All in all I think Tom Kenny’s talent is still present, I really like the way SpongeBob sounds in these later seasons. He sounds more sophisticated but in a perfect cartoony way to not feel detached from the character.

Voice changes due to age happens to everyone, Tim Burtons voice in his 20s compared to now is vastly different, Eminems voice is one of the most famous points to this subject, Mark Hamills voice, Al Pacino, you, me, the little old man down the street it’s impossible to avoid, its a little sad but we just have to accept it as a part of life.

Older VAs tend to lower the intensity of voice acting that involves high pitched voice. Norio Wakamoto for example can't do a high pitched voice when voicing Cell in recent years unlike in the 90s

I noticed his voice change the most, when playing Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, as the game originally came out in 2003 which is during the time of the older seasons when his voice sounded like it did, but then I played the Cosmic Shake and his voice sounds much different as it's his current voice not his original voice and it does sound off as all the other characters around him sound like they used to when the show came out, but SpongeBob's voice is slightly different. Though this is due to Tom getting older and doing this voice for over 20 years now so there's nothing you can do about it sadly.

Well, I mean he was in his mid-30s when he started the role, and now he’s 61. He’s also done several roles that require raspy voices and/or lots of screaming. I think that plus natural loss of range that comes with age has effected him. That being said, he’s still super talented!

Yeah spongebobs voice used to be lower pitched but once later season 1 hit, his voice was pitched higher although it was probably nick’s decision
Tom’s now the voice director though, he took that position a couple years ago, it’s back to how it used to be in the early seasons now.
