It actually pisses me of that Ian isn’t more recognized. He’s too fucking good. And Dave McMillan is a sick bass player
Dave fucking slays. Ian is a rock god. Together it’s otherworldly. Melts me. I have listened to this performance a million times and still listening. ❤️
The more I hear from Thornley and/or Big Wreck the more I am impressed. Good stuffs.
William Getz criminally underrated.
Can't think of a more legendary duo than Thornley with Dave McMillan on bass.
Brothers from another mother. So in sync.
Massive sounds. A fantastic ‘solo-off ‘ between Ian and the slide dude. Incredible stuff
The bass player kicks ass.
Yeah he does!!
Yes he does.I have suhr bass.Utmost quality!!
Damn that bass tone sounds good.
rare when you can just smile the whole time while watching! Great video! Pure talent! Tone out the arse
Incredible collection of musicians!
Ian's tone is always killer!
That's a jamnin tune!
That was f'n amazing!
I have to go to a Suhr show one day in my life !!.that was amazing.
Andy wood is a machine
Super nice guy too.
Andy Wood AND Thornley? wow.....
Ian is an amazing guitar player! Great performance!
Randy Cooke..... Monster groove.... Whole band killing it... love this
I think is my new favorite Band..
Ian showing a VERY strong Jeff Beck vibe on this.
Thank you Suhr Custom!
God I love this band. Come back to Alberta I want to see you again. This time somewhere better this time. Sound sucked in Reddeer.
They're playing Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival in June
I just seen big wreck in winnipeg fflr the 20th anniversary tour it was the best show I've seen along with when Chris Cornell did his higher truth tour I seen that as well. Ian Thornley is the only guy who could do Cornell. He was asked to be lead singer of velvet revolver and turned it down because he couldn't see himself being a front man without a guitar.
Sounds & feels GREAT !! SALUT !!
Truly inspirational!
Andy Wood AND Thornley :O
Sweet!!.. Very Funky!
Where's Ben Eller? No Ibanez allowed! I love the SUHR factory event every year. Andy's "The Hardest Goodbye" is my favorite (last year with Eller). Two of my favorite guitarists on one stage. Oh and the bassist McMilan is a beast in this song. Ian's best performance was Big Wreck last year. His singing and playing was the best I've seen.
Bravo !
I love it, but it's a lot rougher than the previous Suhr Factory Event performance of this tune. That is my absolute favorite live rendition of any song ever. This is a lot looser and experimental. Which is fine, but not something I want to listen to over and over again like 2015's.
Sounds like a subtle Ritchie Kotzen! awesome! ps. sorry for my ignorance.
No ignorance, I have just been listening to Ritchie and you're right, similar. But I would encourage you to listen to more Big Wreck, he is anything but subtle given the song, he can belt right up there with Ritchie!
Soooo damn tasty 😭 what rig was Ian playing through? That tone is so good
Muito Bom!!!
fuckin sick bass -- all very there tape wound strings?
nice to see that I'm not the only one that plays bass using the index and ring finger bypassing the middle finger lol
Anyone know what gain pedals / amp Wood was using on this track? Sounds incredible.
That steel player is...woah!
slick
6:19 lol
thornley could fill in for chris cornell
I was about to comment that! he looks similar to chris too.
