  • In this sound test comparison video, we metered the RECCE 5 alongside the SilencerCo Saker ASR 556k, OSS HX-QD 556, Sig Sauer SRD556-QD, and the SureFire SOCOM556-RC2 using the same host firearms and ammunition.
    For a full rundown of the B&K Pulse metering equipment used and the testing procedure, please refer to our "Introduction to Sound Testing" video available here:
    • Introduction to Sound ...
    We have also produced several episodes of our podcast, The Dwell Time Podcast, going in-depth on the B&K pulse system, our testing procedure, and experiences with it so far. The podcast can be found on all popular streaming platforms as well as through our website.

    I have both the Recce5 and Sig can, on my 10.5 Recce seems way quieter, but 16 not so much almost even. On my RDB the Recce is awesome. Great product.

    Even though this is to showcase y’alls suppressors, this makes me extremely happy that I have a RC2 in jail, one day I’ll get a griffin, but at the time, my knowledge was limited.
    Lol any chance you guys can add YHM stuff to the test.

    Looks like the Saker 556 was somewhat handicapped since its the "K" version. This is a great comparison video but I wish it was the Regular Saker 556, Wouldve made it a bit more accurate in comparison

      @@sharpend762 The OSS flows so quickly that there isn't much gas leaving the ejection port. The can sounds louder though on account of the gas leaving too fast.

    I know this is more about how the Griffin silencer did but got say I am slightly impressed by the SOCOM556-RC2. Usually when seeing that silencer being metered it usually does well at the muzzle and is shown much louder at the ear when compared to other silencers. Is that because this is in a controlled environment vs being outside with other factors? @Griffin Armament

    • @austingreen3888

      I think it may be related to cans being used. This can was brand new.

    • @Jrhoney
      @Jrhoney 4 года назад

      The K is where it's at. You'll never get true hearing safe with 5.56 so may as well have a slightly lighter and shorter can with nominal difference in suppression.

    i think you cherry picked the ammo and barrel length 11and 16.. 18 is more common then 11. to make the test look way better then it did. 55 grain? that's plinking ammo use a heavier round 62 or 77. and the griffen would not look as good as it did..
