I work as a manager at a franchise store in Georgia . We are working towards getting kiosks but do not have them yet . Our weekends are crazy busy so having to take everyone’s order at the cash register , while also having to make everyone’s drinks and get them their refills can be challenging sometimes although we are able to make it work ! Interesting video for me , to learn what corporate stores have that we are still working towards getting .

Frankley I was surprised Steak N Shake ever was a sit down place where you ordered from a menu with a waiter/waitress taking your order. It was kind of weird for a casual fast food place.

I was an abide steak and shake customer and I would always ask the waitresses do people tip you they always say NO, ALWAYS and I would watch people not tip them. Funny now customers miss being served
Watching this while eating steak n shake lol. Right when I was like "damn why are there so many beans" you mentioned it 😂 Lately I've been getting canned steak n shake chili and just adding my own meat. Got to get my fix somehow.
Their prices went up too. And they used to have more items on the $4 menu like a triple burger & fries. Done going there, even tho I always liked their food. Also sucks too not to be served :/
lol, the triple on the 4 menu should have been removed wayy earlier! That was a lost leader! Since beef prices gone up. and offering free fries with no purchase was nice, I mean if you are going out of business then give us some free food!
They got rid of half of their damn menu they got rid of every salad, and all the coupons you used to get in the mail, and they got rid of my fav burger the jalapeno one god damn I'm upset ;( I went to one Saturday, and my god it was weird?
Looks like they got rid of their Frisco Melt. That was my favorite. Also don't have the Jamaican Jerk burger anymore which was what my dad and sister always ordered. Such a shame they've gone this way.
I love Steak 'n Shake and have been eating there for years. I know because of inflation and all that, that makes the prices go up but man it is pretty pricy compared to what it use to be. I wish they still served you real plates, cups, and silverware inside still. Food is still good. I am kind of disappointed to wait all this time to just see how it is. One of the things I liked was coming in and socializing with the waiters/waitresses and stuff. Now it is so non social. I miss the good old steak 'n shake. I do understand it was for money purposes but that's also what made it fun. Well guess I'll just be going through the drive through for now on whenever I decide to eat there.
Can you still request real Plates and Cups if you so desire! I hope so, because I don't desire another fast-food option. If I wanted that, I would go to Mc Donalds .
The shakes were never made with real ice cream, they use what's called "shake base", which actually wasn't very tasty on it's own, lol. I worked there for ten years in the 90's
I don’t think this would last I more Freddy’s is better now than steak and shake I don’t like the machine and they was rude when my dad went about ketchup and menu had changed and no way to sub in stuff there no option to fountain water. I think it would probably die out by Freddy’s.

i work at steak n shake in springfield mo, its franchised and the owner refuses to go to having no servers, we will see how long that lasts
We definitely prefer having servers but your location in Missouri may be one of the last to have that? Maybe we should come there!

Just went in today anyways now they give you frisco sauce on the side in pre packaged cups like bbq sauce at mcdonalds

The shakes here in Indianapolis seem different. Looks and taste like ice milk instead of cream. Not the quality they used to be.
The shakes were never made with real ice cream, they use what's called "shake base", which actually wasn't very tasty on it's own, lol. I worked there for ten years in the 90's
