Thanks for this video!! Previous owners did exactly this, changed floors and didn’t properly attach to countertops. I will do myself as is wood 😊. I have fixed the latch. Thank you!!!
Such a simple fix actually. Glue a strip of plywood to the bottom of the Granite and then a couple short wood screws through the dishwashers tabs into the wood. Or the granite installers should have a metal strip that fastens to the cabinets on each side when in position along the bottom of the granite; you then just put a couple short screws into that.

I also had an identical model Frigidare dishwasher that worked fine--up until the day the door wouldn't shut. After watching this video, I gave up as I have a granite top over mine and can't afford repairs.
So I was handwashing my dishes until Habitat for Humanity sent an inspector out to consider making repairs for this low income senion.
The inspector looked at my dishwasher and said, "I see what's wrong." Then he got the door to shut!
I asked if he could teach me to do the same thing. He said, "just lift it up a little when closing it." It's worth giving it a try but my dishwasher was only 13 months old, mechanically sound, and now it works like the day it was installed. Good luck and I hope someone gets a good result as me.

My unit is level, but it doesnt latch. I replaced the latch mechanism already, assuming that was the problem. I hit start and it ran with door open

I can’t tell what is obstructing my door. It sounds like and looks like the same issue but you would still think I could maneuver the door up down or side to side and still be able to shut door. You are saying that the level being off would totally ruin your attempts at shutting. I am by no means a mechanic but it just seems I would be able to muscle it shut. When I say muscle I don’t mean to the degree of messing it up. Thanks
