This was another nice discussion on Tech Tuesday. You and Chuck both have every right to toot your horns. You earn peoples' trust by being honest and doing things the right way. People respect that and it is hard to find in the car business. You know your product and are able to teach people in the process. The Halloween rides were very interesting and unusual. Good job.
As a commissioned salesperson before retiring, I totally understand and feel your pain and hopefully your potential customers are listening. 🤞

Rick, it sounds very repetitive, as it seems I always start my comments with another great Tech Tuesday!!! You and Chuck are my go-to people for anything Corvette. I wish I wasn't 2,000 miles away as Chuck would be the caretaker for my C8, so much confidence in his knowledge and experience. I can't say that about many technicians or Service Advisors at dealerships. Rick, your passion and customer service, as Chuck said, is superior. Love your blog and appreciate all you both provide to the Corvette community

I can confirm about those tires on the 2014 run flats were bad -world of difference when i went to a goodyear all season never could get a quick launch with the run flats best was about 5.5 sec to 60 should be like 4.0 seconds

Just wondering why you would drive or ship your Corvette over 1000 miles from Texas to Ohio for service work?
Well it will be driven, and I trust Chuck more than any Chevrolet Service Center in Texas, with my past experience with them. Plus, it will be a nice drive, since we will be staying on our Family Farms in Kentucky for the week.
@@timothywood1339Okay! Kentucky to Ohio makes quite a bit more sense than strictly Texas to Ohio. Safe driving!
And I want to bring my 17 ZO6 there as well. That is why I dont like to take my car too just anyone. some service mgrs dont know much about corvettes , I know this for a fact after I asked about the mag ride update back in 2019.
Us car guys are always about 16 years old, even if we are 70!

Important Correction.
Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 *_Plus_* is the optimal all-season, ultra-high performance tire.
Without the _Plus_ moniker, they are nothing more than a basic tire you would find on a fleet vehicle or what not. HUGE difference between the two options if you omit the PLUS.

I bought a 2015 C7 Z06 Z07 Convertible GM Buy Back with 3,000 miles. My dealer thought the Cup2 tires were worn out and replaced them. The sad part of the story is that I traded it for a New 2017 C7 Grand Sport. Found out a month later that Z06 was 1 of 1! Ouch! Only 2016 Z06 Z07 Convertible in Blade Silver with blue interior.

This is quite ridiculous, rick. While saying you can't speculate, you say you WANT to but you can't, and then you go on to speculate. What is it with you? You also said before it would be a 5.5l flat plane crank TT engine and now you're going back on that? You're no better than the other channels you're trying to condem. SMDH
