Heads up, if you want to preserve the pants, buy some glossy mod podge. Water it down slightly and paint a lawyer or two on top of the pants. This acts as a sealant and will prevent it from peeling. I did that with mine years ago and it’s still perfect.

@@dontcallmedoll actually, if you use the matte mod podge on a dolls face, it can see all the paint. I only paint it over the painted places. That way there’s less of a chance of the factory face paint coming off as well. I love you 2009 era Barbie, so I tried to reserve them as best I can. As for glue seepage, the OxiClean method works as well. You just boil some water like you are doing a boil wash, pour the water into a bowl or plastic container, and pour three full scoops of the Oxsee clean powder. Then you put the heads in. Completely submerged them in the water. It will start boiling and bubbling like someone’s science project. Don’t worry that’s normal. And stir it around. And let it soak for one hour. If you only put the head in there, detached from the body, it will fully get rid of the glue seepage completely.
@@dontcallmedoll I tried it with a bunch of 2009 Barbies that my friend gave me Cuz hair was so drenched in glue seepage that the hair wouldn’t move. But the OxiClean method took it away. And the glue never came back.

Yes, with Saran or Nylon hair it's not as necessary but with kanekalon when it's still hot, it will instantly deform while brushing. 😄 Thank you for watching ☺️💖

I love the outfit and how you thought to put it together :) I also think about the contrast between horrific scenes in the news and the sadness in general in the world then think about my doll world ... and am actually really grateful I have this love of dolls ..it helps. ..but I think when like my family comes over I feel like they think im weird or childish. They don't act like it but I think inside they might be thinking something. I have always been the odd artist type in the family so nothing new.
damn kinda same here Ik ppl still think it's weird but yeah we shouldn't care since as you said it helps as a coping mechanism for all of the negative things in life among other things making this hobby so great I hope you and everyone can be safe and feel appreciated in a community of collectors

I can't ID her either. I have the tv cooking show Barbie who looks similar but she has bendy legs. I feel like she's either a career doll or one that came with a playset. I have an older career pilot with a similar faceup but she doesn't have the elbow joints.

She is very similar to a scooter Barbie I have. She was thrifted and gifted to me damaged because she had clothes on. Lighter hair on mine. I turned her into Weird Barbie since her hair and face were stained anyway! Nice job sir! 💗
