I've had a 5 ton for about 8 years. The tires are crap, and 1 of the knobs busted off the bottom of the motor, but it still works well after all this time. Pretty impressive with what you pay for them. Mine is pretty beat up. I've also set it up on about 15" high blocks to help with bending, or just sit on a bucket. I only wish I had the foot pedal, which wasn't available at that time. Your finger or thumb will get sore after a couple hours using it, just from holding that button in, at least mine sure does. Also be careful it has enough power to send split wood flying, and injuries are possible.
The 6 Ton Yardworks model has "Foot Pedal" on-off operation (but some people complained that the Foot Pedal cable is too short). It is only about 10 LBS (pounds) heavier and also only about $100 to $150 CDN dollars more than the 4 Ton Yardworks model. >>The 6 Ton Yardworks model is the one I want to get soon.
There so caveman built. Idk why they must push the log for? The blade should push into the log. Giving it more power! Plus they need a 4 way splitting head
Let us know in a 3 minute video how your build for a stand to raise the splitter went, or if you bought the legs. That kneeling stuff is a totally idiotic design. And that safety switch is also an impediment.
Think you will find it's a 4 ton and a 7 ton splitter. Have you an email address, will send you photos of a switch I made up to make it so you only have to use one hand. Regards from N.Z
Got 9 ton one last weekend from CT. Excellent splitter.. Cord of dry larch fir mixed. I’m impressed so far.
Great review
I bought the same one works great and thanks for the vid👍

Is there a catch table for this splitter?
I built a sturdy table out of 2x6 and plywood... the top is 2 ft by 4ft. Makes a BIG difference having an elevated work space with the splitter!

Why brake your back lifting logs to set on it? I rather roll them on the Vertical log splitter. Lets push some logs threw the blade boys
