8:16 Regarding the Spider-Man man ride: it's a carbon copy of the Spider-Man ride in Orlando. The reason it looks like the 90s cartoon/the comics is because the ride originally opened in 1999 and because of the theme park rights to the character. Due to the nature of the contract Universal got for the theme park rights to Marvel characters (basically everyone except for the Guardians of the Galaxy and some other characters who were considered minor in the late 90s/00s), they were allowed to keep using those rides pretty much for as long as they want, even though Disney outright owns Marvel now. The only catch is that they can't change the rides to match the current Marvel movies/shows that Disney produces.

@@Chubby_Bub It makes much less sense to ban a specific clothing item. I was looking away from the screen when that part came, and still thought "No way are sleeveless shirts banned. She had tattoos, right?"

Japan was recently hit with a large earthquake literally on New Year's Day. It's no Tohoku Earthquake but it's still a rather big thing for the region. I'm not saying he was wrong to release the video, but you have to admit the timing was rather unfortunate.
I dunno. It’s pretty tangentially related. Just a series of unfortunate events with nothing much to do with each other. Not like anything they did caused the earthquakes

I went at the start of 2019 and I’m extremely surprised how much it’s changed since then. The only things I remember being the same so far have been the Jurassic park the minions and the spider man ride. Edit: some of the attractions are pretty much the same in a different skin such as the one piece show.
An amazing channel, I was so close to visiting Japan at one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit this amazing place.
I appreciate Jaiden for joining Jacob for the last part of this experience in Japan to at least try to not make him anymore in debt and hated by his bank than he probably already was from this trip
As someone who grew up around Orlando parks, it makes me so happy seeing Jacob discover the Spider-Man ride and be so excited for it. Especially since it's been in USO for decades and is a staple there.
Why doesn't that attrition allow people with tank tops? It's becouse of the yakuza population in japan and people with long sleeve tattoos and tank tops are litterally the stereotype of most yakuzas. I hope this awensers your question:)
It’s funny you mentioned 7-Eleven. Those things are hilariously common in Japan. I’m pretty sure a majority of the 7-Elevens in the world are located in Japan alone.
Yeah heck IIRC 7eleven is now owned by a Japanese company. Honestly one thing I think is even crazier is that the busiest 7eleven in the whole world isn't in Japan and its not in the United States either, you'd never know it in advance but the world's busiest 7eleven is at a train station in Copenhagen, Denmark. One that I regularly go to even just because its a good place to get Yakitobi or a pastry while changing trains. Like I'm sorry how?!
BTW, for anyone who doesnt know and cares: Jaiden wasnt banned from that one ride because of her tank top, it was because of her arm tattoos: in Japan, tattoos are usually only gotten by members of organized crime, and many hot springs and similar points of interest ban people who have tattoos as a blanket action to keep Yakuza out, to avoid trouble in the establishment.
@@GemedetAdept I can't CONFIRM this is why she got turned away, but this is a real phenomenon in Japan (source: my step-father lived and taught there for ~5 years in the 90s, and my personal visit to an Onsen (hot spring) during a trip to Japan a few years ago), and that makes a LOT more sense than banning people for wearing a certain type of shirt impo

Did you not see the Whitebeard and Ace Graves? Is it still there?
Hell yea more Stories of Alpharad's Japan Trip! This is gonna be great fun to watch!
Randomly showing jaiden ruining the trip. At least she wasn’t clickbaited.
2:22 Watching this part without sound or context was an experience.
How to prank Jaiden on April Fools
1) Hide all of her Pokémon plushies in a safe spot and don’t tell her
2) Wait and see the results
I went at the start of 2019 and I’m extremely surprised how much it’s changed since then. The only things I remember being the same so far have been the Jurassic park the minions and the spider man ride.
Edit: some of the attractions are pretty much the same in a different skin such as the one piece show.
the jump force music as the background is actually perfect. love it!
7:40 who is that?
Your mom.
@@JollyBubuyugahahaha
Idk but the celebrity looks like Law from One piece.
As someone who grew up around Orlando parks, it makes me so happy seeing Jacob discover the Spider-Man ride and be so excited for it. Especially since it's been in USO for decades and is a staple there.
7:29 OK…………………..…………………………why?
Why doesn't that attrition allow people with tank tops? It's becouse of the yakuza population in japan and people with long sleeve tattoos and tank tops are litterally the stereotype of most yakuzas. I hope this awensers your question:)
I LITERALLY WENT TO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN RECENTLY AND NOW THEY RELEASE ALL THE COOL ANIME STUFF???
5:37 I like how dash is in this single clip and then is never shown or mentioned after
Ikr I got jump-scared by altrive and spent the rest of the video questioning if I was stupid
I recommend going to Malaysia. Just because I’ve been there and you will have the “adhd shiny Gimmie Gimmie” impulses go x10000
Ah yes, my favourite anime, Despicable Me.
13:02 "all these costumes" *A wild chopper appeared!*
It’s funny you mentioned 7-Eleven. Those things are hilariously common in Japan. I’m pretty sure a majority of the 7-Elevens in the world are located in Japan alone.
7 eleven is everywhere lmao
Yeah heck IIRC 7eleven is now owned by a Japanese company. Honestly one thing I think is even crazier is that the busiest 7eleven in the whole world isn't in Japan and its not in the United States either, you'd never know it in advance but the world's busiest 7eleven is at a train station in Copenhagen, Denmark. One that I regularly go to even just because its a good place to get Yakitobi or a pastry while changing trains. Like I'm sorry how?!
it is. They have a whopping 21,000 stores lol. In contrast the US and Canada combined have 13,000 lol
It has like double the amount of the number two spot which is Thailand lol.
Its so funny how when he was talking about the staff at the one piece show, he panned to one holding up a no filming sign. XD
BTW, for anyone who doesnt know and cares:
Jaiden wasnt banned from that one ride because of her tank top, it was because of her arm tattoos: in Japan, tattoos are usually only gotten by members of organized crime, and many hot springs and similar points of interest ban people who have tattoos as a blanket action to keep Yakuza out, to avoid trouble in the establishment.
I won't take your word for it, but this would make a lot more sense. I got very confused at that bit.
This comment should be at the top, people should be aware of this if they are planning a Japan trip.
i feel like a rochetman sea train ride for one piece would be awesome
Alpharad and his money vs merch stores is a never-ending fight.
ok so fun side note kind of. the reason the peanuts are at universal Japan and not at universal orlando is because cedar fair (cedar point, and Knotts berry farm) owns the rights to the peanuts in amusement parks in the united states at least.
1:04
The look of a man who is contemplating his life decisions.
As a person who wants to go to Japan someday this was an awesome vid.❤
3:47 "Is that a dinosaur?"
Objectively speaking, Jacob, no it is not. That's a Pteranodon, which is a pterosaur. It's a common misconception.
That’s what I’m saying
You spent $17,000 In miscellaneous In japan........
You are LUCKY AF. I need a jouske plushie.
Duly noted; Universal Japan requires about $2000 for just merch. Cause ain't no way in hell that I'd leave there empty-handed.
i think the sanji dinner one was where the show actors would go around the tables and be acting while sanji brings out each course! if it is that, it make sense you'd have to book it TwT i dont watch one piece but i'd DIE to go there!
Japan is the only place where putting yourself into financial debt is part of the fun experience!
Your travel/theme park content from the past year has been really cool, I'd love to see more eventually!
The best part of the video 9:52
Ngl, I'm not nearly as good of a friend. If one friend can't go on a ride, they get stuck holding bags and waiting while everyone else does the ride. Gotta respect the commitment and care to just miss out for one person.
