    Everybody covers this device from the angle of running a single remote on set monitor on a single camera shoot. My interest is a multi camera shoot, with 4 wireless cameras plugged into an ATEM Mini delivering switching and a live feed to the internet (Facebook and RUclips in my case), taking interactive questions from the online audience. So the latency issues for me also include audio sync considering my wireless mics will likely bypass the Accsoon and go straight into an audio mixer, then routed to the ATEM Mini. BTW - downstream of the ATEM Mini, I plan to have an Epiphan Pearl Mini encoder linked via a bonded cell modem to the internet. This is all a completely different scenario than providing a confidence monitor for a client, but a very realistic application of this technology to engage online audiences in a live event covered by multiple cameras.

    Wonderful review as always Philip, thank you very much :) A quick question, you mentioned your editing timeline is in 1080p, however your videos can be watched in 4K on RUclips. Do you upscale or render the final edit in 4K for upload, or do you do everything in 1080p and then actually up-sample it using a dedicated app like Topaz Video Enhance AI? I ask this because the quality of your videos is always exceptional and if indeed this is just 1080p rendered as 4K, then I must say the result is truly exceptional.
    By the way I use the standard CineEye 2, less features and no SDI, but enough for my need.. a great product indeed. Thanks again :)

      @philipbloom  3 года назад

      Thank you! Not a review though! :)
      I normally have native 4K edits. This was a 2K timeline that I expected to a ProRes master then got media encoder to up Rez it.
      I wouldn’t use Topaz for that. Sure it would be there but would take a day or so to do it!

    • @yuidfbse
      @yuidfbse 3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the reply, and indeed great final image quality. And you are right in regards to the usage of Topaz Video Enhance AI. Its a phenomenal app that with the right settings can produce stunning results. But the render times (even on very fast computers with dedicated GPUs running just for that purpose) are a nightmare. A 15 minutes 1080p video up-sampled to 4K would probably take days to render. Thanks again for the review.. hummm, first-look, hummm hands-on. As usual, your cats steal the show :)

    and secondly is it really that videos hurt the camera sensor more badly than photo and can reduce its lifespan? because I heard that when you take video you're exposing your camera senor to pick up more dust which is (the greatest enemy of sensor) more than photos because the shutter speed take longer time than photos to shut down especially for mirrorless camera like sony?

    • @philipbloom

      To properly assess latency across all the different options you can get from one camera that’s from the camera direct. One built in and one HDMI. Then SDI out to cineEye which gives me hdmi and sdi out of the receiver. All 5 of those screens need to be tested as the same time to see the difference. Then also the mobile devices.
      Do it properly or don’t do it at all.
