Excellent video - you have such a calm and friendly narration, and love the scenery you get with your camera and drone. I'm definitely digging all your videos so far. Keep up the great work. Also a big plus you took your Mom on a trip to TN on another video, love that you did that - you're a good Son!
Robert I don’t know anyone on RUclips who does a better job on videos then You every time I watch one of your videos I feel like I am there thank you thank you so much keep doing a great job From Michigan
we lived in Miami (kendall area) for 10 years and can't wait to get back down there to camp in the Keys - watching this video was such a pleasurable walk (or drive) down memory lane. :)
You make the best videos. Enjoyed the hurricane shot, the diner scene, now I know inflatable boats exist, great music, and cool drone footage. Trying to go to key largo for the holidays this year in Dec
Love your videos, I use them all the time during my travels. One of the most recent I used was Tampa. The tower in Key Largo, I looked it up. It’s an old microwave (phone & tv signals) tower from the 50’s that is now owned by AT&T as a cell tower.
Another nice video Robert, At 9:06 the storm cloud on the left look like a dolphin, What type of action camera is that you were using. And did you see any other Rv CGs under $100.00 on your way to Key West.
+Max1Chase1 Hello, and thanks! I use a GoPro Hero3 White edition. Nothing fancy. About the campgrounds, you can find inland sites for $75, $80, but I decided, I'm only going to do this a couple of times a year, might as well get ocean view. BTW, I believe Point of View is closing down. They are going to build condominiums instead.
Well, i like your Videos. At eastern i was a few days at Key West and it was amazing, the sunset and the whole City and sea. We came from Germany just to visit the wonderfull state Florida and Key West. Your Videos are amazing, cool voice and a funy guy :D Greatings from Germany
+K. Bayquoi Hey thank you. I have done most of the music on Logic, some of the older stuff I did in Pro Tools, but I find Logic much easier for composition.
Greatings from Iowa! Thanks for the videos, Robert. Really enjoy watching you and your travels. Hope to meet you out there somewhere, someday. Fly pelican, fly.
The tower is the old Bellsouth tower. It was a microwave tower built to house all the phone lines and communication infrastructure for the Keys. Now being used as a cell tower.
Hi TR, Thank you for your excellent videos. You have an engaging voice and delivery with an accent that enhances it all. I gather you have a background in voice over work. Again, thank you.
Fred De Hello My Friend Thanks a lot for this great info I really appreciated soon next year I'm moving to Florida and then I will definitely keep this in mind to be down there around July 4 I will be heading down this July but is at the end of the month But definitely great information thanks a lot
After watching a few of your Florida Keys videos, I just subscribed, as I'm looking forward to more from there, as well as anywhere else you visit in the beautiful Sunshine State. I really gotta get some more of the videos I took here up on my Channel! Cheers, Paul.
Thanks Robert. You keep sharing your 'road' trips and I'll keep sharing my 'water road' trips (plus a few from beautiful Florida) and we should have everything covered ;-)
Hi I love your Minitini Voyage video's. I think I'm going to purchase one just like yours because of watching your videos. Could you put all the Minitini Voyage vids in a easy playlist? I've been looking all over your page to find them. Thanks for doing these video's you are saving me a ton of money on my RV purchase for my son and myself. We can't wait to get traveling.
Chef Holly Smith Hi, thanks. Here's the playlist of every single trip we've done... plus an early review. ruclips.net/p/PL8BELp7GKIuAU3RGLGqDKXOhMCDMU9Lr-
Well, the Chef beat me to it. Thank you for putting those videos in a playlist. There's nothing like having playlists to use, so you don't have to search for each video. Great job!
Does anyone know what that tower off to the right is near Key Largo, I've wondered that myself in the past when going by it? Was it possibly for making lead shot in the past?
Since you were curious. The tower was a microwave transmission tower for BellSouth/ AT&T for 911 and long distance in the keys. There is one way further down. Once they put in fiber optic lines back in the 90's (helped design that) they were no longer needed and the microwave dishes were removed. They are now really, over the top, cell towers. BTW, the video is great as always.
The storm/lightning was beautiful. The sky is so pretty with the clouds. Very enjoyable video! I'm cramming for our KW trip in Feb. Love your voice and narration. Watched the Overseas highway/KW video ten times! Will watch it ten more before Feb. I'll know the main points watching. :)
My first visit to Key Largo was April 1972 driving on US 1. Returned in May and drove south on the Card Sound Road to see the hardwood hammocks on the north end of Key Largo. Returned many times to visit Key Largo throughout the 70's and 80's.
Robert I came across your channel by accident and I am absolutely loving your videos especially the Florida videos I enjoy so much keep up the good work thank you God bless you merry Christmas all the way from Detroit Michigan the frozen north ⛷⛸
Hi Robert! I have been getting to know your videos. Well done! I love watching you travel to different cities in Florida. I plan to move down next year from NJ. Weather up here is crazy.
You're videos are great. It's sad that you would support that looser. He mooches off people's good nature. Please don't support. Let him get a real job and support himself like real adults do!
I wonder if Mrs. Mack's Kitchen is what used to be Mary's Diner? They make the "best Key Lime Pie in all the keys," and they are right! Back in the 60s and 70s, Mary had one rule. "You must buy dinner and eat it before you can have a slice of pie." But! It was free! And it was gooooooood! It was creamy but not heavy, and it had a fantastic flavor which I could never figure out what else it was besides the Key Limes, and she'd never tell. They still ship their pies anywhere in the U.S.A., and you have to order in advance. If you baught one to take with you, you really have to keep it cold, because that creamy filling was amazing. Oh I miss it.
Hi Robert, I have to say that this video is in my top 10 picks of all time from youtube. You did a awesome job with the drone as well as your camera shots. The shot of you driving while explaining the surroundings was cool to. 4 Stars to you and thumbs up.
Haha..what a fun video.. I love mrs Macs kitchen..the food always looks great. and I love key lime pie too. You just seem so carefree. :) It's very refreshing.
Great video, its very cold in Minnesota so when you say its very hot that sounds awesome, we will be in Key Largo soon... your video was very helpful thanks Robert.
Have you ever thought about getting a battery trolling motor for the boat, you will get to go further and see more sea adventures, check them out at Bass Pro Shops.
Good video. I'm a local in Miami and never RVd South of Miami. I've always headed North. I'm planning a 3 day'r in the Keys. I like the RV Park you were at. I think that's going to be the first RV park I visit in the Keys. Thanks for taking the time putting your video together. It has inspired me to head South....
Excellent job as always, Robert. if I remember correctly, I think the tower is a microwave relay tower or something like that belonged to Bell South back in the day. I had a chance to check out Grassy Key RV resort a couple of months ago. Great place to veg out. Bar restaurant The Wreck Galley & Grill within walking distance. Saludos, Bill
I just discovered your channel, watched a few minutes, and subscribed. A nice compliment to the other RV channels. You've got kind of a Desi-Arnaz-with-a-twist-of-Peter-Sellers thing going on... very charming. :)
I just subscribed to your channel. I really enjoyed your commentary, photography work, postproduction work you've done a fantastic job. Thank you for doing what it is you do. David from Western New York a want to be RVer.
Robert, I was just talking to my wife about Cades Cove and then noticed you wearing the T-shirt. Worth the trip? RV friendly? Our camper is a Gulfstream 19erd. Not much different than yours.
+Robert O'Connor Well, actually I bought the t-shirt by mistake. It looked exactly like the one for Clingman's Dome, which is where I bought the t-shirt, so I haven't actually been to Cades Cove. But there are many campgrounds in the Smoky Mountains, a lot of primitive camping though. We stayed at Balsam Mountain. There is a Cades Cove Campground that has great reviews, so you may want to check that one out. I'm sorry I'm not much help.
Hi Robert, love watching your videos. You give a lot of information at the places you go. I live in Arizona and we had bought a 23' travel trailer. Because of your videos of the four corners you did, me and hubby went to visit the areas you have showed . Even stayed one night at Gooseneck state park. Wouldn't of know that was there until I saw your video. We wanted to know how you mounted the Go Pro on your trail? May a short video how you did that. Looking forward of more videos
Rosie Lee Thank you Rosie. So glad you were able to visit those places. I'm going to do a video soon called "The Gear I Use", where I'm going to show how I do my videos including how I mounted the camera. It is just a GoPro mount but it works really well.
You seem to pack so much into your videos, how can anyone give you a thumbs down? They're always funny, informative, and extremely well laid out in general. Nice to see you supporting a fellow RVer who had transmission problems. Happy travels Robert.
Hi Robert, running the risk of repeating myself here I cannot thank you enough for yet another great video on your outing to the Keys. As always, your video making is impeccable and a real joy to watch.Well done pal.Greetings from William in Bruges,Belgium
I love the Florida Keys. Living in Nj, I can't visit as often as I would like to. So thank you for bringing the Keys to me. PS, I especially enjoyed your video of the distant storm.
Robert, missed this video when it was put on-line. Really like your videos of the keys as I live in Thailand and if I ever return to the US will have to stay on one of the keys, weather wise. Again love the parts you show about the food and drinks that are available. Keep up the good work.
Your vid-excellent! You are a talented man. .Living here is a blessing and you reminded me not to take it for granted. I'll subscribe and 'like'.Thank you for sharing with us.
Happy Thanksgiving Robert ! And of course that is to your lovely wife too. Chillin on Thanksgiving by enjoying your older Keys Videos, makes me miss being back home in South Florida less. The ones where you drive to Key West are also fun since a friend worked at the dolphin research center mid Keys.
sounds like a plan. I've been doing some research and I think I'll go with the DJI Phantom 2 vision plus. God knows I would love the DJI inspire but too pricy for now.
Hello Robert , when you film your driving videos are they filmed in time lapse or via normal video and then sped up? Presume you use a gopro? Will be driving highway 1 next week wondering the best way to film it
kennyken51 Hi, I use normal video mode sped up, on a GoPro Hero 3 White edition, just in case I want to show video at normal speed or just slightly sped up. With time lapse mode I would be suck with very fast video all the time, and even though the higher resolution would allow me to potentially zoom and pan, I find the ability to slow down more compelling, so yeah, normal video.
Loved the storm footage. Weird seeing a jelly by itself in the water. Love your Keys videos. Brings back memories of when i lived in Miami and i was always down in the Keys. Miss it so much.
Nice video Robert. Is that an aftermarket shower head in your bathroom? I have a small RV similar to yours and I need to change the shower head. Thanks for the videos.
Dear Robert,
thank you for your videos. I´d like them very much. It is always very good entertainment.
Many greetings from Hamburg (Germany)

Yeah... thanks for catching that.
TravelingRobert No problem. Goes to show you I pay attention to your videos.... Did you upgrade video equipment? Quality seems improved.
I've been using the HTC Re camera for some shots. The colors are nice but it sucks in the dark.

Cloud formation, storm @ 10:10 is remarkable. Thanks or providing. Not the biggest fan of Nomadic Fanatic. I think he e-begs too much.
+Rick Martin Thank you! That was a very lucky shot capturing that storm.
Good one Robert. We are planning to do a road trip to keywest in december. Is December a good time to visit florida keys ?
Thanks
Excellent month. It will be pricey and full since we have many snowbirds that visit in the winter.

Cool vlog, I was there last week. Drive down just to be there for an hour. Was worth the 2 hr drive. Good angles on the "keys sunset"

This place looks so nice, I wish they hadn't closed it down.
could there be a 20000 subscribers video like a 2 and a half hrs?
I wondered how you ate so much and still remained thin until I saw a video where you showed the check. And it showed there were two customers. LOL.
You have all those families there at the pool. As a single middle aged male I'm surprised Chris Hanson didn't show up! lol just joking!!!!
Does anyone know what that tower off to the right is near Key Largo, I've wondered that myself in the past when going by it? Was it possibly for making lead shot in the past?

One of the best key lime pies in the keys. Could the secret ingredient be condensed milk? I think I tasted a hint of that.
Hi Robert another great video, Also did you ever find out what that tower is. I ask my dad about that tower he lives in Hallandale, Florida.
It is supposed to be an old microwave communication tower. At least that's what people have told me.
Hi Robert, I have to say that this video is in my top 10 picks of all time from youtube. You did a awesome job with the drone as well as your camera shots. The shot of you driving while explaining the surroundings was cool to. 4 Stars to you and thumbs up.
redjaguar100 Thanks! I should do more of these then.
Mind blowing pics clicked brother. ..simply lovely. .love all ur videos. .Hi to Elli....
I love how you do your video and the sound of your voice doing the background commentaries.
+unclekennymusic Hope to bring some warmth your way.
The tower to the right is the old Bell South phone company tower, Still a great landmark if you are off shore in a boat
Robert you need to focus your camera! You finally did at the end of the video. Other than that, I enjoyed it!
No te olvides de mencionar la temperatura...ahh y lo delicioso que es el café cubano..
i love watching the old stuff! haha..never get tired of them. the pool area here is very pretty. not a bad place.
Yes, unfortunately this RV park is n o longer there. They made it into a hotel I think :-(
Have you ever thought about getting a battery trolling motor for the boat, you will get to go further and see more sea adventures, check them out at Bass Pro Shops.

Loved the storm footage. Weird seeing a jelly by itself in the water. Love your Keys videos. Brings back memories of when i lived in Miami and i was always down in the Keys. Miss it so much.
Yeah the Keys are great. Rediscovering them now with the trailer.
Your videos are incredible👍🐬🐠🌴🌎I hope to make it to Key West again someday~the drone coverage is awesome~happy travels Robert🤗
Thank you so much!
How big is your trailer, how many does it sleep and can we get a tour sometime.
Nice video Robert. Is that an aftermarket shower head in your bathroom?
I have a small RV similar to yours and I need to change the shower head.
Thanks for the videos.
Jimmy McDowell Yes, that's a Oxygenics, $32 on Amazon. Works much better than the stock shower head. Better water pressure.
