In lived in key West as a teen in the early 90s. The best memories! I'm in my 40s and I still keep in touch with my school Mates. No place like it in the states.

Florida is great in winter, Miami is getting too crowded for my taste though.
The best thing about being in Key West is that your are on Key West time.
I always told people that. Key west time is always at 00:00 does not exist

I will be there in 2 weeks coming from Arizona. This will be my first time. My baby girl has been fighting brain cancer this past year and it's her Make a Wish trip. We are super excited. Thanks for the great video and information, its given me some good ideas while we're there.

I couldn't help but stop and say a quick prayer just after reading this. How is she? Brain cancer, or any cancer for that matter, sucks. I've conquered three, and they were very early, but my Mom and twin sister haven't been as fortunate.

We stayed at the old Art Deco Pegasus Hotel on Duval St. They had a rooftop area where we brought up some snacks and drinks and got a voyer's view of the night time action below and a bird's eye view of the architecture.
Fun Time.
PS... when we were there ... April 19th... the lower off season rates had just kicked In.

I did a trip September that year, and again last year with my family. I did some highlights of the road and from Key West of my trip, I am still a long way of this level of quality.
