If you've been following my Trainz forum thread you have seen a lot of detailing updates recently.
This is just a short vid following 3 CSX SD40-2s pulling a TOFC train.
Beginning to think I am running out of space to add things to.
You can download the prev version off my forum thread, still deciding if this update will be made available...might need to add a little more,,,,
Made in TANE for TANE, this is a highly detailed Proto Operational Fictional layout with custom reskinned signs, buildings and vehicles, Sound FX, TRC crossings , ATLS advanced approach warning signs, animated vehicles and now I have added more scenes and a lot more graffiti...
When I first looked at it, I thought it was an actual model train layout, very nice
Thank you, compliments like yours keep me making the videos, look at my March update to this layout to see even more detailed areas !
It gets to a point where you might as well be working for "The Railroad". You're working the same operations now except you're not getting paid... you're investing time and big bucks LOL you have my respect. I would not have the patience for this. I'm not a Railroad modeler, I'm a Railroad model operator. That's grown up "speak" for... I play with my freaking trains. I run them, they don't run me Lol good stuff thanks for posting.
This layout was set up in mind for proto-operations as in mimicking a real railroad, enjoyment and satisfaction is payment enough, lol
Wow amazing virtual layout. Like the track plan, lots of switching to be done here. The scenery is excellent, especially the towns. Do you plan of building this as a layout or keeping it as a virtual layout only?
When I get the spare room needed, this will be an actual N gauge layout .
This looks and sounds really good! Did you decide to make a VR model of a physical model RR with the walkways and backdrop or was that part of the original Model Railroader track plan? You could just as easily leave those bits out and just fill the middle with more railroad or scenery etc to make it look real, right? And is there any reason not to get the latest Trainz software the Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019? There's no advantage to getting TANE except maybe for cost? Funny how the tree shadows fall on the tile floor and the software doesn't figure that the bench is blocking that light!
The layout was loosely based on mrr.trains.com/how-to/track-plan-database/2014/09/n-scale-csx-indianapolis-sub , same room design with a different track plan, no advantage over the 2019 version other than price and the graphics engine is really improved with the newer version, I am modifying a layout in that version and have some videos of it posted, The Modified Mann. The CSX layout was made in TANE and looks better since it was originally made for it. It would need a really big makeover to look good in the 2019 version.
Nice work. I love this route 👍👍
Thank you, I enjoy being able to update it as I have
Drone view - and fascinating. Love the big industries. Trees lining the very edge of the layout balance out the scenes - give them great symmetry. Authentic rumbling of the engines, good train speed - not too fast and not nerve-wrackingly slow. I had fleetingly seen black CSX locomotives before. What does it mean? Is it a commemorative scheme? I subscribed.
I believe the Black Geeps are just locos from another railroad that were "black" to begin with, they are definitely not Heritage units. I will be posting another video probably over the weekend showing lots more details I added since this when this one was released...…..lumber yards, custom car shop, propane facility and the Touchstar Warehouse have been overhauled with details. really looking good
They should be from NS
Looking at the forum thread. I see all the google drive links for your Black Sub content are dead?
Unfortunately I had a hard drive crash with the files on it but you can post in the forum thread for the layout to see if someone can get you the missing assets.
TFW you notice the scenery and trains casting shadows on the floor but the benchwork doesn't :D
Its the program....
I love your trainz
In the corners where the fascia is how did you get them round? I can only base mine off of the grid squares when I use the digholes to make them invisible. Is there a video? Or could you make one? Thanks. Great route.
The benchwork was made by Euromodeller for me, check the Trainz Model Railroad forum
@@railhead001trainzrantz2 Thanks
Wow you have a PERFECT layout!! Lol I love it...how long did it take you to "build" it??
The first version was took only about a month or so, just been updating it ever since....if you own Trainz (TANE edition) you can download the majority of what you see and follow my forum thread that shows the updates I have been adding...I should be releasing another updated version shortly
The layout was made in TANE with the idea for Prototypical operations on a fictional CSX Subdivision and contains interdependent industries for Oranges (orange groves, a Tropicana plant with separate corn syrup unloading facility), Cargill Food processing plant with separate corn syrup loading area, multiple warehouses and produce warehouses, Petro and propane facilities and storage tanks, lumber yards, a custom car builder, 3 grain elevators, main yard and 2 MOW yards....along with a super detailed multi leveled town. I also included functioning TRC crossings and ATLS advanced warning devices.
(Forgot to mention that I added sound FX and radio chatter as well)
Wow, that is amazing!
Thanks, an update will be arriving shortly and I added much much more detailing !!!!
I love love love this layout. Any idea what the actual size of it would be if you built this in O scale?????
I believe this is a standard 10x12 room and the gauge is HO, so probably doubled ?
@@railhead001trainzrantz2 yep it would be double . Wow, it seems so much bigger. Really nicely done, man. Thanks for the reply
@@pabassfisherman It may well be bigger, need to see if I can find the original specs for the layout, it was started in August of last year and I believe the 1st version came out about a month later,,,actually the original room dimensions are 9'6" by 13' for N scale not HO so O scale would 3x the original ...HUGE
And here is a link that shows the original track plan I used as a basis for my virtual layout: mrr.trains.com/how-to/track-plan-database/2014/09/n-scale-csx-indianapolis-sub
@@railhead001trainzrantz2 OK yep, that makes sense. 👍
Wow this is amazing I would love to learn about this program.

I did not know this was a computer real good
I like it!
My goal is to make a virtual MRR, I am glad you and others like it
how to building a model HO Scale railroad
Is this a computer IAM looking at
It is.
@@railhead001trainzrantz2 bad ass cool
cool
I made even more updates since this vid was released...can't stop
Great. What software is this created from and what computer are you running it from?
This layout was made using Trainz A New Era (TANE) edition) they also released a newer version called Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019 (TRS2019).
My PC Spec are: I7-7700@4.2 Ghz, 16GB Ram and an RTX-2080 GeForce Card, Trainz settings are maxed out except for shadows and running in 2560x1440 resolution
It's like Train simulator in Ho scale
That was my intention
is this possible to download?
Yes it is off the Trainz site but you will need to also check my forum thread on it to locate assets. I no longer have that version installed and do not have the layout anymore but you can reach put to others in the forum to supply you with any missing kuids
@@railhead001trainzrantz2 Okay cool, thanks a bunch! Im assuming its in the description (not pinned comment like I said)
@@abritwholikestea yeah, search for csx black creek sub on the forum
@@railhead001trainzrantz2 Okay, will do. Thanks
send me a PM if your interested in my Modified Mann Phrom Larmee, its on the forum as well but not on the DLS, I can email it though
Nice layout when I get my house can I call you
It’s 2 long 1 short 1 long for crossing.
I know that but this was just a test run not an actual operation : )
