    The engineering design of this 3d printed vehicle is just mind blowing lol

    These are brilliant…. I really wish you could partner with a company like big bad toy store and produce completed versions and figures… even if you sold them as kits to put together… these are amazing!

    First of all your models are amazing i have perches the hawk and delgado and their mech's i even even perches the hevy mech and it pilot's i am planning on buying this plane next and a lot more . I have a big question which resin did you use did use m58 or anti-impack resin . I have bin trying use anycubic abs-like v2 resin but its to brittle its ok for miniatures and statues but it does not have the flex necessary for the joints like you said in ather videos the knee area is problematic for lot of us who bin printing them . I know its all about useing the wright resin by the way i use the elegoo saturn 2 8k

      Hi, thank you very much! :)
      I use Resione M58, TH72 and Anti-Impact resins for the Vehicles and figures.
      M58 usually has the best surface properties (smooth, best detail, almost no visible print layers) and is almost surface dusting free (good for joints and movable parts).
      You can use it on it's own for the Mechs (including frame/limbs and armor/torso parts) and Figures, but it needs to be assembled no later than a week or so after printing/cleaning/curing, because it can become brittle over time.
      TH72 is great for all parts that require elasticity (like antennas) or armor parts if you want to exchange/remove them often. Also works great with the Figures, but there is surface dusting, so the moving parts will become a bit loose over time.
      However, the general mechanical properties are superior and it will remain flexible indefinitely and not become brittle.
      Anti-Impact is super tough, and great to use for mechanical parts because it is absolutely surface dusting free (when cured for at least 30 mins @ 60°C, but it can deform (flexibility) and is a bit tougher to print (more supports) and has not the super detailed surface finish like M58 does.
      For the best experience, I would recommend to mix these resins.
      The best resin mix so far for me has been 60% M58, 20% TH72 and 20% Anti-Impact.
      Base layer count: 10.
      Base layer exposure time: 50 seconds.
      Standard Layer exposure times: 2.5 secs (Mechs), 3 secs (Figures)
      Washing it in IPA for 25 Minutes.
      Curing time for that mix is 30 Minutes @ 60°C
      Hope this helps :)

      Ok so far everything is a success after 4 build plates 1 weekend of marathon printing I'm at the point of painting . In my head cannon of your sifi universe my pilots is a member of the elite jolly rogers squadron now I've been trying to find 1:35 scale decals but at last cant find . I'm planning on placing the jolly rogers skull on the rudders, what scale do you recommend 🤔

      1:35 scale decals are probably hard to come by, but I use all sorts of decals of different sizes, mostly HiQ Parts. You can find some great decal sheets of all different subjects at HLJ.com

      @teccotoys good morning here in new york . I was able to use 1/48 scale f-14 tomcat jolly rogers squadron decals I just avoided using enny decals that reference the f-14 . I also did customize the fowerd guns gear becouse the cavity were the gear is exposed is to deep and narrow, I have medium size hands and It was causing scratching of the paint so I took a spare peice of fowerd guns gear .i pind it and glued it so it sit higher allowing proper movement lol 😆 I have to send you the pictures thair not professional pics but I'm a real good painter I think 😉

    Do you recommend painting before assembly?

    • @teccotoys
      @teccotoys  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, it definitely helps making masking and detailing easier.
      I recommend airbrushing with water based acrylics, so the surface detail is preserved best.
      However, make sure, that all pins for assembly are free of paint. The assembly fit is quite tight, so in case you painted/airbrushed the assembly pins, make sure to remove the paint layers before assembly (scratching them off with a hobby knife will do fine).

    If i get a 3D Printing company to print this for me how do i go about transferring the file I buy from you to them and how do i keep them from making duplicate copies for their own profit.

    • @teccotoys
      @teccotoys  5 месяцев назад +1

      If you use a 3D printing service, like craftcloud, shapeways or sculpteo, you can simply create an account with them, upload the files there and choose the print method/materials you want. Those companies do not sell counterfeit 3D printed products based on customer's file uploads. Neither should any other 3D printing service, or they probably would be out of business very quickly. So those should be safe to use.
      Also, the most important thing about our print files is the right choice of resin, and the 3D print servcies usually don't reveal the brand names they use. I usually only recommend Resione resins, since I found them to provide the best results.
      So If you are presented with resin choices on the page of your preferred services, your best choice would probably be a nylon-like resin.
