When I was a little girl I wore the wheel off two stick horses. My first horse was a palomino but couldn't name a mare Trigger. Never missed the Roy Rogers show. In fact I still watch it some on my DISH satellite on the stations that show the old programs. These were people to be admired not what some of the kids today have to choose from.
When I was a little girl and couldn't tell time yet, I could tell when it was 3:00 on Sunday afternoons, so I wouldn't miss Roy and Dale. They were my first star crushes.
This video of the Pioneers is when I knew them all. When they came to Arizona, I was their mascot! I did set up one interview with Bill Leverton and Roy during a Best Western convention out at Rawhide. This looks right, but Bill interviewed Roy without Dale and I sat between them holding the mic. I do have a couple pics of Roy and me from that night. I was in hog heaven.
Well Kathleen, that was a long time ago, but I do remember you being involved. I have the memory that I wouldn't have had that interview if not for you. So, credit where credit is due! And credit for a long friendship!

I put a rope halter and reins on my Dad's wooden saw horses and rode with Roy too!
