HYPER UNREALISTIC WARNING: One guy that I just love in the back of my head is the idea that Serge will look at the contenders this year, look at GSW and think he'd have to do too much and sign with the Lakers. Lakers let Dwight walk and suddenly you've got the murderer's row of big guys wrecking your shit in Serge, LeBron and AD. LeBron and AD just tell Serge to spend all his time on defense and shoot five threes and post up with a bench group. Like jesus, could you imagine taking Dwight or McGee from this Laker's team and giving them Serge Iblocka? Like, everybody is looking at LeBron and AD and having to figure out how to match their size then you give them another dude you can't forget and it's just like...seeesh
Thanks for the pod ! The right destination for Aaron Gordon is actually the Wolves imo. Foundation for the deal should be Gordon and 15 for Johnson's expiring + 1, and you can play with other pieces too..
I don't really understand how you guys think that Blake + 7 is a better return for the Warriors (especially the Warriors) than Drummond and 5. (big center who can rebound, pass and finish, and potential Avdia pick). I think the right Horford deal is for Kevin love.
If i'm Washington, i'm thinking MPJ is the best case scenario for Beal. Assuming he's healthy, and he appears to be, he's the best "prospect" you could get IMO. Luka, Ja, and Zion are completely untouchable, aside from them, there's no one else from the 2018/19/ or 2020 draft i'd rather have. Anything else included in the trade would just be a bonus. He has 30PPG 2022-23 written all over him. I could see him as the next generations KD. Unguardable bucket machine.
I think Bill Simmons is underrating the value Wiggins has on this Golden State team. If I'm GS, I'm not using Wiggins + this years pick to get one piece. Giving up two assets for one other asset doesn't seem right to me given the lack of depth on The Warriors. Wiggins was disappointing as a leading man, but he still plays really good defense, is athletic, and at times is a really good scorer. At best he'll be the third option on offense. He's a better version of Harrison Barnes. Right now GS needs a good center to replicate what Bogut used to do, and some solid rotational guys for the bench. Unless you can turn Wiggins and the picks into multiple assets that help fill out your wing/big man depth, then it's not worth it to give up Wiggins just to get out of the contract. Wiggins may thrive in the Golden State system. He's a better Harrison Barnes at the very least.
sign Jeremy Grant to the mid level (if Grant doesn’t sign Sign Mo Harkless), sign Danielo Gallinaro to a little over the vet minimum and trade for buddy hield/Oladipo/Lavine/Beal or sign & trade for DeMar Derozan.. Whoever we get out of this trade package is a plus for us no matter what. Resign, Howard, rondo , Bradley, kcp if they pick up their options. If McGee picks up his player option bring him back or let him walk happily. Trade Danny green , Kuz, Tht, quin cook , 2025&2026 draft picks for Hield /Lavine / Oladipo/ Beal or sign and trade for Derozan. Starting: LeBron Lavine/hield/Oladipo Grant Ad McGee/Howard Bench: Rondo/Bradley Caruso Kcp Gallinaro McGee/Howard If DeMarcus cousins takes the vet min as we expect he can sign and share those minutes with Howard/McGee You could have a line up of LeBron Oladipo Grant Ad Boogie The shooting and floor spacing would be op and it all makes sense cap and trade wise
@@codysterling9974 2025&2026 are doable . It’s this years pick that wouldn’t be doable but it actually is as well. We simply just have to draft and then trade
Since 1970 the beginning of the modern era the Lakers have won 12 Titles to 6 for the Celtics, and from 1980 the Lakers 11, the Celtics only 4. Simmons has no argument here. Whether the Lakers were in Minneapolis or not for the first 5 titles it's the same franchise, and they didn't change their name..
Let me be naive for a sec. It's not out of the realm of possibility that Giannis would be so turned off by the Bucks but torn by some sense of morality that he would demand a trade to Dallas for KP just so the Bucks won't be left empty handed. Or he could say screw it I wanna form this Mythical Euro Cerberus 🤷🏽♂️

Sign-and-Trade Jerami Grant and a first round pick to the Clippers for Paul George. Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns for Kelly Oubre & Ricky Rubio is the perfect trade to catapult Phoenix into the middle of the playoff pack or best case contention.
