I am Canadian and I approve this content 😂. I so appreciate that you live in the real world and dress accordingly. Always impeccably stylish with an emphasis on quality, but also practical and eminently wearable. I’ll also say that I relented (against my better judgement) and bought my daughter a pair of UGG’s as they are all the rage again this year and she was begggggging me. I sprayed the ever living snot out of them with protectant spray and I’m kinda amazed at how well they’ve been holding up. I think the protectant sprays have come a long way since I wore UGG’s when I was in college. We haven’t had much but a dusting of snow so far but it’s been wet. She’s not sloshing around in puddles in them, but they are holding up like new so far. I insisted on actual winter boots for when the muck comes but in the meantime …. Douse them in protectant and wipe them down IMMEDIATELY and pop them over a vent or set them by the stove to dry them out as soon as possible and they aren’t going to disintegrate into a yucky lump. Also, I’m going to repeat myself for the umpteenth time and proclaim the virtues of those lambswool insoles. My GOD what a gift to humanity they are 😂. My feet are never cold anymore. Thank the maker.
The weather there is similar to where I live, on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Your suggestions work great here. 😊I would add gunboats or as you folks say, wellies, for going out into the garden and digging up potatoes, etc.
Thank you. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm 72 years and I find your curation to be so relevant and classic for any age. Regarding today's video.....I love my La Canadienne boots! They're an investment but luckily I was able to buy two pairs almost a decade ago when a store was going out of business. One pair is black suede chelsea with a high narrow shaft and slight wedge sole that similar to the Fit Flop sole. The other is black suede/shearling mid calf that can be turned down to form a cuff. This year, my very inexpensive daily sneaker boots are Easy Spirit - quilted fabric upper and thermal lined. I tried several Sorel but found these to be more comfortable for me, and they zip up the front! And then of course, I have my old saddle leather Frye boots for forever. I'm thinking of looking at the Vivaia line for a tall dress boot to replace my tall Born riding boots. I find anything Born to be so comforable for me. Thanks for getting us all thinking and commenting about this.
Thank you, Emma. I like the look of those Sorel boots. It’s very icy and slippery here in Scotland. Talking of colourful trainers, I’ve just ordered some purple Rieker ones. I’ve several of this particular style and they’re the most comfortable things I’ve ever put on my feet.
As a teacher (ie outdoor duty is a thing) in Canada, my snow boots are Sorel. And I also do have a pair of Reiker (with lining) as my nicer boots. I have an (almost) 20 year old pair of Uggs. Not practical to purchase or in the wet weather, but oh so comfortable.
Hi Emma, any chance you do a video on winter accessories and scarves? I’m so lost on what material and where to buy. I looked at some in person at H&M and Zara but they look like they’ll fall apart in 1 day, I want something that will last and am willing to go higher up the street 😂
Oh 100%, I switch between my boots and wellies depending on how much rain we have had and therefore how muddy it is 👍 This was more of a hypothetical capsule of essentials, and not everyone would need wellies ❤️
Hello Emma, I really liked tse video. As always, very helpful. One question: could you please tell me if the burgundy sneakers from Stradivarius are confortable? Thank you in advance
There isn't a dedicated video out there but I have started uploading winter content onto the channel (reviews and outfit inspo etc) with more to come 👍
😢Hallo liebe Emma, das ist eine gute Idee stiefel eine halbe Nummer größer zu kaufen.ich ziehe auch meine Turnschuhe sommer wie winter an .liebe grüße aus der Weihnachtsstadt Nürnberg
How do you find the fit of the Sorel boots? Narrow, medium, wide? Very much agree with your options, but personally I would skip the white trainer in winter due to rain, snow and sludge. I don't have all the mentioned options (yet) but very much on the lookout for a kneehigh boot with a small heel for a smarter option.

For a winter sneaker/ trainer I like Allbirds! They have styles in wool and some are even waterproof.
I like Sorel boots as well. I even have a pair of sneakers by them. I do find that they fit small on me so I always go up a half size.
Morning Emma 🌄 interesting to see how you've styled your white trainers. I usually put mine away for the winter. Thank you for your videos ❤
Thank you for watching ❤️
This was quite helpful and I have the same pair of Sorel winter boots. I’ve had it for 3 years and still holding up well!
I have the Sorel snow boots in khaki, had them years and they’re great. Highly recommend!
Perfect timing. I’ve been thinking about winter footwear lately.
Great video Emma! 😊
I only wear ankle boots in winter. I have quite a lot of pairs and switch them every day.
On my to do tomorrow, dig out the winter footwear perfect timing. Reluctantly I have to realise winter weather is now in session 😂
😆

Hey Emma - Thank you for this. Please could you add Seection 6 (snow boots) in the info bar too if poss?
Sorry, don't know why that happened. I will add them now so they will be up in a few mins. 👍
Thanks, love all your choices 😊
Thank you for watching ❤️
Morning…..any thoughts on wellies for dog walking on muddy paths? Love the Christmas decorations. I wish I had your vision.

😢Hallo liebe Emma, das ist eine gute Idee stiefel eine halbe Nummer größer zu kaufen.ich ziehe auch meine Turnschuhe sommer wie winter an .liebe grüße aus der Weihnachtsstadt Nürnberg
Hi, did you go with your normal shoe size for the Zara knee high boots or did you size up or down? I would not be adding inserts to mine. Thanks! 🫶🏼☺️
I went for the nearest whole size up because I’m a half size x
@ Thank you!

No way are you 39!!!...Thought you were a kids LOL

I have very narrow feet and I have room so I’d say they’re standard fit x
