacted her life and why it's so important for families in need of assistance to access CalFresh benefits. The event was a resounding success thanks to our community-based partners who joined us in providing valuable resources, CalFresh enrollment services, fresh food, and fun activities for the whole family!
