Ron, if I may: Bowmasters can crowdcontrol the Toughness 1 creatures easily, taking Joes Birds, Elves and the Sentinel. This would have slowed him down immensely and could massively increased your chance of winning. #justmy2koku
I kind of forgot about the 1 drop creatures on his board at that point, plus I made a deal with him for 3 turns. It’s ok. I’m consistently a friendly player, not a competitive one.
Oh also, LOTR had JUST come out so bowmasters was a card I wasn’t super familiar with yet.
This is why I don't like Commander Politics. People are easily persuaded. Still, I love both Ron and Joe, just don't like seeing that happening
@@jaydub5515 it’s all in fun and part of the game! I could have said no. Instead I talked it down. Overall, I don’t regret the decision or feel the game went poorly because of it. I watched back this whole game laughing. It was a fun time then and still a fun game to watch back for me.
@@jaydub5515 to each their own for sure! My playgroups ALWAYS politic and table talk. Probably because we are all actors so when we sit in a pod of people who don’t we sometimes overwhelm the table with our words but everyone has their own style. We had a great time! 🥳

If only you had leaned on Ron a little more, Bowmaster could have been used to help. Joe worked that Bowmaster deal right into his hand. Life is a resource, and pinging one damage to a player each time was pointless... Esper should have been killed right away....

As a heads up Armix requires you to discard a card to use its ability. That would also have provided a great way to dump filth in the graveyard allowing Ron to swing freely at Joe.

I have two commander decks, well three if you count the Breya deck I’m building, and I’ve yet to ever play in person. I play against myself, sad I know, but it’s great practice. I love your videos because everyone seems to be having so much fun no matter what the vibe is. I hate using the word vibe but it is what it is; especially when y’all are outside and just feeing it. Came back from the clutch three times on MTG Arena lol, once 1 life vs 24 life opponent (Best game ever BTW) ... , another had 9 poison counters, barely won, and the last 1 life and dude quit at 7 life lol. got pics to show... never give up folks! I Hate that he died before I could play him in a game. Thank You Shelden Menery for bringing us commander.

My attraction deck is myra take as many extra turns as possible. Also for anyone in the comments, roll to visit attractions happens during the beginning of your first main phase. Even before you can play a land, untap, upkeep, draw, roll to visit attraction, continue with your turn.
What a game, politics were on point as the amount of carnage Ron could have wreaked on all those 1 toughness creatures

Dang, there was a way for Ron to take out Joe (if she discarded the filth when Armix attacked) it would have given her creatures swampwalk and she could've KO'd him with the Orc Army. Alas, it was still a GG. Always love these episodes and as a Yusri player myself, I've been in GirlDickEnergy's shoes many-of-times.

Don't think it would have mattered too much but Joe's Sol Ring should have come in play tapped and he wouldn't be able to use it the turn he casted Craterhoof. Missed the Manglehorn trigger.

Yeah I didn't think it'd change much but I still noticed it. I was super hopeful that Anomolee's bluff at the end was actually a channeled Otawara to bounce something to prevent lethal. @@TabletopJocks

The first Bowmaster trigger pops that Esper IMMEDIATELY...there is no other game move that makes any bit of sense, and you proceed to keep pinging 1 toughness dorks and then move onto players. This isn't even good politics, it's just taking advantage of players whose threat assessment is non-existent 😆
Next time you happen to be in a game with Joe, you can do it your way, then!
@@8nykspree ppl also fail to understand this was filmed June 24. LOTR came out June 23. I didn’t have any experience with the card or how it should be used. I was also playing an upgraded version of the deck I had never played before. Also, these are friendly games for fun. It was fun to make the deal with Joe. It was fun to ping ppl for their draws. I’m never a person who shoots to be the most aggressive at the table. It’s not my style. You play your way and I play mine. There’s no right or wrong way to play the cards. It was a good game either way. I’m happy with the showing.

Why is it so commonplace in commander for people to pretend to not be a threat and/or give bad advice to their friends in the interest of self-preservation? When your friend corrrectly asseses the threat, it's not funny or charming to gaslight them. Let's lift each other up, have fun, and become better players together!
Have you never played politics in commander? It’s not gaslighting it’s a strategy. This is also for entertainment. It’s a show. And we are definitely having fun.
Politics make the game more fun. Making deals is all part of 4 wizards in a battle.
