No, the issue is not nuance. Colorado fans didn’t go find people so they could tell them how much Colorado was going to win or how great Colorado was. Colorado haters came and found CU fans so they could tell them how much they hated the fans and the coach. Not the school or the athletic program! This is how it STARTED not what it turned into. So after a while, CU fans stopped providing the nuance they were providing because the haters didn’t care about that anyway.
It’s not a lack of nuance when you hate someone for believing that their team could win. See you fans are the main ones who know what needed to be improved. They talk about it every day. Then some hater shows up and says your coach is a clown and you CAN’T win.
The question is "Why are you still talking about this man? The man only been there for 1 season and he's supposed to fix it overnight? You trying to build a team it takes time. What I love about him is he don't care. If you can't play why should you stay?

Not just 4-8. 5 losses within 7 points or less. (Utah - ranked, Oregon st. - ranked, AZ - ranked, USC - ranked, and Stanford. All within 7 points or less. Could easily have won all 5 with a better O line and D which they will have this year. The season before 1-11 with 10 double digit losses. Matt Rhule didn't do that and got bounced by CU but no one's talking about that. Other than Brohm, who else flipped the season last year for a brand new P5 coach? All of them except 2 had losing records. Not reported.

I fully understand the need for nuance when discussing Coach Prime's role, but it seems as if you're suggesting you're a victim for receiving criticism. Critiquing methods is common in sports analysis, and it's expected. However, some analysts have failed to properly consider Coach Prime's background and arrogantly believe they know better. Yet, Coach Prime has excelled at the highest level as a player, earned the prestigious honor of the gold jacket, and possesses extensive knowledge of the game. It's baffling that some individuals who have never played the sport think they know more about football and players than he does. They dismiss his expertise because he approaches the game differently from tradition. Simultaneously, they praise coaches who have never won anything yet except they like him personally, and he just happens to resemble them, or they may praise a coach because they are doing it the way they feel it should be done even if they have not placed a product on the field yet. This double standard is why many, especially African Americans, perceive the criticism of Coach Prime as unfair, especially in a political climate where some claim that whites are now the ones facing racism. As you said, he is bigger than College Football.
Coach Prime's bold personality stems from a winner's mindset that he has consistently displayed throughout his career. He deserved the benefit of the doubt initially, or at least give him the 2024 season to see where this is going, rather than being viewed as an outsider breaking into an arena that already lacks diversity in coaching, analysts, and leadership roles. It's as if he isn't supposed to be there, and that's the crux of the issue-at least how it comes across to many people.

Hey J.D. PicKell, my take is that there are 3 kinds of fans watching CU.
1. Locals: who love all Denver Teams. (example DNVR). They have been watching CU from birth.
2. College Football Purists: Who followed CU to see if Prime could create a powerhouse outside of the SEC and Georgia and Alabama. (example: Fans who have been watching College football since childhood and can remember every champion for like 5 years +)
3. People who watch a lot of ESPN and don't know much about College Football but watch NFL games. (Never watch College football before Coach Prime arrived at CU).
I think the people who are criticizing you are more from Group 3. I think You and i are from Group 2. And I think a lot of Group 2 started the support for Coach Prime but now are leaving because we now believe Coach Prime won't accomplish what we hoped he would accomplish. Coaching must be a hard job and Coach Prime looks like a wonderful coach. Buuuuuuuuuut, he is CLEARLY favoring his children and Purists don't like that. Football Purists LOVE competition. We love to see someone win cleanly and fairly. That is at the heart of football. Hand to hand combat. So if Prime is Favoring Shilo, then he is violating the Law of Football. And Group 2 will unfollow Prime. But good luck to him.
I gotta be honest: this is overkill. I get that this team gets the clicks and views and that's the bottom line, but it's a bit much. When you overdo it, you get fatigue. I am at that point. How should they be covered, as a 4 and 8 team. Peace out.

You can't build Long term success with only the portal. For one Colorado isn't going to attract all the top players when there are so many other schools with more money and a better opportunity to win a championship.

Same at the other top programs. You have to recruit high school talent. Yes some will leave, but not enough to destroy the program.

You guys kept up with the number how many players were into the transfer portal lotta colleges have that problem. There's middle ground when it comes to how people view CU and Coach Prime, however, since you guys are in the business of creating headlines, you go total opposite (both sides) to create dialogue. 3. If you did have a passion for Ivy League football, you'd dedicate a segment to it everyday, regardless of if people watch it or not. All your videos don't have millions of views. 4. You can speak negative about Coach prime, just keep the same energy with other coaches. 5. The article written could've covered the entire football transfer portal. However, a guy from Nebraska making it about one school, sounds fishy. 6. So, are you equating all teams that either was under .500 or had coaching changes, dysfunctional? 7. For one, you don' have to understand or agree on the way Coach prime handles the recruiting process. So my question is, what's the excuse for the other teams with poor records that use your method of liking? Also, you can say what he should do, but it's his team. 8. You can say all the negativity upfront and candidly. As a fan, the ONLY reason the fanbase is always up in arms is because of y’all’s approach. Everyone on the opposite side can clearly say whats wrong with coach prime, but no one has a valid answer. I promise if ONE media outlet comes forward and say what coach prime SHOULD have done then we as a fan base could go, “huh, I can see that.” “Why isn’t it like that?” But no. You know how you and Pate say all the "there's no offseason in College Football?" Well, when you've gone back to the Colorado well for the 12th time in three weeks because you know it's going to get clicks instead of....I don't know...talk about NC State? Or Tulane? Or Utah? Or insert team that might not get the same numbers, but would elevate the quality of content, that's when you know there is such a thing as an 'SCREAMS' OFFSEASON.
