Pushpanjali, a Bharatanatyam invocation, to music composed by Madurai R Muralidharan, Ragam Jog, Adi Talam. Choreographed by Swathi Jaisankar, this Indian classical dance piece is an offering of flowers to the Lord of Dance Nataraja, to the Guru, and to the audience. Dancers Swathi Jaisankar, Aditi Sundararaman, Sharanya Swaminathan, Rachana Rao and Trupthi Panickor start the piece with flowers in their hands while the focus of movement is on their footwork. After the offering of flowers, they continue with fast paced Nritta, forming complex patterns to showcase the aesthetic beauty and movement patterns of Bharatanatyam.

Nice...but i think its not always nice to display teeth to smile....smile yes definitely but controlled!
Swathi's dance is so beautiful.. But I feel her smile looks like it was pasted on her face... That the only drawback of her dance.
it's not really that great! most of the dancers lack grace and precision in their movements, they are terribly uncoordinated, some even forget the choreography inbetween, and they are in dire need of a better choreographer, though it matches the rhythm, theres no real aesthetic sense to it, and it is not very much like a pushpanjali at all. constantly smiling isn't sufficient expression, and its not looking very professional or varied at all, super predictable. using hips in some movements isn't allowed, and not even original to bharthanatyam. this is a super frustrating and mediocre representation of the art!
to add, music isn't even original, neither did you provide credits on the musician, or any artists. it is sung by sri srikanth!
we are losing the art's aesthetic nature and sharing this, to modernize the art, to completely untrained choreographers! whil posing as professionals. young dancers will see this and imitate thinking it is art.
watch rukmini vijaykumar to see real innovation in art whilst holding the principles, with respect to the rules of it. that is real progress! this is completely ridiculous.
to see aesthetic, and coordinated group choreography you can watch sri devi nrithyalaya's troupes who radiate energy and hold down the principles of bharthanatyam with no disrespect
you can at least take younger girls who've mastered the principles and have greater dexterity in their body, but taking adults who are making mistakes isn't a good idea~
