I love how Ocelot's ending almost mirrors the Bosses. Ocelot, the son of The Boss, sacrificing his life at the hands of Solid Snake, the son of Big Boss. Its a full circle.

I will see what's up with Death Stranding but I do not think it will be as great as Metal Gear, as metal gear was integrated within me ever since I was 7. I just can't imagine telling my kid about Death Stranding like my dad told me about Metal Gear. But since there is never gonna be a new metal Gear, I might as well just try out Death Stranding and see if I have the interest to pass it on to my children like my dad did, but what I can assure you is that I will pass on all my metal gear games to my kids.

I might sound like I am joking but this is honestly the main character of the metal gear solid franchise. Not only is he the only one to achieve his goal he is also the most interesting and most fun and engaging character in the whole franchise.

After losing his father at youth and losing his mother(The Boss) at Grojzni Grad he may have found an older brother in Big Boss as he was mentored by his mother and offered him advice in turn despite being enemies.
Ocelot was taken from The Boss when he was 2 years old. It's never suggested that he knows who his parents are, which makes the fact that he's the true hero and successor to The Boss' will all the more beautiful.

Jack Fry the cutscenes are super over the top, so its impossible to take anything seriously. also they added first person shooting, which made a big portion of the game way too easy
So, he was a guy that joined the original Patriots but left with Big Boss. Except he didn't he was spying on Big Boss for Zero the whole time. Except he was secretly loyal to Big Boss and was a double agent. Later he helped Liquid in an incident to screw the patriots but was secretly still part of the patriots. But actually he was working with Solidus who manipulated Liquid to screw the patriots but actually Ocelot was manipulating Solidus. Ocelot was really working for the Patriots the whole time. See, he actually was plotting to end the Patriots AIs so he had to go six level of contrivances to go past the AI computing capacity so that he could manipulate/guide the clone of his best friend in helping him ending the Patriots by being an antagonist towards Solid Snake and by trying to kill him the whole time. It makes perfect sense!

Ocelot was the real hero out the metal gear story, trying to save the world from the Patriots control. Solid Snake was always a pawn of the Patriots, he never knew what he was doing until the Patriots decided to tell him.
Big Boss sold the world to realize his dream. Ocelot cheated the enemies, the allies, the world and even himself, just to get Big Boss back. "Till we meet again." But they didn't meet at last. Big Boss never knew how much Ocelot sacrificed to bring him back.

Ocelot was the real hero out the metal gear story, trying to save the world from the Patriots control. Solid Snake was always a pawn of the Patriots, he never knew what he was doing until the Patriots decided to tell him.

I feel like big boss story is similar to anakin skywalker story ya know the real big boss is legendary but goes into hiding like darth vaders true feeling due to the change of time and the changes of the mind and thoughts and mgs3 to mgs5 is like the pre-Squel to the rest of the mgs games and you can tell because the atmosphere makes it feel like it takes place before mgs4 and mgs1 and slowly as the big wheel turns in the end we truly see big boss and darth vader show there real feelings knowing that they it'll be there last to say and show what they before they disappear
Big boss just saying ''cats, do love to play snakes'' is quite touching, considering he knows what ocelot did for him despite not being there.
