Olympiacos has not beaten once or twice Arsenal at the Emirates but three times in the last nine years! Liverpool and Manchester United have been beaten at Karaiskakis stadium for the champions league, also West Ham and Burnley for the Europa League. Liverpool's game against Olympiacos in 2005 is probably the most memorable for the club in this century (probably together with the 4-0 against Barcelona). Olympiacos would go through to the quarter-finals even by losing with one goal differnece, we took the lead with Rivaldo at half time before Liverpool put an epic come back in the second half to win 3-1 and lift the trophy in Instabul with that 3-3 against Milan. Please put some respect.

For anyone to say that Olympiakos are the same in Europe as Villa is a joke to say the least
Olympiakos have been playing in Europe the past 30 years without fail (most of them in the Champions league) Villa have done well this year and the Premier league is by far the best in the world.
Besides that Olymiakos was the better team over the 2 legs won the tie 6-2 and there is nothing to argue about that.....
Further more what wins games is goals and not possession ......
The Greek site played with a very specific game plane and allowed Villa to have the ball but as we saw in the second leg more than the first the could do nothing with that

Olympiakos finished third in their Europa League group and were given a second chance to compete, as was co-finalist Fiorentina. Villa were completing against a Europa League team. They are in those competitions year after year, Villa were in their first in 13 years. In the group stages Villa had many shaky moments, due to it being their first time in the competition. They fought through and made it to the semis. That's credit to them. Experience? Pep failed in quarterfinals, Arteta failed in quarterfinals, Klopp failed in quarterfinals, Moyes failed in quarterfinals. All that experience and they still lost. As the saying goes, "Past performance is no guarantee of future results." We reset. We go again in Europe next season. Up the Villa.

As an ympiacos fan I will say that as a fan of football the mistake that Aston Villa did is that underestimate Olympiacos, which will be in a certain degree total acceptable but when everyone underestimate their opponent is a crave mistake. We can't take all the Villa achieved and had in their season. About tiredness my team still play even some weeks before the first matches to enet Europa league or Champions league or conference. Aston Villa next year would be in Champions League.

Martin Keown talks sense unlike the other two clowns. Villa were lucky to get past Lille in the quarters. Just because a more experienced West Ham won the ECL last year, doesn’t mean Villa are a failure for not winning it. The lack of respect for European teams is laughable. Are not Olympiakos in Europe most seasons too?

I don’t think the Premier League isn’t as good as we think. Villa will get crushed in the Champions League based off what I have seen and i am scared for them next year. English fans are so arrogant when it comes to English clubs and the national teams, i think it rubs off on the players and it gives foreign teams a boost. A few foreign players have said the English arrogance gives them more motivation

PL is still the best league in the world. When Serie A was the best in the 1990s, they didn't win every Champins league, or cup winners cup or UEFA Cup. but thy still had the best players and most money. Real Madrid and Barca only won many CLs in the 2010s due to Messi and Ronaldo, and the PL then was richer and had as good players overall. Olympiakos are in Europe every year, like Celtic or Rangers, as they're the biggest clubs in a weak league. What is experience then?

Villa have been running on fumes the past few months. Absolutely devastated with long term injuries to key players, vital to the system.
    Credit where it's due.
The only disappointment I had with the second leg (the first was a write off bearing in mind the good performance from Olympiakos' midfield and striker, and the atrocious performance of the ref, and a miserable day for Luiz), was the fact that second half we didn't look anywhere close to scoring. First half, I thought we were in with a good chance even at a goal down, and that we'd turn the screw second half. But it went backwards.
By the way, fans wax lyrical about Tim Iroegbunam, but he was a lost puppy out there

As an Aston Villa fan, and one from the United States, I have the luxury of not being steep in Premier league culture such that I see it as some type of end all be all in the football world.
On any given night, any team can be any team in the world. Olympian did their job in Birmingham.
Additionally, Olympian is a good side that has had a good season in their domestic league.
Furthermore, Olympian took full advantage of the time to rest and prepare. We were dead on our feet and still put in a decent effort, though not enough to move forward.
It’s not a huge disappointment. Would we have liked to win the silverware, absolutely. But as Emery said, we move on quickly and focus on securing fourth place and a champions league spot.
We’ve already secured an opportunity to play in Europe again next season.
It’s hard to be disappointed when we’ve gone from 17th, to seventh, to fourth; at the very least fifth. Significant improvement, Ownership backing a Top manager, and players developing is a beautiful thing.

Am a villa fan this torment was never going too be , villa have top 4 spot and stand challenging for that spot West ham gambled all there eggs in too conference league and was close too relegation.
Media like talk dnt talk about villa injuries own manager don't excuses for our injuries norh dose the fan base yet all other clubs do.
There been two questionable descions that emery has made that's backfired with our injury list and fatigue. Chelsea first round should of played more youth players given first team a rest and this one should given youth and those possible leaving a game too try pursasde the club too keep them. This is villa first time in ages and energy emotional would have got too them. Yes Olympicos may not won anything yet they have quilfied for this type thing more recently then villa and more often. So there club know what it takes.
Villa need a clear out of players and hope we able too have better players for subs or any injuries.
We lost mings buedia right beginning and near end of transfer window. Kamara that important we lost too. Ramsey too so many others. We hardly spent compared too other teams.
Villa issue like many is FFP our current wage bill is 90million meaning the entire tv revenue is spent on wages. This has double since new owners.
There should be a blanket top rate wage for players and also on transfers. Both of them would help keep clubs stable. U have a tire system of players. If player dose well then transfer fee is higher and wages. If player is bad his value decrease and so would expected salary. Wages and transfer fees killing the game. For my idea too work all clubs and league champions league eufea and conference would need too agree.
Any club in debit carnt make transfers unless debit paid off.
Owner can use own money for transfers tho wages must fall into being covered by club income in generates. I have many more ideas and so easy.

This really puts into perspective how pundits view teams. It doesn’t matter that Villa are on their knees, context isn’t important, it’s all about a name vs another name, Squad vs Squad.
Olympiacos were great, give them their flowers. Also, as a professional, understand the context before you speak. Villa are top 4 in a league that couldn’t care less about the conference league and continues to pile on. That’s fair, that’s why there’s the money on offer, Sky want the fixtures.
Understand the gateway to entry to European football, I bet he does if Palace ever attempt it.
