Hello, my playback function only allows me to view the camera's history within the last five hours. Has anyone encountered the same issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
Depending on the setup a system can use much more than that... not sure what your configuration is. You also need to consist things like: Does the bandwidth varies throughout the day? Did you measure the total bandwidth used by the system? Is the link exclusive to the cameras or is a shared link? Are you having issues in the client or server side? (Camera, NVR or mobile)
@@bestsecuritydevices Everything works fine apart from video playback on a mobile. - this *always* gives 'network unstable' even though live view is fine. Bandwidth is restricted on the substream but it just doesn't want to work... Seemed to be OK on IVM4500 - but not on the HIKvision app.
@@fermatreturns1008 Are you using the phone connected directly to the WiFi router that your NVR is connected to? Have you tried different bands (2.4 and 5GHz)? Is the NVR/camera using H.265, H.264+ or H.264 ? The mobile need to decompress what is compresses... check these details. Test the system slowly adding cameras, resources, different resolution, frame rate, etc... perhaps the mobile is the bottleneck.
@@bestsecuritydevices Everything works great for me when I use the preview while the phone is on wifi. When I use a mobile phone on 4G, live only works well in low resolution, HD 365+ loads up to 86%, stops and writes the error we're talking about. Playback also gets to 86% and won't go any further. Unfortunately, I can't switch the playback to SD (and I don't want to)

Thank uou
You're welcome
How do I get it on my computer? I used to be able to get it on tv but not anymore
I have very good upload and download speeds (51megabytes and 21 megabytes) and still get 'network unstable' all the time.

It is H264 - my NVR doesn't support H.265, only 264 and 254+
