For the next one maybe try homemade vs. ready-to-eat (not junk, rather some sort of meal prep service or quality ordered stuff) and compare aspects such as price, convenience, variety, taste, etc..
@@justusbecker5981 Yeah, I thought of that too, but I have no issue with it as long as they try different approaches as well. And since Hello Fresh is not ready-to-eat, it would still fall into the homemade category, so they'd have to find other ways for the quick and easy, yet quality options.
Those videos are everywhere. So I can understand why they don't do that. It's not realistic. This junk is cheaper and saves more time than those services, unless the food is ready to heat in a microwave in which it usually doesn't have preservatives and then is bland as heck.
That's why you should plan meals for the week before the week has started. So you know specifically what you need for the week. Easier to budget that way.

When I was a kid the only spinach I would eat was Popeye canned spinach. I saw it at Walmart a few years ago and bought a can out of nostalgia. I ended up throwing it out it was so bad I couldn't even eat it.
Normal almond butter isn’t that expensive. It’s more than peanut butter but only by a few bucks. Brandon went out of his way to buy expensive things is why it was $22 for a small jar of almond butter
"this video better fucking blow up and make us some money because goddamn whoever came up with this idea and it was my turn to buy the expensive shit"🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dudes, the split screen was fun, I was laughing through the whole video. I definitely used to eat cheap, with age and wisdom I'm more broke but happier with my swole foods.
@Lucid Magic unfortunately that’s not how it works. America forces companies to disclose everything they put into thier product and although many countries do this aswell, rampant corruption in government usually means that those regulations aren’t that well enforced. Take South Africa for instance. Our meat production is really good and the quality is world class. But this also means out locally produced meats get shiped over seas because they can’t compete with the dirt cheap imported crap we get from china.
Buddy, I shop for myself, wife and 3 kids. I live in Tennessee. I hate it when I spend more than $200 for groceries for the 5 of us for a week. (I could probably spend a little less but I’m not into snack foods and they are.) Those expensive prices are fucking stupid.
Right??? That was just gross! Maybe he could've splurged on the Great Value cheese from Wal-Mart. Lol it's a little better. I prefer deli slice cheese.
Excellent video guys! You are the main workout channel I watch. Really appreciate that you don't get into all the drama stuff. Keep up the awesome work!
I had the same reaction! Its not like i try to buy cheap, im actually pretty spoiled. But i do avoid junk food and snacks. And that stuff adds up. Eating oatmeal for desert every other day is actually pretty cheap and healthy! As they mentioned in the vid, get yourself some real cheese! Its taste way better. Fake cheese is just a punishment
If the expensive was toned down a bit and the entire challenge was done over the course of three months. I'd be interested to see which one genuinely shows the best results.
Pre-workout vs. coffee for a week - but the most raunchy, chemical-ly "enhanced" go-juice you can find. Check weight loss/gain, buffness, and general happiness... I appreciate you, and you guys are great!

I follow them from Chile, although I do not know English, I would very much like it to have the option of subtitles in Spanish, very good exercise routines, and meal plans a hug from Chile congratulations on your channel
As well as cooking skill and spices, all the different additives in the cheap foods definitely affect the taste, It would be cool to see a Zero Additives and Preservatives for a Month Challenge or something. Love these kinds of comparative videos, stay well and Stay Buff!
I've purchased inexpensive fresh spinach and other healthy items that didn't break the bank. Great video. I always enjoy what you both put out. I love both the family and gf inclusion as well. Peace out!
Love the new video. I couldn't help but think of Rocky IV through most of the video. The music sounds so similar to "Living in America" by James Brown.
You really took me back to my childhood with the canned spinach. Growing up on the Canadian prairies in the sixties, I'm sure my siblings and I never tasted fresh spinach. One trick we had was to put vinegar on the canned stuff. It was a huge improvement.
I'd like to suggest the Muslim fasting diet, where there's no eating or drinking from dusk till dawn, since Ramadhan is about a month away. Get a meal in before sunrise, and the next food & liquid consumption is after sundown.
So glad you both got beer. It just humanizes the whole fitness thing. So many times you see fitness youtubers and guys on IG just showing eating nothing but "good" foods.
We have this thing here, where foods are marked with a certain icon, which 100% guarantees that the product is made locally and that the farmer has followed a specific set of guidelines. Making sure the product is ethical, natural, hormone free and no other crap what do ever, has ever been used on or in the product. This was it's easier for you as the costumer to pick organic and good quality products for you weekly meals, md you're also supporting your local farmers. And the best thing about this, is that you'll find several different brands in the same category, allowing you to pick cheap (but still good quality) products, or super expensive (and still good quality) products.
I'd love to see a split screen challenge (i don't know if tnis actually falls under split screen challenge but hey) where both of you film yourself during a day when you have a hard time getting up, hitting the gym and so on. Sometimes there are these days where I'm just stuck in bed or on the couch and i really don't know how to get out of this 'slow zone'... so maybe you have different techniques to cope with such bad days, as I'm sure everybody has those :)
Could you do a video all about the app you use My Fitness Pal? I'm currently using it thanks to you guys and I would just like to know a little more about the in's and outs of the app. Thanks guys!
Spending money to buy KOSHER meat is always WAY better than not kosher meat. I've been eating kosher meat (mostly, with the occasional In & Out burger) for nearly 9 years. Every time I eat not kosher meat, I feel like crap for a few hours, I am more moody, and it just doesn't TASTE very good. This could just be me. However, I'd recommend kosher for a few extra bucks a week. Thank you for the video!

Thanks for thevideo, always pretty cool watching you to doing challenges! I just have one thing to add: Instead of buying very cheap meats you'd get way better quality buying lentils or beans for example as they are cheap, you'd still get pretty a lot of protein in and you can't really mess things up with the quality there. :)
i think you should revisit this comparison but go by macros and caloric build (for example: cheap-chicken thighs, expensive-ribeye) and see how it shakes out
body fortress! I use to mix those in my walmart branded pancake mixes when i was in nursing school 🤣. I gotta pick some of those up for old time’s sake.
I dont know about anywhere else but I remember in my youth back in the 90s tuna was a really cheap protein source as it was so cheap per can you could just load up the basket/trolley with it. I used to eat many a bulking meal of tuna and pasta or baked potato's with tuna. I think it actually works out cheaper buying chicken breasts or beef vs tuna given the prices of it since
I find that throwing in some extra veggies and fruits with meals makes me feel a lot less nasty afterwards especially if it's got a bunch of low quality ingredients in it like fake cheese. Might just be placebo but seems to help.
