What I have found that works best for me, is use the Beam System for the initial layout, then remove the Beam System. This allows you to set the offset as needed for each Beam, if necessary.

I have always wondered why someone would dislike a good lesson like this. It just beats me. There is always something to learn,(especially in a program like Revit), and some idiot just enjoys disliking stuff. That said, THANK YOU Balkan Architect for putting this content out for us to learn.

Great video Balkan! Can the beam system be used to create the truss layout too? I can see how spacing of those can become more automatic.

Please people do not use the model in place tool to make “difficult” beams in these cases. If you just want it in your model for the looks its ok, but if you want to export to ifc or make schedules, or any kind if BIM model, use normal beams for this. You can cut the profile however you want.
    The beam at 16:11

Sooo painful to watch the coping member by member. Surely there must be a quicker way to adjust the nodes in the whole truss in one go otherwise you may just as well build it from scratch. Also the coping works on softwood timber maximum 50mm thick prefab truss with nailplates but when you go to 100-150-200mm thick members, you're most likely looking at hardwood/oak with tenon and mortice joints which are totally different concept.
