I'm pretty hopeful they will, half life alyx wasn't a full sequel, i'm sure another game is on the way. Keep in mind HL2 was released 6 years after HL1, and HL:A was only released 3 years ago. Best thing rn is to wait patiently and be hopeful

You know what makes this even more hilarious/depressing?
Gordon experienced the entirety of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 in just a few hours from his perspective.

He is lucky that he didn't have to experience the Seven Hour War, although it's will be great because he could have stopped them from invading other countries and taking Earth resources and the world military is gonna be stronger than the resistance, but it's going to be too much cause it's an army we're talking about
@@Omega-jg4oq If we're gonna go with the implications and established lore, not even Gordon would've done much in the Seven Hour War with how seemingly endless the numbers of the Combine are.
Roughly 5-6 days to be precise, Two Days in Black Mesa because we start work at 8 AM and launch the rocket roughly around midnight judging by where the moon was in the sky. (Sans the several hours he was unconscious and probably asleep from exhaustion when the HECU tossed him in the trash heap) And then it's daylight the remainder of the second day from Questionable Ethics to Lambda Core in the periods we're on the surface. Half Life 2 we pretty much spend our entire first day on the run from civil protection from seemingly early in the morning to sunset, spend the first night treking through Ravenholm, Then escape through the Coast and reach Nova Prospekt again by Nightfall. We miss two weeks of the uprising and spend and 3rd day reaching the Citadel (Albeit we never see the sun go down) Nor is this the case in Half Life 2 Episode 1. I think it's possible Gordon and Alyx were unconscious for about 12 hours after the Citadel blew up hence my "Six" day estimate? and knocked out their train? But effectively the entire Half Life Universe takes place over the course of almost a week.

I like that around the 2010s where people joked and made gmod videos about Gordon he was viewed as a goofy unstoppable force.
And now we've come to realise that he's likely a deeply traumatised person.
Maybe we are the ones who changed...
If we get half life 3 should Gordon do the almost generic silent protagonist thing of saying one word before, I don't know, finishing off all of the combine and or the gman.
