Wait so that's what the simplify thing do
great
The simplify makes your scene lighter by lowering subdivision settings and such across the board! It wont help the render, but will make your viewport more responsive!
Yo that eye dropper for the color ramp got me mind blown already
Yeah, I knew that you could select individual colors that way, but had no idea you could sample a full gradient all at once by dragging. Way cool.
@@oodoodoopoopoo yee
truely wild
🤯🤯🤯🤯
100%. jaw dropped when I saw that.
That middle mouse trick works to move to different perspectives also. 💡
Yo that Viewport Tip was actually life saving. My PC always struggles with more than 100k Vertices, So I will use that Trick to navigate my Viewport. I love this series. Keep it up. Can't wait for Part 5.
Thanks Harnai! 🖤
I really enjoy these kind of videos, as we don't only learn from the content itself, but seeing tips and tricks provided by this community in the comment section as well! Keep'em coming! Here's a simple little tip:
💡Pressing Ctrl + Spacebar maximizes whatever viewport or panel section your mouse cursor is hovering over. But there is a way to hide even more UI (as generally, top menus within viewports or panels remains when maximizing views). To get the absolute most screen real estate, press Ctrl + Alt + Spacebar instead! This gives you the maximum screen space to work with with the least UI involved (especially in say a 3d viewport!) Note: be aware that which ever shortcut you use to maximize, you must use the exact same shortcut to get back out again, otherwise it won't work! (I chalk this up as a bizarre Blender quirk!)
Thank you’m! I actually use this a lot for recording my vids aswell. Great tip, thanks!
💡If you set up a 4D texture such as Noise, Musgrave, or Voronoi , duplicate it, animate one W value from 0 to 1, and the other from -1 to 0, and crossfade them in a mix node, you have the basis of a looping animated procedural texture that looks good without pingponging forwards and backwards. Among other things, this can be used to power geometry node setups that result in a loopable animation.
Good tip, thanks!
Thanks. Those optimisation tips are a real life-saver. You are a hero, man.
No worries! Glad you like it.
💡while using collection instances, we sometimes want to disable the original collection from render. but doing that will cause all the collection instances disabled from render. And you cannot move auto of camera view because moving the objects in original collection moves all the instances.
So, inorder to disable the original collection from render, we can move the original collection inside another empty collection("dummy") and disable the render for that dummy collection. This solves the issue💡
Ooh nice one! Had this issue many times myself.
My tipp for the denoised preview: you can enable that the denoise just starts after a certain amount of rendered samples. I put my denoise to start after rendered 3 samples in the viewport, so animations aren't weirdly blured or moving takes to long, but if you have a still image you see it wonderful denoised. Just increase the "start sample" propertie in the viewport denoise settings. Hope that makes sense to you guys😂❤
Great tip! I leave it on 0 since my 4090 can render out like 50 samples instantly anyways, but you're right that this can help for previewing animations without weird denoise distortion!
💡 you can hold Alt + middle mouse to look around
its like pressing the dot but without the need to select an object
👍👍
Backspace on ColorRamp (when selected) resets ColorRamp to default settings. Very handy!
Goes for any node and yes very, very handy! 💡
This has become a great channel on getting updates on blender in 2023!!!! I simply love it!
Wow, thanks!
@@KaizenTutorials Are you familiar with the other color management displays like Agx and ACES? They're experimental and come from a guy named sabotka.
Yeah I know them!
Your content is awesome. I learn a lot. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you, appreciate it!
Its amazingly free aplications with vip high end taste. I never regret learn blender since blender 2 .
Blender ftw!
Love these videos, thank you!
Love to hear it, thanks!
1:40 Also try selecting 2 or vertices before moving them with Alt-V.
Also try Alt-D to extend the vertices instead of filling.
Nice one! 💡
💡 You can use alt+d instead of doing shift+d to make duplicate of object, it won't increase the amount of vertices, faces and all 🤓
Good one! It’s an instanced (linked) duplicate! Good tip 👍🏻
@@KaizenTutorialsohh i didn't know that, cuz i just started learning blender😄
@IamSpiderBatman well its extra great you knew about alt+d then!
Amazing tips, thank you!
You’re welcome!
Alt+V .... I'm using blender since 2021 and i didn't know about this
Thank you ❤️😊
Thanks for the video, bro !
No problem!
You can hit E on any color socket. 💡
Amazing work
Thank you!
💡you can do calculations in text fields
for example I'm gonna put ".8 + .3" blender will evaluate it and set "1.1" into field
Yeah that’s a dope function, thanks!
Whoa. $99 a month for Blender Academy? They do realize we're all using free software right?
They’re fully aware of that, yes! But their intention is high quality teaching that will really help you grow fast. So if you do have the money for it and want to make a living out of Blender it’s well worth the investment and a lot cheaper than a college or something 😜
The turntable one could just be a #frame in the z axis of a collection too! :)
Yeah it could absolutely!
blender was running faster than i know
Awesome!
7:07 Thanks! Sometimes I managed to activate this shortcut, but wasnt sure how G+RMB(Mouse middle click)
Thanks!
Thank you!
How did I miss this juicer of a vid?!
RUclips doesn’t know what to push these days 😓
Haha damn the algorithm gods!
Just discover this series, awesome condense info. Btw, I laugh so hard with the part of "I just hate to see those pixels" 😂
Haha yeah damn pixels! 😤
very cool! thanks a lot!
Thank you!
Impatiently waiting for the day render passes will be realtime.
If only…
@@KaizenTutorials They mentioned they are gonna do this. It's surely more difficult to implement and more performance-costly than post-processing effects, but it's ahead :]
My💡: alt + middle mouse button to "Focus"(only on surfaces), instead of period(.) key.
Nice one, thanks!
will try it out!
colorRamp - E - Drag - oh my!!!!
is there any way where we can render something like the image from the virewport with the denoiser on. i really like that "oil painting" sort image.
Don’t think so unfortunately. You can however render a very low sample image and let the denoiser create that effect.
💡 • Importing PBR Maps
(Unable Node Wrangler Addon)
> Select Principled BSDF, press CTRL+Shift+T.
> Locate files, select textures you wanna import, press import.
> Finito.
Love this one! Use it so much. Best way to set up a PBR texture. Thanks for sharing!
tips are great and all but it would be helpful to see your actual workflow. not as a guide but more as a reference. (and because i find it satisfying to see people come up with different solutions than me in their workflow)
Noted, thanks for the feedback!
I I’m sorry if someone has already asked (I look but not find any comment about it), but can I set up the turn table for a 360º turn connected to any time value that I choose for my time line?
Yep! It’s not easy though. Youll have to use a driver linked to the actual project frame length and then map range that to be 360 no matter the frame range.
You must be busy bro. Missed you a ton!🥰💖
Thank you! Currently in Japan so the content has been a bit slower.
💡If you have a Wacom Intuos drawing tablet, press the first button on your stylus to rotate, Shift+first button to pan and Ctrl+ first button to zoom in or out. I know these aren't some kind of life-changing tips, but I still wish I knew these when first using my drawing tablet. Hope this helps someone!
Good ones! Gotta keep our tablet users in mind here 👍
7:24 rblx oof sound Is my notification to tell me I've received a text from my son. This derailed me for a half minute until I figured it out. 🤦
Whenever he texts me and I'm somewhere within the earshot of any kids, their heads whip to look in my direction. It's funny to see them confused because they're not used to hearing it IRL. 😆
Hahaha love that!
Brother can you make video on how to make 3D enviroment in blender and export to unity with textures (like forest or city) because i have tried so many time to export to unity the Whole Forset scean form blende to unity some tome to obj does not export corretly or some time texture please
I’ll think about it, but it might be a bit too specific.
@@KaizenTutorials please make a video because unity terrain system is not so good and most solo game developer is comfortable with blender it will help lots of solo developers like us
appriciate it, u ever making a texturing course ?
Might do that! 🙏🏻
The turntable trick is cool, but how is it easier than using #frame/100 formula on the Z axis of the object?
Its not, but it’s more easily tweakable. Applies easily to any object and you can change a lot with speed etc
@@KaizenTutorials so cool to get an answer from one of my favourite RUclipsrs 😃
I dont know if it's possible for you to do this, but that method of creating the turn table animation is interesting, maybe you could use chatgpt to turn it into an addon
If you just accept geonodes as a replacement for most of the trivial add ons you're going to be incredibly suprised at what you'll find
Good idea! But I also agree with RodasAPCTV’s comment. GeoNodes can replace some if the basic addons with a minimal amount of effort!
Writing a python script to create add-ons is surprisingly easy bc of blender's developer tools, and meanwhile I have tried using ChatGPT to script for me and it gets it wrong most of the time. Once it even gave me ruby, while saying it was python. The ai lies!
Hi Sir please we would be happy for Blender Advance Tutorials
Noted, thanks!

The real-time compositor lags my computer really badly for no reason
I have to leave all compositing off until the last second now, otherwise I get terrible lag spikes
Hmm ok that’s weird. Maybe it’s to much for your VRAM or CPU…
No-ICE !!
*click* noice!
Thaw what you did there.
just make a video on blender addons free which we can use
Hmm maybe at some point yea
Blender Academy must be doing good because im still waiting for response
Oh damn! I’ll reach out and let ‘m know. Maybe something went wrong.
Blender is just about the shorcuts. So grab the shortcut sheet. Now!
Trueeee
Blender Tip-
If you are getting frusterated because of blender, Press Alt + F4. Helps a lot :)
Lol that’s an option I suppose
1:44 ...Why? why do this when you can just very easily set some rotation keyframes and move the object up a bit?? Or even better, parent a camera to an empty in the middle and put some rotation keyframes on the empty instead. I don't see the point of doing this
I ended up using this to make a turntable file with this geo node setup. Now whenever I need to do a turntable animation all I need to do is open this file up, append whatever I'm going to show off, then just point the object info to whatever I'm going to show (or use the collection info node I also tossed in there). It's useful to have stuff like this pre-built and waiting for you for next time you need them.
It's the same reason programmers keep code snippets. With the geonode setup you only have to set it up one time. Then it's a simple append every single other time you want to do it. It saves time. Maybe only 1 minute on each, but if you make 100 turntable animations, that's nearly 2 hours of your life back.
I get what you mean, but yeah read the replies. That’s basically why 😜
my turntable didn't work
Hmm ok! You copied the nodes exactly?
44 likes in 3 seconds. Nice.
Shame it wasn’t 69 amirite?
can you make your videos without background music it's so distracting and makes it hard to focus on what you are saying.
Thanks for the feedback, but I like it in there and am not planning to remove it!
How do you flip your models?
Do you press "S + X/Y/Z + '-1' "
well try pressing "Ctrl + M + X/Y/Z"
Nice tip, thanks! 💡
some tips i really like knowing is the ability to type in inches in a text field and blender calculate it as your default measurement if it is set to meters for example, and the ability to do math in them too, also using the tita key for quick view selects
Nice ones! Thanks 🙏🏻
