The experts are always Rick's buddies. I wouldn't exactly trust them to give an unbiased opinion. Obviously they being Rick's buddies are going to want to get him a good deal. If I had an item to sell I would want an independent expert to verify the value.

This almost brought a tear to my eye. This game is very popular in Bangladesh, where I live. We called it "Bagadoli" and I played a lot with it when I was young 😭 Those did not have a plunger, so we played with marbles and a pencil.

As much as this show is scripted, the problem you are seeing is nothing but editing.. You are not hearing everything that was said during the entire transaction, it has been edited for time. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that so many people cannot figure out something so simple.

That had no value outside its provenance.
    It no longer provides amusement
It's unlikely to spark casual conversation
It's not visually appealing enough to flavor a collection room
It doesn't even have outsider art cachet.
Its only worth is to someone already devoted to the comprehensive history of parlor amusements. Maybe a museum or two as well.
Rick's spot on with this one. Tough sell. MoF, I thought his $350-375 offer was generous.
