Thank you for making and sharing this video. My grandmother is from Tulalip (I currently live and work in AZ). Last night I dreamed I was in a long house with a large family-they were my family but some of them I did not recognize-maybe I haven't met them yet? My maiden name is Humphries-my stepfather is a Humphries and he met my mom when he was serving a mission on Tulalip as a young man. My mom first married a Navajo man she met in college and had me, my brother and sister and then reconnected with our stepfather after she divorced her first husband. I have been looking for a way to frame narratives for my work and research and kept thinking of totem poles. I love how this artist explains his craft in this video- it gives me insight. All this to say thank you making and sharing this video.
