MG Hutmacher signed my Green to Gold packet so I could become an Army Officer when he was the 160th Commander and I was an NCO in the unit. But more than him signing it, he took a personal interest in ensuring my packet was signed and routed appropriately and approved. The NCO side of the house was running interference on my packet and trying to nix it and through an Officer mentor of mine word got up to him and so he called me into his office and straight up said your packet will get approved and I'll endorse it personally, and he did. I'm still an Officer and still serving. Thanks Sir! NSDQ!

I got discharged on processing day 4 of navy bootcamp for “fraudulent enlistment” as a direct result of listening to my recruiter when he told me “just say no about that part” regarding one box on my medical questionnaire while I was sitting across from him at his desk.
I had already told him about the previous medical situation, and had even brought him medical/prescription records for it. He told me that they “had lost some of my paperwork.”
Discharge date was 10 years ago in September, and I’m still bitter about it.
That “fraudulent enlistment” DD214 is attached to my SSN for the rest of my life.

Black Rifle’s commitment to injured vets & their families is REAL! This video is the main reason I choose them over all the other coffee companies; just placed an order 15 minutes ago! 🇺🇸 💪

Wish we had more leaders like this. What an unbelievable person and leader! Wonderful interview. And if I could hug one group of folks on the planet it would be the members of the 160th. NSDQ, you crazy bastards! Love you all.

Really glad to hear Mike Day’s and many other families are being taken care of. Heard him on Jocko Podcast and made me believe superheroes were real. Real tragic story but at least there’s some sort silver lining to it. The Devil is working overtime for sure.

My friend served 21 years in Oregon National Guard First Sergeant, he just went through the medical retirement process and then went through total and permanent review. He had me write a letter stating how he’s changed from high school to now. He did 3 deployments, 2 Iraq and 1 Afghanistan. After several months of waiting he was recently given 100% total and permanent disability.

I think it’s a misnomer to tell people to do what they are passionate about because a lot of folks simply do not yet know what they are passionate about without going through a few dispassionate experiences.

I saw where he supported Zach ischol in a New York election. He is a combat vet and if one vet helps another that should be his business imo.

Talking about vets committing suicide and then next talking about not caring about people what people do with their bodies when it comes to gender…is it not the same thing in essence? Are suicidal vets not making a decision with their bodies? Why are you not okay with it them? You should want people to get the mental health care they need so they dont screw up their life, in both cases. This sentiment we always hear about “idk what you do with your body or your life” is what leads to the downfall of our society and makes people feel disconnected. Do you apply that sentiment to your vet friends?
