Thanks for this video, I’ve been trying to figure this out for the past week. Didn’t know I had to push it forwards then use it. Also didn’t know about the light delay, I swear today it was on for a minute and after checking to see if it was still on, I just turned off the lights completely
Hey joe,I have a question.I did exactly what you showed us in your video but my automatic hight beam won’t still turn on.does that means my car has a problem or doesn’t have the hight beam?
It could very well mean that your vehicle isn’t equipped with high beam assist. You could try calling a Nissan service/parts department with your VIN to be sure though 😊
@@caseyhunt1really? Gosh that doesn’t seem smart in Nissan’s part. I have been trying to get the auto high beam lights on, and it doesn’t seem to work.
Love my new Pathfinder but can't stand the auto high beams. On and off so frequently, it's a sure way to get pulled over. So thank you they will stay off for me!!
Thank you for this, so easy to understand. But my high beam automatic light does not work. I wonder if i am doing something wrong! Any help I will appreciate it!
Thank you for the feedback! Ensure that the switch is set to “auto” and that the lever is then pushed forward. If you accidentally pull the lever back to the neutral position then the auto high beams won’t operate. Also, make sure fog lights are turned off 👍
Thanks for watching! 👍 I don’t think it’s available anymore for adjustment. Just auto lights or manual light settings. Light sensitivity is quite a nice feature when available though!
@@karenpierce7679 yes I hear you. I was actually anticipating this change though. I think just for better visibility while driving for others. You’re so welcome, thanks again for watching 👍
Depending on your vehicle, you will have ambient lighting settings in the drivers assistance display that can adjust brightness for your ambient lights. Or it maybe located in the centre console for the adjustment. Then you can leave the stalk in auto for the auto headlights 👍
I am planning to buy a used nissan altima car but am looking for intelligent high beam assist on the car . Do I get this feature from 2017 or 2018? few blogs confused me. Please help to answer the question Thanks Loki
Thanks for the message Loki! I think depending on where you’re buying the car, Canada/United States etc. it will vary which options you have available but in my experience working with Nissans in Canada, you won’t have intelligent high beam assist until 2019 models. Thanks for the view and feedback! Cheers!
I am buying in the US as i live here. Can you confirm here as well from when we have this feature available in US nissan altima? Your confirmation is really appreciated
You shouldn’t need to switch them off of auto. A few technicians I’ve worked with have said to physically hit the lock button on your key fob to help turn off accessories and have less of the tech active while the vehicle is off so that you save batter but I’m not sure how true or accurate that is. But again, auto headlights should be fine to have leave on auto.
Hey thanks for the question. Can you confirm if you have the auto headlight feature? Your vehicle should have standard day time running lights if it’s 2015 and those daytime running lights are always on until the vehicle is turned off.
@@lifewithjo5 Yes, it does have the auto headlight feature, but in the last couple of days, I found out that the auto headlight only work if the foglamp turned off, is it normal? My mate told me that the DRL doesn't go off in the mid day is normal so I'm not concern about that. I'm sorry if my english isn't very good
Hello mate, I have a problem with these automatic front headlights on my 2017 T32 x trail. The headlights as you probably know are fully automatic and the height or position of the headlights can’t be adjusted ‘manually’ like in other or older cars. The problem I have is that when driving at night the headlights move down to the lowest position/level there is and it is basically impossible to see anything ahead of me without full main beams on as the headlight are pretty much pointing towards straight at the ground. From what I know so far it could be a levelling issue from the linkages underneath the car which control the position of the headlights. If you have a solution for this problem then please do let me known.
Thank you for the question! I spoke with a good friend and service tech manager about this to confirm what could be done and he stated that this kind of thing is typically brought in to a service department to have adjusted manually (levelled), about 0.5 hours to do for a technician for this adjustment. Hope this helps and thank you for the feedback/view! Cheers!
@@lifewithjo5 Thank you so much for this information. I have told several mechanics in my local area of which had no idea of what I was talking about or what it could be.
You can adjust the light from your rear of headlight! There are two premium you need just a screw driver to adjust it. Reply here if you found any trouble regarding this!
@@rahmantwo5133Hi, my vehicle’s MOT or also known as technical inspection was due yesterday I’m afraid that it will fail if this issue is not sorted, which screw are you talking about, from what I know the headlights are 100% auto levelling and there is no ‘manual’ way to change the position/level. Please reply ASAP. Thanks.
Depending on which vehicle and the year, you might have automatic daytime running lights but you need to be in drive to check. If you have to manually turn them on then it would likely be the left stalk/lever by the steering wheel, the end of the lever you would spin to engage the lights. Hope this helps!
You should be able to disable the auto high beams but pulling the headlight lever toward yourself. To re-engage the auto lights you just have to push the lever forward again past the pressure point 👍
I do believe it’s standard to have fog lights on the Sentra SV. Typically the fog lights are on the headlight stalk closer to the steering wheel column and the headlights need to be activated for the fog lights to work. Here’s a link with some clarification that might help. ruclips.net/video/xjZkxCi-OB8/видео.htmlsi=IIuPyBuCs39Vbm4K
I’m really not sure why that would be but I’m wondering if the lights need to be adjusted unless for some reason the bulbs are failing. Or one of the settings is incorrect 😄 hope you’re able to solve the issue there!
Hey thanks for watching! The Sentra auto high beam assist will work the same as in this video. Turn the stalk switch to auto and push the stalk forward past the pressure point to engage the auto high beam system. Pull back on the stalk to turn off the auto high beam setting! Hope this helps!
Does this work on a 2017 rogue sv cause jeepers it is nothing like my other vehicle forward for high back to dim. If I do that in this vehicle my lights go out. Pretty scary when traveling at highway speeds
Unfortunately I don’t think you have that function available in that year and model. But try out some of the lighting functions when you’re parked in front of something that will allow you to see the lights while sitting inside and operating them safely 😄
To turn high beam assist off you’ll have to pull the lever/stalk back towards yourself. That way the auto headlight feature stays engaged without the high beams
Thank you so much! I just got in a Nissan Altima in nighttime dark. I feel like you actually saved my life. ❤❤❤
