I am Canadian and I approve this content 😂. I so appreciate that you live in the real world and dress accordingly. Always impeccably stylish with an emphasis on quality, but also practical and eminently wearable. I’ll also say that I relented (against my better judgement) and bought my daughter a pair of UGG’s as they are all the rage again this year and she was begggggging me. I sprayed the ever living snot out of them with protectant spray and I’m kinda amazed at how well they’ve been holding up. I think the protectant sprays have come a long way since I wore UGG’s when I was in college. We haven’t had much but a dusting of snow so far but it’s been wet. She’s not sloshing around in puddles in them, but they are holding up like new so far. I insisted on actual winter boots for when the muck comes but in the meantime …. Douse them in protectant and wipe them down IMMEDIATELY and pop them over a vent or set them by the stove to dry them out as soon as possible and they aren’t going to disintegrate into a yucky lump. Also, I’m going to repeat myself for the umpteenth time and proclaim the virtues of those lambswool insoles. My GOD what a gift to humanity they are 😂. My feet are never cold anymore. Thank the maker.
The weather there is similar to where I live, on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Your suggestions work great here. 😊I would add gunboats or as you folks say, wellies, for going out into the garden and digging up potatoes, etc.
You are by far my favorite. SO practical and real. Like you I work at home and your style is stunning and also useful. Thank you for bein exactly who you are...not pretentious!
Kitten-heeled sock boots worked well for me last festive season and through all dressy winter-early spring-late autumn occasions. The rest of my collection looks like yours. Great selection!👍👏
Thank you. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm 72 years and I find your curation to be so relevant and classic for any age. Regarding today's video.....I love my La Canadienne boots! They're an investment but luckily I was able to buy two pairs almost a decade ago when a store was going out of business. One pair is black suede chelsea with a high narrow shaft and slight wedge sole that similar to the Fit Flop sole. The other is black suede/shearling mid calf that can be turned down to form a cuff. This year, my very inexpensive daily sneaker boots are Easy Spirit - quilted fabric upper and thermal lined. I tried several Sorel but found these to be more comfortable for me, and they zip up the front! And then of course, I have my old saddle leather Frye boots for forever. I'm thinking of looking at the Vivaia line for a tall dress boot to replace my tall Born riding boots. I find anything Born to be so comforable for me. Thanks for getting us all thinking and commenting about this.
Best regards from Ukraine. I have been watching your channel for several years, I always look forward to new releases. Interesting, meaningful, stylish videos. Many useful ideas that I take into my wardrobe. Inspiration to you and peace)
Thank you, Emma. I like the look of those Sorel boots. It’s very icy and slippery here in Scotland. Talking of colourful trainers, I’ve just ordered some purple Rieker ones. I’ve several of this particular style and they’re the most comfortable things I’ve ever put on my feet.
As a teacher (ie outdoor duty is a thing) in Canada, my snow boots are Sorel. And I also do have a pair of Reiker (with lining) as my nicer boots. I have an (almost) 20 year old pair of Uggs. Not practical to purchase or in the wet weather, but oh so comfortable.
I have a pair of the classic 6” premium boots in black that I bought for a Canada trip years ago but they were really uncomfortable so now I just use them as diy/work boots. I definitely wouldn’t buy another pair, they’re too hard and not comfortable for me at all x
I arrived at the point where I pause the video as soon as you name a boot and go buy it immediately 😂. Now I’ve only did that because I saw your sorel boots in another speechless video about a day in the countryside I believe and liked them a lot. So glad they are affordable!! And even more glad I learned about them from you! ❤
Hi Emma, practical and comfortable footwear are my main criteria. I am also at an age (63) where I want to have comfortable shoes that look nice. Walking has become a major part of my life and being able to find comfortable footwear is a must. Can I ask you whether you found the burgundy suede trainers to fit normally or did you size up or down? They look really good and would be perfect to add to my wardrobe. Thank you 😊
As I'm a half size I sized up to the nearest whole size so that I can wear thicker socks in Winter. I'd say they're true to size if your a whole size but if they are for winter you may want to size up for adding thermal/sheepskin insoles &/or thermal socks x
Oh 100%, I switch between my boots and wellies depending on how much rain we have had and therefore how muddy it is 👍 This was more of a hypothetical capsule of essentials, and not everyone would need wellies ❤️
Hi Emma, any chance you do a video on winter accessories and scarves? I’m so lost on what material and where to buy. I looked at some in person at H&M and Zara but they look like they’ll fall apart in 1 day, I want something that will last and am willing to go higher up the street 😂
Hi Emma, I live in boots and trainers all winter too! White trainers look great but do they not get really dirty? I tend to just keep mine for spring + summer.
They can do although I am selective as to where I wear mine (obviously I don't go hiking through a muddy field in them 😆) but usually a quick wipe after being out, if they have any grime on them, is enough to keep them looking fresh ❤️
Hi Emma. I love your content. 👌 Just wanted to let you know, as a French speaking girl from Québec, the prononciation of "Sorel" is the second one you said ;)
There isn't a dedicated video out there but I have started uploading winter content onto the channel (reviews and outfit inspo etc) with more to come 👍
Hello Emma, I really liked tse video. As always, very helpful. One question: could you please tell me if the burgundy sneakers from Stradivarius are confortable? Thank you in advance
I find them really comfortable but this will obviously vary depending on foot shape 👍 If you have a local store they are definitely worth a try if you like the style of them.
@@EmmaHill Thanks for getting back to me! I’ve got the Adidas Spezial in blue, and they’re super comfy. If the Stradivarius ones are just as comfy, I’d be thrilled!
😢Hallo liebe Emma, das ist eine gute Idee stiefel eine halbe Nummer größer zu kaufen.ich ziehe auch meine Turnschuhe sommer wie winter an .liebe grüße aus der Weihnachtsstadt Nürnberg
How do you find the fit of the Sorel boots? Narrow, medium, wide? Very much agree with your options, but personally I would skip the white trainer in winter due to rain, snow and sludge. I don't have all the mentioned options (yet) but very much on the lookout for a kneehigh boot with a small heel for a smarter option.

Yes! Finally!! boots!!! Thank you sooo much! Have you tried Timberland boots?
I have a pair of the classic 6” premium boots in black that I bought for a Canada trip years ago but they were really uncomfortable so now I just use them as diy/work boots. I definitely wouldn’t buy another pair, they’re too hard and not comfortable for me at all x
This was quite helpful and I have the same pair of Sorel winter boots. I’ve had it for 3 years and still holding up well!
Morning Emma 🌄 interesting to see how you've styled your white trainers. I usually put mine away for the winter. Thank you for your videos ❤
Thank you for watching ❤️
I like Sorel boots as well. I even have a pair of sneakers by them. I do find that they fit small on me so I always go up a half size.
Emma this is a great, concise video ❤ Can you do another shoes video in the summer or spring? 😊
I can indeed x
Perfect timing. I’ve been thinking about winter footwear lately.
For a winter sneaker/ trainer I like Allbirds! They have styles in wool and some are even waterproof.
I arrived at the point where I pause the video as soon as you name a boot and go buy it immediately 😂. I hope you love them ❤️
@ they’ve arrived yesterday and are very cosy 🥰 need to test them outside yet
Great video Emma! 😊
thak you for this video...would love to see a video on how you style your Legres boots...I am having trouble styling them:>
I only wear ankle boots in winter. I have quite a lot of pairs and switch them every day.
Love them all ❤
Thank you ❤️
Looking for my forever pair of boots at the minute so thank you for options!
Good luck & hope you find them 👍
Those burgundy trainers are the first suedes that tempt me. I’ll try Stradivarius in Dublin though the site is UK. Thanks!
So much knowledge thank you for sharing x
Thank you for watching ❤️
I have the Sorel snow boots in khaki, had them years and they’re great. Highly recommend!
Thank you for sharing ❤️
On my to do tomorrow, dig out the winter footwear perfect timing. Reluctantly I have to realise winter weather is now in session 😂
😆

Morning…..any thoughts on wellies for dog walking on muddy paths? Love the Christmas decorations. I wish I had your vision.
Oh 100%, I switch between my boots and wellies depending on how much rain we have had and therefore how muddy it is 👍 This was more of a hypothetical capsule of essentials, and not everyone would need wellies ❤️
Hey Emma - Thank you for this. Please could you add Seection 6 (snow boots) in the info bar too if poss?
Sorry, don't know why that happened. I will add them now so they will be up in a few mins. 👍
Hi Emma, any chance you do a video on winter accessories and scarves? I’m so lost on what material and where to buy. I looked at some in person at H&M and Zara but they look like they’ll fall apart in 1 day, I want something that will last and am willing to go higher up the street 😂
I will try and fit something in, although I do include such pieces in my outfits videos, so keep an eye out for them ❤️
Thanks, love all your choices 😊
Thank you for watching ❤️

Thank you ❤️ I will probably have forgotten by the time I feature them next 😆🤦♀️
Great one Em! Could you maybe do similar video with outwear? Or maybe there is one out there?! x
There isn't a dedicated video out there but I have started uploading winter content onto the channel (reviews and outfit inspo etc) with more to come 👍
I saw them all 🤩 and I want more haha especially that you always show few outfit ideas 😍

Hi, did you go with your normal shoe size for the Zara knee high boots or did you size up or down? I would not be adding inserts to mine. Thanks! 🫶🏼☺️
I went for the nearest whole size up because I’m a half size x
@ Thank you!
Emma, which boots did you have that looked like uggs but more of the lug sole?
You can find them linked in the description box 👍
Helloooooooo 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 Great Selection.
Thank you ❤️
Hi Emma, Uggs are slippers and shouldn’t be worn outside. I had an Australian friend who gave me a pair in the Eighties 😊
39 - you don't look 39 you look younger!! What size shoe are you? Same, comfort all the way!
Thank you ❤️ Shoe size it depends on the style and the fit of the actual shoe but largely I am UK7.5 👍

I have very narrow feet and I have room so I’d say they’re standard fit x
*watchs the day after of purchasing the new balance 530*🫠
Great trainers, for me I think the mesh just makes them a little to breezey for cold weather 🥶
@ im counting on uniqlo heattech socks 🥲🤝🏻
❤❤❤
