How are they turning into an anime channel? They makes tons of videos about other topics, such as video games. Yet, no one is commenting that they're turning into a video game channel. Anime is just one of the topics they talk about.
Animes have shaped my childhood man. I will go there and I will enjoy every second!! Animes give you the feeling of being a child and you are in the present moment, like when we were kids
Thanks for making this list guys. I really badly wanted to go to Tokyo, but the prices are ridiculous, so at least I have alternate options to explore.
if you wanna save money stay in Yokohama and take the train up to Tokyo. We stayed in a really nice hotel for 80 bucks a night and the train was 5-10 bucks a day to get pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. I mean if you go crazy and eat at the Monster Cafe all the time you're going to spend a lot of money, but most places were like 5 bucks a meal. I dunno, it was pretty reasonable I thought.
Văn-Hiếu Võ like I said when I was there I didn't find things to be very expensive. A train ride from Yokohama to Tokyo was like 3 bucks, you could very easily go out for 5-10 bucks, dvd's and books were very cheap, drinks in vending machines were 1-2 bucks (that's what they cost in America) we stayed at the Yokohama grand for 80 bucks a night which was a very very good hotel. Now like I also said, things like the monster cafe were very expensive, spent 40 bucks there, spent 35 bucks at a maid cafe, robot restaurant was 100 bucks, some of the collectible stores were very expensive. As for their immigration, it's extremely hard to become a citizen (unless you can convince someone to marry you) you can get your visa (which is tough if you're an American) they're very protective of wanting Japan to be Japanese, if you want to mingle and find a circle just don't ever say "no" when invited out for drinks. Go out, have some drinks and you're in, you'll have friends for life. If you don't drink, drink anyways. It will be worth it. I don't drink, but you have to go at it with a "when in Rome" approach. but if you want to become a true citizen of Japan by policy you have to renounce your native citizenship. Be aware of that as you go on your quest.
thank you. some of these like the gibli museum, suginami and tokyo pokemon center i already visited, back when i went to japan with my dad in 2012. now, i have more ideas for where we can go during our trip there in about 5 years
I remember spirited away, that was my favorite anime movie to watch as a child. I should watch it again sometime. Who else agrees that this was a great movie and what were your favorite anime movies to watch as a kid.
I go to Tokyo almost every couple of months and have a few key places I visit in Akiba every time. Glad to see you included the Tokyo Anime Center in the UDX Building. That's the one I look forward to visiting the most whenever I visit. I would also add Book-Off/K-Books and the Kanda Shrine, mainly the steps leading up to it for fans of Kimi no Na wa and Love Live.
It is my absolute dream to go to Japan!!! I plan on trying to go for my 21st birthday. The only issue is I think I will end up spending every penny I have without even realizing it lol. Just look at all those glorious places!!
Just a note, the Gundam Front is now called the Gundam Base, and the old RX-78-2 statue has been replaced with the RX-0. Try to catch it at night if you can, since it lights up! Some other good stops to make are the Harajuku district for Japanese high fashion, Otome Road for your yaoi and bishounen fix, and Nakano Broadway for a giant indoor otaku mall. Some anime have locations set in real life that you can visit, such as Sakuragaoka High School from K-On being based on Toyosato elementary school in Inukami district. If you want to become true otaku, then go in the summer or winter and attend/suffer Comiket.
First, Pokemon Centers are in at least seven different areas of Japan, not just Tokyo (there's another one in Tokyo Skytree). Like Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Sapporo...the Pokemon Center you talk about is simply the biggest. Second, you talk about Akihabara and then show a clip of Durarara, which came from Ikebukuro. Third...I personally recommend Shirakawa-go for Higurashi fans. I may sound like a weeaboo, but I've done my research. *pushes in growing nose*
When I was in Tokyo and Osaka, it was so damn amazing! I visited J-World, Animate, the Aoba Castle, Pokémon Center, the Gundam Front, Universal Studios, Akihabara.... But holy damn, it's my dream to visit the others! It is honestly an absolutely gorgeous experience, with pros and cons, (because some of them aren't as amazing as they seem, like the Pokémon Center, it is actually small and with tooooons of people). But I would really recommend, more than anything, to visit Akihabara. THATS THE BEST EVER.
As an otaku I'm extremely glad I went back in January , I've been to a few spots on this list , and Akihabara was everything I wanted and more , I also went to One Piece Tower , Kyoto Manga Museum , and a few Animate stores ( one in Ikebukuro ) , and JWorld Tokyo
I had a feeling that the Akihabara District was gonna be on this list, I went there every weekend during the three years I spent stationed in Japan and I was certainly impressed!
These are great! There's also the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory for fans of Detective Conan. And for people interested in making manga or anime, there's Manga School Nakano (with a teacher who can offer classes in English) and Yoyogi Animator Gakuin.
lambradi well they put Steins;Gate at #9 for best suspense/thriller anime behind such titles as elfen lied so yeah I don't think they're very big fans for whatever reason
If I ever go to Japan, the Pokémon Center in Tokyo would defiantly be on my list of places to visit! I just love Pokémon so much! To go to the real Pokémon Center would be a dream come true!
just ever buy a computer or computer parts in japan. these things are far more expensive than if you were to buy them from the US or Canada although its pretty much like that all over the world mostly due to all the top chip makers (AMD,Intel, Nvidia) being american owned.
I thought this was going to be locations anime were based in or designed after. For instance: Lake Kizaki in Nagano, Japan for Onegai Teacher and Onegai Twins, Paris, France for Noir and Venice standing in for Aria's Neo-Venezia to name just a few.
I really wish I can have a trip to go to japan soo I can try there Ishiraku ramen noodles soup and and I want to see there J-world Tokyo anime theme park which I want to see Dbz, Naruto and all other anime stuff 🍜🍣🍥🥟🍛😅☺️😊😊😆😆😁😁😆😆
It's kind of a shame they didn't mention Universal Studios (at least in the honorable mentions) because there are numerous anime/manga related attractions that rotate throughout the years. So far they have featured attractions such as Evangelion, Monster Hunter, Attack on Titan, and an upcoming Death Note and Dragon Ball Z attractions. There is also an anime/manga merch. shop that mostly sells stuff such as Naruto, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, Attack on Titan, and so much more.
I remember the plot of Yowamushi Pedal was indirectly due to Akibara. It's about this huge otaku who, to save money, instead of taking the train rides his bike everyday to and from there. The problem is, he rides what they call a "mommy bike", meaning the bike equivalent of something a little old lady would drive to and from the store, and his mother secretly put some kind of thing on it to slow it down. Turns out, long story short, doing this every day since the fourth grade has made him excellent at long-distance bike riding, and he's recruited to join his school's bike club.
haven't seen the video yet, but i'm guessing:
1-japan
2-japan
3-japan
4-japan
5-japan
6-japan
7-japan
8-japan
9-japan
10-you know it.
This is all correct.
try make a guess where anime comes from.
RafaAnto North Korea.
Zani i thought the war was over o,o
+Vincent Lam ever read "Blazin' Barrels"?? Great Korean manga!!!(^v^)

So you haven't been early since the 1980s?
Animes have shaped my childhood man. I will go there and I will enjoy every second!! Animes give you the feeling of being a child and you are in the present moment, like when we were kids
Thanks for making this list guys. I really badly wanted to go to Tokyo, but the prices are ridiculous, so at least I have alternate options to explore.
If you get a chance take a train down to Kamakura, the temples are amazing there and it's pretty low key.
if you wanna save money stay in Yokohama and take the train up to Tokyo.
Văn-Hiếu Võ I think it's something to do with keeping foreigners out of residency if I'm not mistaken, that's why they price everything so high.
delbomb3131 Yeah, that sounds pretty nice man
Văn-Hiếu Võ like I said when I was there I didn't find things to be very expensive. I guess WM is turning into an anime channel...
No complaints from me.
Eh. It gets kind of boring, they do too many anime lists.
Bуαкυуα it gets them tons of views, no reason for them not to
kind of
Bуαкυуα agree think we found a mine full of anime shows that we didn't know existed
I remember spirited away, that was my favorite anime movie to watch as a child. I should watch it again sometime. Who else agrees that this was a great movie and what were your favorite anime movies to watch as a kid.
YESSSS
Watch "Grave of the Fireflies", one of the best Ghibli movies ever. It´s the best movie you never want to see again.
It´s supposedly a true story too.
***** It is from 1988 i believe, so it´s from the good old time where the story was deep and characters had some depth to them.
I always watched Laputa: Castle in the sky. I was scared of spirited away as a kid hahahah but it's definitely a wonderful movie
xoxoIsabellexoxo I remember castle in the sky I haven't seen that movie in forever. I should watch it again sometime.
I go to Tokyo almost every couple of months and have a few key places I visit in Akiba every time. Glad to see you included the Tokyo Anime Center in the UDX Building. All of these places sound like heaven. 😍 If only there were some in America just like that.
It is my absolute dream to go to Japan!!! I plan on trying to go for my 21st birthday. The only issue is I think I will end up spending every penny I have without even realizing it lol. Just look at all those glorious places!!
These locations are definitely on my bucket list. Thank you WatchMojo

Great video, I'm a fan of Japanese & Korean animé watching from London UK.
I can't wait to go to study abroad in Japan! I know that Studio Ghibli will have an amusement park being opened a few years from now.
Really good list and interesting travel destinations.
First, Pokemon Centers are in at least seven different areas of Japan, not just Tokyo (there's another one in Tokyo Skytree). Like Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Sapporo...the Pokemon Center you talk about is simply the biggest.

I may sound like a weeaboo, but I've done my research. *pushes in growing nose*

Awww i just came back from Japan....i saw Mandarake but didn't know it was that awesome!!!
What an awesome video! Really wish I can visit all of these destinations!!
When I was in Tokyo and Osaka, it was so damn amazing! I visited J-World, Animate, the Aoba Castle, Pokémon Center, the Gundam Front, Universal Studios, Akihabara.... The narrator said "Sendai Prefecture" at somewhere around 2:45, but it's actually "Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture".
Heading to Japan in 2018 for my college graduation, and i just can't wait!
These are great! There's also the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory for fans of Detective Conan. And for people interested in making manga or anime, there's Manga School Nakano (with a teacher who can offer classes in English) and Yoyogi Animator Gakuin.
Great list! Japan is amazing planning my 3rd trip already.

Remember 3 places below: the Big Sight, Yokohama Minatomirai and Makuhari Exhibition Hall, because all great anime activities are held there.
Never seen the video yet, but I want to go to Iwatobi!
It's kind of a shame they didn't mention Universal Studios (at least in the honorable mentions) because there are numerous anime/manga related attractions that rotate throughout the years. Oh Akihabara you never disappoint.
thank you
Oreimo is funny to watch I love it
Holo cartboard cutout was the best part of this video
anybody know the music name at 6:53?
What about the Evangelion shop in Hakone?
Welp looks like Japan is on my travel destination, i wonder if there are any maid Cafes?
I researched a little about japan touristic points and i can say, they have.
Well that's really cool :), now im more convinced
Go to maidreamin cafe in Akihabara
The main concentration of maid cafes are in Akihabara.
More anime top tens!!!!!!😢😨
Japan is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oreimo! one of my favorite shows
Last time I was this early watch mojo was making lists I actually give a shit about
I remember the plot of Yowamushi Pedal was indirectly due to Akibara.
Turns out, long story short, doing this every day since the fourth grade has made him excellent at long-distance bike riding, and he's recruited to join his school's bike club.
you don't know they are running out of ideas, they get their Ideas from fans. they recommend it to them. and the count down gets created
Totally called Akiba being #1!
Welp, y’all have just given me another ten reasons to go to Japan xD
Did watchmojo just, used.

Loli?
