Mine plays fine in HD but lags in Basic mode and playback. HIK is a joke, I wouldn't recommend, we have had so many problems.

If you a professional camera installer or enjoy MASSIVE HEADACHES, purchase these cameras. These camera's are EXTREMELY difficult to setup and idk what programs he has on his computers but after scanning all the QR codes on the box, camera, and silly little pamphlet that they try to pass off as instructions, I still have no idea what programs he has on his computer that are letting him see through his camera. I'm almost positive that I can get it working through Blue Iris, but I have no idea how I could ever view the camera through my cell phone, which I am supposed to be able to do. I'm sending it back because I don't want to go through all this when I can just get another iCSee camera that I can have up and running on both PC and phone in minutes.

Nice tutorial. Mine has weird connection. When im connected to my home internet, i can see the playback thru hik connect app. But when im outside, like go shopping , i cannot see the playback to my device using hik connect app while on mobile data. hmmm

How do I fix a " network is busy or disconnected, try again later" this happens when I'm trying to activate cameras on the nvr, cameras connected from a Poe switch

anyone know how to fix the OSCVG4-000005 or some slightly different error code? This appears when you go to replay, and select an older video, hit play, you see the % count up, sometimes more than others, then the error code. The only fix is to tap retry like 100x+ until you get lucky; I have accessed the camera both internally and externally via the internet: same results. The videos shared in the CIFS folders plays 100% fine using VLC. My setup is done using port forwarding to TCP/8000 to the internal IP, internet is Gigabit Fibre, but I doubt network is the issue as it is happening within the LAN as well! Any ideas? Im going to probe Wireshark for clues next if I don't find anything. It is currently faster to find a CCTV Clip by just double clicking it but this is time consuming due to the fact it is unindexed and you have to open and zero in on the video with the correct date/time stamp. Totally unacceptable! And I am not signing up or connecting to any HIKConnect Servers - Hint: Goverment & Politics in fact my firewalls are setup to restrict free outbound internet access, only inbound.

I have contacted my cctv installer and he no longer has them on his account also ( He Shared them to me) . I can not re-add the QR code, as i would have to travel.
