    This type of thinking is what brought me to griffin when other companies had the market saturated. My Optimus with original baffles has seen at least 10k various call rounds with no issue other than connecting hassles.
    Can't wait to see what they've got coming after this! I'm the only griffin guy in my sub club now they all want this. I've got at least 14 emails and Facebook messages over it

    • @Killerloop357
      @Killerloop357 4 года назад

      I strongly suspect the answer is no. The tirant 9 piston is very small and likely will not accomodate this system. I just happened to notice that one day when holding it side by side to other popular 9mm pistons. Almost every other brand uses a single size piston that is bored to accomodate anything from 9mm to 45. Not the tirant series. The 45 piston is larger than the 9.

    • @evangreen7562
      @evangreen7562 4 года назад

      It will cause damage with high powered rounds. This is not engineered for anything more than a pistol caliber. You could use it on a 9mm MG but the Low pro 3 lug kit would be better honestly.

    • @paulswift4562
      @paulswift4562 4 года назад +4

      If you have a threaded barrel, you must remove thread protector or any attachment to remove barrel. Inconvenient but you can clean barrel without removal. Also it is not difficult to remove and re-tourque.

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  4 года назад +5

      you dont need to fully field strip a pistol very often. Every 6 months to a year is adequate depending on volume of shooting. You can clean alot of a pistol without taking it apart. That being said this takes less than a minute to take off when you want to field strip your handgun.
      DONT USE THREADLOCKER on the adapter and you wont have an issue. 20FT/LBS of torque is recommended

      You don’t, but neither do you really need to clean the outside of the barrel.

    • @trunkmonkey56
      @trunkmonkey56 4 года назад

      If you need to field strip the pistol and remove the barrel you will need to remove the 20ft-lbs of torque you applied to the adaptor on the end of the barrel and take it off. It's not permanently attached, and you shouldn't clean your gun every range trip unless you like taking this adaptor on and off all the time. I leave my guns dirty for at least 500 rounds and a couple range trips but often more than that. They'll be fine and it's only a socket or wrench to get it on and off.

    • @austingreen3888
      @austingreen3888 4 года назад +5

      No the A-lock uses a conventional thread, and has only one compatible attachment orientation ala Maxim's original interrupted thread system- the A-lok is the maxim system, interrupted in 3 places rather than 2. This system uses three identical lobes of cam like thread geometry (a novel interface) allowing attachment in each 120 degree orientation possible- eliminating the need to search for or identify the correct mating axial orientation for mounting. This system doesn't use a conventional thread, or a multiple index thread. The thread was not supported by a toolpath in the CAM system, because it didn't exist.

      No. It’s a 3 lug in a sense that they Miller 3 slots to avoid having to thread the piston all the way down like traditional ones. The angled taper is where this shines as it’ll keep cans from unthreading during recoil.

      Your hand has to come across the centerline of the barrel bore in order to attach something to the firearm. Proper safety, keeping your finger off the trigger, treating the firearm always as if it is loaded are things that will prevent any dangerous events ever occurring. For anyone reading this if you feel at all under-trained or uncomfortable/ill-equipped to safely handle a firearm you should seek professional training from an accredited instructor.
