I am a senior citizen and live in a house but I enjoy watching people who travel.
Thanks Janet!
Started with a pop up. One night alone with the kids, in the middle of torrential rain , under an oak tree (acorns!) I decided we needed a real camper! Went to 17’ to 24’ to 27’ as the kids grew. Currently in a 24’ empty nester toy hauler and we love it! With no plans beyond 3 days, smaller is easier to find camping spots.
Smaller is definitely easier to find space! We went from 37' to 45' and we didn't think it would be that big of a difference but it definitely has been. The living space is worth the hassle though for us since this is home.
We will likely buy a used one 3-4 years old.
We don’t RV and have no plans to. We just love your smiling faces! We love that you keep it real, not all rainbows and sunshine. You are not afraid to show and talk about the bad along with the good ( like the last episode showing updating your internet and goofing up the hole😂)
We're trying to keep it real! There are plenty of places to go see the Instagram-worthy stuff, we don't have the time or patience for that like most people I bet 🤣
My wife Brittany And our two kids are 3 months into our travels. We sold everything and hit the road from Canada. We bought a 2021 grand design reflection and a Ram 3500 and took off. I took 6 months off from work and we headed to souther US. Currently we are in Texas and I’m really not wanting to go home lol!
We'll keep you, go ahead and stay! 😍
Love cruising. We started in a tent trailer and moved to a travel trailer because I wanted a toilet. Plain and simple.
Having your own bedroom and bathroom everywhere you go is fantastic, isn't it? 🤣
We started by tent camping. That worked for years but eventually we decided setting up a tent in the dark after racing wasn't fun. So we ended up looking for a small DP that could pull the race car trailer. That led to a 1992 30' Rockwood Class A DP with no slides. We moved to our current rig when the repairs on that started to get too much (time and expense). We love our 2008 35' HR Neptune Class A DP.
We would definitely go on a Roadrunner cruise! We love cruising!
Yes we LOVE your smiling faces and experiences you share !!! Most of all, HONESTY is #1 .
Honesty is always #1! Absolutely!
We started out in with a tent when the kids were little and we were young then moved up to a pop up camper and then we got too busy for several years. A little over a year ago my wife and I decided to get another RV in preparation for retirement someday. After looking at everything on the market we realized what a great value that the class A's are in comparison. They are built so much more durable in that weight isn't a concern (50,000 lbs) and nearly as good MPG as a truck pulling a trailer but with so much more power even while towing a vehicle behind. We bought a 44" Holiday Rambler tag axle diesel pusher with 2 large slides and self contained. The only thing that we might do different is one with 4 slides instead of 2. Anyone planning on going full time RV living really owes it to themselves to at least look at a Class A diesel pusher before buying.
Love your channel and your transparency! Keep up the great work!
🙂👍🚌________
We started our couple camping travels with a two man pup tent on our honeymoon. Our first family tent was a dome tent for 3 littles and then a tent trailer when the 3 became 4 & they were all bigger. That lasted a couple of years. After the kids left home we got a small dome tent. When we were on our big trip across Canada & back through the States, we were at an Ohio rest stop for lunch & wanted to pressure hose the picnic table before putting a table cloth on it. That lunchtime conversation was us discussing what we wanted to camp in. A trailer that the bed stays set up, a table & a bathroom. That was our wish list! We looked at Pro-Lites (a Canadian RV manufacturer) as our CX-5 couldn’t pull more than 2000lbs total, then a few months later we adopted our huge puppy. I thought maybe a larger tent? So we got the larger tent but when fireworks went off at a campground the dog tried going through the tent wall. So, where are we now? Our pickup (with 5th wheel hitch) will be ready for pickup next week & next January we start seriously finding the fifth wheel we need in order to start full timing in April/May. So we’re going from a tent to a fifth wheel! We plan to travel around North America for a few years & come back to our house, sell the rig & then travel overseas every couple of years. Both exciting and nervous!
What a fabulous story! I love it!!! Do you have any ideas on which fifth wheel yet?
Yes your beautiful smiles and comforting voices is 1 reason I watch. Thank you for the Fabolous info.
Started with a 44’ fifth wheel. Moved to a 40’ entry level pusher with bunks, bought a 44b a few weeks ago! Love it.
44B crew!
We started in a $25 tent. After our first child upgraded to larger tent, second child to a pop up with AC!
After hail, and 2 solid days of rain now we are in a GD Imagine.
Now I want a class A! I also don’t want a truck, and it would be so fun to road trip in a class A!
My husband is proud to be a glamper 😂
Motorhome life is the best life! 😂 Do it!
Retired this year after many years of camping. Started out with a truck cap, then a truck camper, two tags, a fifth wheel, a tag, and now a diesel pusher. It is certainly a process. Happy you got your dream coach so early in life.
That's quite a stable! Wow!
Started with a really old pop-up we paid $1,000 for. That convinced us we liked camping. Moved up to a well loved hybrid. That's when we decided we want beds to be made and ready when we pull into camp with 2 kids. No folding out bunks, no messing with slides. Got a 2016 Springdale 260LE and we have 3 kids now and it's perfect! Small enough to force everyone outside, big enough that you can be inside if its raining. My F150 tows it no problem so no new truck needed!!
Always buy your first rig used and see what you like, just like you all did!
We camped with a pop up for 25 years.
With all 5 of our kids .
When my husband retired we bought a travel trailer, a hertiage glen RK, most important to us was having a bathroom.
Our next RV we would like to get would be an Alience 5th wheel 😊 , but if that doesn't happen we are very happy with our trailer,
Our first was a 93 trave trailer. We just kept improving, a tree fell on one of our RV's. So we now enjoy our 5th wheel. More space. Love RV life. We are weekenders for now.
Started in a 1991 hard sided popup in 2009, then to a 2013 Rockwood Highwall Pop up, then to a 2018 Rockwood Roo 19, then finally settled with our 2022 East to West Entrada 3100FB that we are currently in and love. Back in the popup days we enjoyed camping but hated the setup/takedown time. With the Roo is when we started traveling thousands of miles per camping season. We then realized we want to head out west to see this beautiful country and the Class C made the most sense for ease of traveling and setup/teardown. Not saying we are done upgrading units, but it will be a while until we go into the Class A territory.
You definitely understand the switch to motorhome! Motorhome life is RV easy mode 😍
Hello Kirk and April here and we are just about to start full time Rv ing. We bought a toy hauler and it took us awhile to buy the horse to pull the cart. A year later we booked a local camp site.We have two recumbent trikes thus then toy hauler. We ended up buying a new travel trailer because my wife said the kitchen was to small. The truck now hauls the trikes. We will be doing the western United States this year and eastern in 2024. Loved your post and really related to you two.
Thank you so much Kirk and April! Hopefully we'll see you on the road sometime!
Started with a 70s pickup camper, then a tent, then a new travel trailer, then a used popup, then a used travel trailer and now a beautiful used Montana Fifth wheel. Stages of Life 😊
Love it! 😍
Watching you on TV. Had to pull my phone out to comment. Our first RV was a well used pop-up! We loved the experience it offered us. My RV tech business started back then really. We sold it before a year was up. Bought a brand new 29’ travel trailer (Jayco 24 MBH - you saw at the Tampa RV show this past January-and thanks for letting us tag along with your group to get in). We LOVE our trailer BUT I’m already tired of the Murphy bed but I’m ok with keeping it until BOTH of us are ready. I understand your rig and lifestyle. ENJOY!
Hey Tony! Do you have your eye on any floorplans for an upgrade yet? Going to switch to a driveable? 😉
Finding your priorities and telling your money where to go are key to living a successful life! Great video again!
**also 100% a roadrunners cruise!
You're on the boat! 🤣
We started with a pop-up, then two different travel trailers, to a Class C, and now a Class A. I think we changed when our lives changed and our needs changed. Now kids are off in college and Wife and I love the Class A (new 2023) and we plan to travel a lot now. Sooner or later, have a home base and travel for months at a time. That is the goal! I think the main reason for change also is floorplan after living in the RV's for a while you realize what you thought you wanted you don't and what you don't think you needed, you want. :). Thanks for the videos and be safe.
Very true James! It's almost impossible to know what you want in an RV until you spend time using them.
We started with a 15 ft Monitor in the early 80's when it was just the 3 of us. We upgraded to a 21 ft Prowler when we became a family of 5 and then to a 24ft Shasta as our finances improved. Unfortunately in the 1990's, we had an accident on the Bluegrass Parkway near Bardstown, KY which totaled our Shasta and our Ford E350 Conversion Van we were towing it with. That experience kind of dampened our camping desires for several years. We finally decided to try again in the fall of 2019 when purchased a 2014 Jayco Precept 31 UL Class A Motorhome. We were just not comfortable towing again because of the accident. We love the convenience of the Class A and the ease of setup as we are now both in our early 70's. We enjoy your channel very much😊
Started with a Montana fifth wheel, and I loved it BUT... we just didn't use it, because we also have 2 farms and hubby doesn't love camping and being away on weekends. And, you can be FOR SURE I WAS NOT DRIVING a truck and pulling that thing! So,... I bought a 32 ft. Class C Winnebago and traveled all over and made my friend go with me. What I really loved was that I could take my girls (canines) with me, and not have to find a pet-friendly hotel, introduce them to a new scary environments routinely, etc. Then, with my Dad getting older and wanting to be able to spend more time with my adult children, my hubby, and my dad, I bought a 37 ft. Grand Design Travel Trailer and I park it for the summer on a lake near where we currently live. I enjoy it a lot, and it provides a breath of fresh air for all of us. Who knows maybe I'll change my mind in a few years, and go a different direction. I would be interested in a Class A and a pull behind vehicle at some point.
We love how much easier RVing can make travel - it's great to always have your own space to come back to no matter where you are. It's definitely great for pets too, it's way less stressful for them to have their space and familiar environment.
Don't know why any one would think Your rich but ok. I like watching your videos but i have a lot of couples I watch so I don't watch you as much as I should. But when i watch I usually watch some videos to try and catch up. God be with You on Your Journy and thank You for bringing us along.
We started out with an old 83 class A that was going to be a project for my daughter's and I but once we had the interior gutted we discovered that the roof was too far gone. We switched up to a 94 Southwind that we completely redid the interior on , rebuilt some damaged walls too. We just started living in it when our 21 year old daughter needed a medical bed which without any slides was too tight. She is the reason we sold our house and several of our belongings to show her places and sights instead of 4 bedroom walls. Her health declines every year. So that brings us to the motorhome today, she is a 40 ft Holiday rambler DST with 3 big slides and 2 bathrooms. She is also a work in progress because of previous leaks that have caused damage. That and I can't leave anything as it is...
Thanks for sharing your story with us and also your beautiful coach. Maybe one day we might cross paths once we can travel to the US
You guys are incredible parents! Such a gift to give your daughter. I hope the new rig is a good fit for you all! We would love to meet you if you ever find yourself near!
I'm 79 I don't have a RV, I just enjoy your adventures.
Thank you Sharon! 😍
Hubby and I started in 1991 with a 23' Nomad Weekender (no slides!) and 3 boys aged 8, 7 and 3. We went out 4-5 times a year; Niagra Falls to Disney World. When the boys got too big and too old for the camper, we purchased tents and they slept outside. Once the 2 oldest were over 18, we purchased a large tent and screen room and got them their own campsite. They came back to the Nomad for meals. After they had jobs and didn't want to camp over making money, we sold the Nomad and traveled the world for awhile. Hubby had retired from UPS and I retired from retail so we answered the call of the RV lifestyle and purchased a 30' 2022 Rockwood 2608BS with 2 slides. Not full-time but we go out at least twice a month for 5-14 days at a time from April thru Oct. Leaving on 1st trip of the season Apr 4th. We do like having a truck and travel trailer; I've driven a truck (most with a standard shift) for the last 25 yrs and would be lost without my truck.
I found your channel searching for full-time RV'ers and absolutely love how real you keep your videos. Keep up the good work and have fun!
P.S. Erin and I should never get together; I ramble and yap too much as well and we'd probably never shut up! 🤣
What an awesome story!!! If you make it down to Central FL in the next few months let us know and we'll chat all evening! 😍
I would love to sit and chat. ❤
@@Five2Go I may have to become a Roadrunner to meet up and chat! Safe travels! ❤️
We'd love to have you! 😍
We started out looking for a class c. We liked the Greyhawk 30X. Then we looked over and saw the Seneca Prestige 37K. One look at that and we were hooked. Diesel, tons of storage, one and a half bath, king bed, recliners, huge pantry. We ended up a couple of months later getting a 2022 Entegra Accolade XL 37K. We love it. It is absolutely perfect for us and our dog. I love driving it we have tons of space. We are looking for a Jeep now to tow next spring when we head out west from Florida. Hurricane Ian and then getting Covid on a January 2023 cruise set us back a bit. We just finished getting a new roof on our house and tons of repairs. We had a severe case of Covid bordering on going in the hospital, but we were in the Atlantic Ocean. We have lingering symptoms still so our plans had to be rearranged. Hopefully we will be back on our feet soon. We still take our rig out for long weekends just to get away and keep up our stamina. No phones, no solicitors at the door, etc. We have always wanted to buy a RV and go to all the national parks and see the country before we start having health issues that prevent us from doing it. So here we are. We liked cruising but after being on Symphony for 7 nights 5 of which we were so severely I’ll, we are passing on anymore cruises. Lol. Covid in a crown loft suite, waste of money. Although we were able to be sick separated one was cold or hot is was always opposites one of us was downstairs and one upstairs. My husbands cough sounded like a barking dog. We are going to stick to our RV only.
Where are y'all headed when you leave Florida?
We love your channel! We started with a travel trailer and loved it. Less than 2 years later, our boys were bigger and we needed something we could use more comfortably and easily. We hated dealing with a hitch, so we jumped right on up to a class A diesel 38K with a comfy MKX toad. We do not full time and we have stationary jobs (both work at the school our boys attend) so we have a house and my dad living with us. We try to get out and enjoy the RV as much as we can before our boys are off to college. Thanks for your channel! ❤
Thanks Rebecca!
We discovered we needed a bedroom slide! And a better kitchen, keep doing videos👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
A good kitchen is key! That and the living room are almost more important than the bedrooms for us.
Yes we love yalls smiling faces. Love to hear about your life, adventures, and family. Thanks for being so transparent.
Thank you so much! 😍
We rented a bunch of RVs over about ten years and then when we decided we wanted our own we watched a bunch of videos and did a lot of research. We bought a 2021 Forrest River Berkshire XLT 45A in April of 2020. It was the first 2021 off the line that year. We are not FT but travel a lot and love it! Love your channel just as much!
Great choice, those Berkshires are nice!
Our first camping outing was a four person tent, then an “RV” A-frame tent camper. From there we grew through another pop-up camper to a Coachmen camper trailer then a Terry travel trailer to our present 2022 30’ Forest River 260BHSLE UltraLite bumper pull travel trailer. We have enjoyed each and every one of our “campers” and look forward to enjoying our outings. Thanks for being “real people”.
Very cool history with your RV's, thanks for sharing! We'll keep on keeping it real 😀
1st of all I want to say when you guys got your new rig I was so Excited for you guys because you got what you needed and wanted. I can tell by your excitement that you guys just are normal hard working people who happen to find the rig you wanted at a great price for that particular rig! By the way it's gorgeous! For my husband and I we liked our 1st motorhome but the manufacturer did some things wrong the caused a lot of pain and suffering for us but we have a lot of faith and God actually provided us and literally surprised us with a beautiful rig we could have only dreamed of having. It's a long story but if you knew it you would know that God definitely provide it for us. We are so happy beyond belief! I am so happy for you guys!!
Thank you so much Ary! 😍
We started with a 21 foot travel trailer for 3 years with a tri-fold Murphy bed and hated it. The bed not the trailer. Now we have a 27 foot travel trailer with a Queen bed and separate bedroom. Recliner sofa with heat and massage. It’s everything we need. We are not full time but do about 45 days per year. Happy Camping
45 days a year is awesome! It's amazing how little additions can make such a huge difference in this things.
We started in a very basic pop up with no heat! We upgraded after we had to pack up in torrential rain. We have since had a 22”, 29”, 31” and now have our 34” on a seasonal site. We upgraded as our family grew and now that the children are grown I got my camper with a wonderful living area and a midbunk for guests. We started when my oldest was 4 and he’s now 33! Love camping!
That sounds amazing! 😍
We just left Clermont on Monday!
We did the Lake Apoka Wildlife Drive!
YES! Roadrunner Cruise!
You're on the boat! 🤣
@@Five2Go Yippee😀👍
Started off with a Jayco Jayflight 28BHBE for a family of 4 and pulled it one season with a Suburban. Upgraded to a Ram 2500CTD. We just got an Alliance Avenue 32RLS for our “empty nest”rig now that the kids are out of the house. So, this combination should last us a while. Thanks for sharing a part of your lives with us.
Very nice, those Avenues are great!
I love watching your smiling faces!
No RV yet. I spent the past 4 years tethered to my home caring for my aging father. He passed away in Feb. I am hoping I can convince my hubs to get an RV so we can start part time RVing soon. Wish me luck! 😂
I love watching your videos and you have always struck me as very down to earth people. Hope to meet you one day!
We're so sorry to hear about your Father. Helping family with long-term health concerns can be so tough. If you need any help with the convincing let us know! Y'all deserve some time away!
RV/Tiny Home will be the future, but I've gone through the same thing with my cars. Started with a '96 Geo Prism and drove it till it died (nearly 200k). Upgraded to a 2016 Kia Soul and was amazed with power locks and windows. Decided I really wanted CarPlay and a backup camera for safety so upgraded to a 2020 Kia Soul. Decided our weekend road trips really needed Dual Climate control (was tired of my friend freezing me out because he was hot) and a little more cargo space, so upgraded to my new "forever" car, a 2023 Kia Sportage. Couldn't resist the trade in value. I'd always wanted an SUV (dreamed about a Rav4 for YEARS until they changed it too much) and now I'm living that dream.
Ya'll are fun! Going to have a little spin through your older videos, but happy to add you to my followed channels list! Safe travels!
Love your content, you were the first channel on RUclips I started watching. Last fall we went from a 29' TT TH, no slides to a 30' Fifth Wheel with one slide. It is just the 2 of us, but we wanted more living space and countertop space. We love our new camper!
Thanks Julie!
26 ft travel trailer to an Alliance 36v11 toy hauler fifth wheel. Switch prompted by Covid, our sons autism getting more severe and committing to a seasonal spot for two years instead of traveling ‘21 and ‘22. Seasonal was 2 hours away from our house.
Started tent camping young, then later in life we rented a few pop-ups and enjoyed a few camping trips. We bought a Jeep, then got an RPOD to tow behind it. Well after we realized we like RVing a bit more than just Jeeping, and we hated the E-W bed (have to climb over each other) and no living room area, we decided we wanted a bigger trailer and that led to a truck to tow it. We now have a Lance 2375, but as we approach retirement, we know we want a big Class A diesel pusher. Not sure which one, but we've got a few - one of the one's on the list is a Discovery LXE 44S. And, yeah, we're also not filthy rich.
Erin is super cute!
Brian, you are very smart and knowledgeable.
We started our RV life in 2006 (Part time weekenders) with my Honda Goldwing towing a popup tent trailer, 5 years later we bought our first travel trailer, a Monaco, 24' traillite sport. We owned that for 8 years, then upgraded to the 2021 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK - we love this trailer. Now that I am getting close to retirement, we are thinking about buying a motorhome and towing the car. We would possibly sell our house and live fulltime in the MH. My dilemmas are this: We have a really cool craft room in our house, my wife does crafting, I do plastic and wood model building - Where would we store the materials, where would we work on those hobbies and crafts?
(Back up a few years, my favorite hobby is riding my 2006 Honda Goldwing - The first 12 years on it, I rode over 157,000 miles, it now has over 200,000 miles on her, yes her, her name is Heather, Heather Locklear - you guessed it, she is my all time love! - Yes the real Heather)
I really enjoy your channel and will keep watching. I thank you for everything ass I have learned quite a few things.
Henry from Northern California
Hubby and I are about to embark on our full-time RV adventure. We start living in our 29 foot travel trailer in 15 days. He retires 7/1 and then we are hitting the road. We’re super excited to travel.
I want to rv but I’m in a wheelchair so there would be to many obstacles to overcome especially being only me and my dog! Nice to dream though! I just wanted to say to you guys that I think you are really down to earth people with great hearts and I love watching your channel. Keep having fun and not sweating the small stuff. Much love to you all and safe travels.
I live in the South of England,( if you keep driving you will be on the isle of White) in a house.
I just love watching your on the road life.
We need to get over there some day. We spent two weeks in Ireland back in 2011 but sadly that's it for Europe. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 😍
We are going on 2 years full time. I now need, king bed, washer and dryer, and dedicated desk for full time work (not table). We are going to Riverstone 39RKFB. (current Cougar 30rl) We LOVE LOVE cruising!! I need to become a Fl resident just so I can get cruise discount and my Disney Annual pass back.
The cruise and Disney discounts are amazing! 😁
Started with a popup. Then decided we needed a bathroom, so got a hybrid. Got closer to retirement and wanted to stretch the camping season in our area. Now we have a 28’ couples camper. We love it and the trips get longer. Love watching you guys.
Bathrooms are handy! Haha! Thanks for watching and commenting Jayne!
Hello! FT for five years. Retired Police Officer and Technology Project Manager. Started in a Jayco 338RETS TT. Didn’t like towing 40ft changed to a Montana fifth wheel because of auto leveling and towing. Have been in the Montana for four years and love it but, we drive separate with a Mini Cooper and I would like a motorhome … I think. We have started looking at a Discovery 36HQ. Vid on your journey on purchasing would be helpful. Safe travels!
We're getting a lot of people saying they want the full story so we'll make it happen! Stay tuned!
We started with a 24’ Hi-Lo travel trailer, then went to a 32’ Dolphin Class A. That has been gone for 15 years. We are ready to get back on the by the summer of 2024 with a New Aire 33-35’!
Nice choice! Are you ordering the New Aire custom or just already know what you want when it's time to start shopping?
Our first rig was an Avenger by Prime Time 26bk. We wanted an outdoor kitchen and no slides (I was scared of slides). When we bought it, we never imagined we would go full time. Immediately upon receiving our Avenger RV, we realized the "no slides" was going to be an issue for our German Shepherd. She really had nowhere to laydown and chill when we were all inside. But we persisted, and we loved that RV. It was 8 months later, we had changed from camping (tent camping) every month to camping with the RV every weekend. And then we got tired of carrying stuff in and out of the house. I said, "I'm just staying in the RV. The bed is helping my back. So after a weekend with friends that live in an RV we realized with a bigger RV, this could work. So we sold the house, and upgraded to an Open Range 374bhs. It felt like we moved into a mansion.
What a great story! 😍 Slides make a MASSIVE difference in an RV. Sure they can have problems, but there's really no comparison. I do have to say you're the first person we've heard from who had back problems _solved_ by an RV bed though, haha!
@@Five2Go The original RV mattress was terrible, that's for sure. But when I added a 3 inch foam topper it made a huge difference. I think our mattress in the house was too soft, and that was causing my back to get worse. My wife DID NOT like the mattress in the RV, LOL.
I love your honesty!!! We have started with an off-grid, 22 ft,Winnebago, Yeah, but, you are not shoveling snow, baby!
No snow, ever! 🤣
First, I do love your smiling faces!
We have had numerous rigs. I'm not sure what our first one was. I think a 1970's 23 ft class c that I bought without my husband's input. Here refused to even get in it. It never left our driveway. Lol
We got a 1987 Pace Arrow class A. Cost u.s $3,000. It didn't like going over 45 mph. We loved it and my husband remodeled it to sit us. Then we had a grandchild and niece move in with us. We sold the class A and bought a TT with a bunk house. That lasted until the kiddos decided they didn't want to spend time with us like that. A deal that we couldn't say no to presented itself to us and we were able to buy a 40 ft Newmar for $70,000. Kept that for a few years and loved it. Then we came into a little money and were able to buy a 45 ft Tiffin Bus. It was a true home on wheels. A real living room with a fireplace. A beautiful bathroom. A walk in closet. We are still in our sticks and bricks for another year because my husband isn't ready to retire just yet. But next year, we are hitting the road full time. I can't wait!!
With the trash on the front, at least you won’t forget it! Lol!!
That's exactly why I do that! We can see it sticking up over the hood. We see so many people leaving campgrounds with bags on their roofs or hanging from side mirrors 🤣
Done it a few times ourselves! Lol!!
Love your channel. You guys are so great together and I love your sense of humour.
Thank you so much! 😍
I love your smiley faces and kids.
Thank you so much Anne! 😍
We just started. Went right to a class A DP. So thankful for you guys and the wealth of experience on the discord.
Go big or go home! 🤣 Or wait, is it Go big with your go home? 😜
❤ you have a beautiful family ❤❤your children are growing up way to fast ! ❤❤❤❤
Love that you are being very real about life on the road and being a YT’er. We’ve looked at you and thought this is what we want - YT paying the bills so we can travel. Thanks for being open.
RUclips pays for gas and travel money, the jobs pay for everything else 😉 We'd love to one day not need the regular work but we'll see how it goes!
@@Five2Go We’d like to get at any level where we get paid. Plus - we’re Jeep drivers as well. Love it!
Ous first RV was a Class C because the RV salesman said we needed to start out driving a class C before upgrading to a class A for more room and personally liked the class A better. Since then we have changed to our third RV which is a class A 42 foot. In NE Florida places to store your RV is hard to find that is affordable. We have finally bought some land and will be staying in the RV more of the time and will be selling our house and will be doing some traveling. We love to go on cruises and used to go on the Lynyrd Skynyrd cruises every year. Awesome times.
I love your normal!
Thank you so much! 😍😜😝
We don't camp very often but we stayed at a place in July 2021 that had garbage collection from our site every night. 😄
Trash pickup is really nice! We'd love to see that in more places, but we don't mind the drive honestly 😀
We have a few more years until hubby and I will be able to be on the road, but I remember my parents’ RV’s. When I was a child, we started with a 16’ Rambler travel trailer for the four of us in our family. A few years later, they traded it in for a 19.5 foot Belvedere travel trailer; this is the one that my parents, my Auntie and Uncle, and my sister and I were in for six weeks in the summer on a road trip from New Brunswick, Canada across the USA to San Diego, up the west coast to British Columbia, then back across Canada back to New Brunswick. I think back to those days before air conditioning (this was 1975), and know I couldn’t do it now under those conditions! Once we retire, we will leave the north; right now you can only fly in and out of our town except for the few weeks of the ice road each year, so an RV is impossible at the moment. Can’t wait to see you guys out on the road when we get there! I have been on a couple of cruises and I absolutely LOVE them! Hubby’s fave vacation is an all-inclusive resort in a beautiful beach.
Great trash run video 🤣 It was great meeting your whole family at Camp Margaritaville.
We're going to have to record every trash run I think! 😂😂😂
We started in tents... then pop up... then trailer..then none... then small trailer to go cross country pulled by explorer (do not recommend!). Then found Grand Design RK2250 (we were just looking at new layouts to put on wish list & got great deal). That is when I started following you guys. Love Fall color camping in UP, Michigan. Travel with our 2 small dogs and slightly vocal Cockatoo. Now that 4 yr old granddaughter wants to go, may have to find a new rig in future. Still have home base. Not sure at our ages if FT camping would be wise for us... but so enjoy your adventures. Many blessings and adventures to you and your family.
Love the transparency!! Thank you
Just started out with 2023 Holiday Rambler Vacationer. Loving it so far!
HR's are great! Which floorplan did you go with?
You two are an entertaining and fun couple. Erin's personality is comforting.
I've been watching so long that I know Matt sold you the previous motorhome when he was still a sales man at the general RV center. Brian drove the RV from Florida to Colorado by himself.
Thanks Aaron! 😍
What a wonderful compliment! Thank you!❤
Thanks for the insight! I started with a self converted Sprinter, then I added a trailer and refurbed it. Now with a job, which allows me to work from anywhere we're switching to a Class-A and travel Europe. Greetings from over the pond
Went from tent camping (traveled from Texas to Colorado mountains every summer) to pop-up, to 26 ft 5th wheel, to 30ft 5th wheel, back to 38ft TT and then 32ft class C. In 2017 we retired and traveled all the westerns states in 99 days. Had so much fun. We sold the class c last year and thinking about converting a cargo trailer to a RV.
Wow! That's an awesome list! What was your favorite? 😁
Our rigs in order
Pop up boys were 5 f 10
25ft no slide bunk bed 5th wheel
32’ 2 slide 5th wheel
32’ class c
Currently 30’ couples travel trailer. Boys are now 40 & 45
What a great list! We never went RVing with our parents so we feel like we missed out on some great things back in the 80's and 90's...
We're traveling on a short 2 week road trip this summer in a 30 year old pop up/ tent trailer to get a taste of longer than weekend travels before hopefully hitting the road next year. There's 5 of us and next to no storage in that lovely thing. So it'll be interesting!
You're going to have a blast! And then you're going to spend next winter shopping for a bigger RV! 😂
I don't have an RV, would love to travel, but I am blessed with my home being paid off. But still having to work. Lol love watching you though. 😊 and kids grow.
Where would you like to travel to next?
Still trying to find that final rig, but the first was a 22 ft TT and we needed more room. We love our Passport 2870RL but we are only weekend warriors. Now we are looking for what we will need when we go fulltime, if never ends:)
Memories...I admire your situation. We just bought our first tow behind and pick it up Friday can't wait for a awesome future simply camping...would love to do what your doing!
That's awesome! What RV did you get?
Our first camper was a A-frame camper it was a great starter camper for us. This past October we picked up a 25' camper with a slide out. So much more room and has a real bathroom which was something we both wanted.
We'd like to try a small RV like one of those for a week to see what it's like!
While I enjoy RVs, your stories, and your insight on full-time RVing, your natural smiles do make the videos more enjoyable to watch.
Yay! Thank you! 😁😍🤣
What a kind thing to say! Thank you so much!! ❤
Your smiling faces! ❤. Take care guys
I don't have an RV am African living in Sweden but love you guys, and your channel kinda makes me wanna taste the RV life. Thanks for keeping it strong together, stay blessed.
That's awesome! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
@@Five2Go Your welcome lovely family
Not RVer yet. But been truck driver for over 30 yrs. Recently had do lot of reflecting. Had accident total hip replacement which it sucks don’t break your hip! Been watching lot of you tube on RVing and really got me thinking a lot. Same life style for me but at much bigger and slower pace. But as being only me and my wife pretty sure we won’t need one that big. But many thanks to you and you channel made decision easy. Going go look at tiffin next week. We made budget of what can afford hate payments doing cash deal. Thank you for your channel.
Yay! Make it happen! Hopefully we'll see you out there 😀
Hi!!! Your motorhome is your home!!! I wouldn’t let negativity live in your minds from others. You’re a family… that works for what you have and I’m so happy for you for that!!! I love that motorhome!!! The floor plan is so neat!!How is it working for the kids in the back? That’s my fav part of it. The littles in the back would definitely make me feel safer at night since I’m a heavy sleeper. LOL. I went with the new travel trailer for this season cause we needed the room and I just wanted new after coming from the remodeled class c. The season starts on 4/23 for us and I can’t wait!!! Where do you have your schedule?
We all love the new rig, especially the littles. They hang out on their bunks all the time and really like having a better place for their stuff.
Once we have our travel route nailed down and everything booked we'll be sharing it with our Roadrunners. We've only got two stops left to finish up 😁
I would love to know more about your RV and why you chose it!
Will do! Stay tuned!
New fan to your channel, and late to the posting on this one, but we Started 4 years ago with a small fifth wheel, upgraded a year later to a 42' fifth wheel, then two years later yet again to a 43' fifth wheel with a office as wife works from home. Now just two weeks ago, traded that in for a 37' Class A as we will begin full time traveling this coming next spring. And same as you, not rich, owe big time with a huge monthly payment but the pro's outweighed the cons for us. I started watching you guys for the mobile internet, and have decided what i want from watching you. Now to just get brave enough to drill the hole in the roof of this new Class A for the Antenna box.. lol Thanks for the videos' love watching them.
Thanks for sharing the "secret" of how you have been able to live the full-time RV lifestyle. We own a small travel trailer, and look forward to getting out more once we retire. Your videos of both the glamourous and not-so-glamourous sides of RV travel are helping me get familiar with what to expect when we finally hit the road. Thanks!
Don't forget to wave your arms around like a weirdo when you say "secret" 🤣🤣🤣
Smiles ALWAYS make a difference, and you both have great ones 😊 Safe Travels ❤️
Thank you Tanya! 😍
Thank you!!
Started with a new 2019 Grand Design, Reflection 297RSTS travel trailer in 2019. Plan was to roam the country for 3 years and settle down somewhere. 3 year came and went and we weren't ready to settle down. Decided to upgrade to a more comfortable coach. Now we have a 2022 Newmar, London Aire. It's like a condo on wheels. Living the dream. Life is good.😉
I can't put in to words how much I felt at home with you guys. I went FT RVing out of necessity in a small TT with no experience whatsoever for 5 months. Learned a lot by doing. Even with all the challenges, I still want to go all-in to FT. We are in a temporary rental house that I had set up before I bought the RV. As of April 27th, I will be back FT and currently because I am also not rich, I will be staying in the 24' Pioneer Trailblazer. FT it will be myself, my 16 (almost 17 year old) son Austin and my 13 yo daughter Cecelia and 2 cats. 149 sq ft.... is not enough space but we will make it work until we can upgrade to the motorhome that I have determined is perfect for us. We want the FR3 32DS - small class A. We looked at so many and still come back to that floor plan. I can't wait to see you guys again and I love cruising. My kids haven't done it yet but when I was a kid living in Florida -- my dad worked for a cruise line. It was always fun but it would be a blast to go with the group.
We can't wait to see y'all again! You and Cecelia were a great addition to the Tampa group this year 😍
I have watched y’all for years and still dream of getting an rv someday. I do love cruises and a roadrunner cruise sounds amazing. Love your channel!
Good for you guys, congratulations and keep up the good work, we had five rv's with one motorhome but the 5th wheel we have now we just bought it and love it, I agree about flying and staying in hotels we don't like it, all of our kids are grown and have kids of their own so we love to travel. We are getting ready to travel cross-country in our new 5th wheel in about a week or so I'm with you guys it's all how you prioritize.
We lived in Alaska at the time. We started with a tent for 10 yrs. If we couldn’t afford to go somewhere. We camped out in our back yard. Rented our house out for the summmer. Then when the kids started coming. We graduated to a pop up Trailor. In the late 80s & 90s. And when we flew to the continental US. To visit family. We rented a van and traveled to family & camping spots. We brought our tent with us. Then we decided to get a travel trailer 16ft. Long. Sold it a year later. Because we moved from AK. To Henderson, NV. For work. Then we bought a extended van to drive all over the continental US. In 2003. Then 2005 moved to NM. Angel fire.
Camped all over NM. Then we moved to Midland, TX. Then bought a 5th wheel 37 ft added 3’ rack on back, to hold the generators. To run the heaters, anytime we wanted to camp in cold weather. Now we live in our RV full time. As of last week. We sold our house. In the process of downsizing and putting stuff in storage.
What a great evolution - congrats on going full time! Are you guys going to travel around or stick to one area mostly?
@@Five2Go
We are heading out to tour our country, Canida and maybe Mexico if we get brave enough.
I started with a Freelander class c that had a step up to the corner bed. When my elderly father started traveling with me the bed was too high for him to get into and I was afraid he’d fall off that step trying to get to the bathroom. I also didn’t like climbing up to the overcab bed. I switched to a Thor Axis because the living space was all one level and I liked the twin beds in the back.
We started with a Stryker toy hauler and hated it because there wasn’t enough living space.. then we went to a jayco eagle 312bhok anticipating friends comming with us more to utilize the bunk house and after a bunch of solo trips we realized the bunk house was wasted space and the two of us were crammed onto a two person sofa so we just upgraded to our dream coach which is a jayco northpoint 382flrb fifth wheel
You guys are a hoot! We still have a traditional home and don't camp near as often as I would prefer. We started out with a large tent. When we moved from the farm house to a double wide mobile home 9 years after we were married, we bought a Holiday Rambler park model bumper hitch travel trailer to have some guest quarters. A few years ago that one was getting holes in it due to water damage so we sold that one and bought a Skyline Kaola 25ds super lite so we could pull it with a V10 VW Touareg. Since then we have bought a 3qtr ton gmc pickup so the weight won't matter too much on the next one. It also has bunks in that we won't need the next time we upgrade because our daughter is now 19 and dating. But if she gets married and they want to come camping with us, we might need to have a larger bed option for them or they will need to use a tent or bring their own camper. We shall see what the future holds. I find it so interesting that people think you all are made of money by buying another RV. You were obviously outgrowing the previous RV and therefore you had something to trade to drop the overall price a tiny bit. People seem to forget that when they outgrow a house, they sell the smaller one and buy larger. It's the same thing, your house just happens to be very mobile. Blessings as you continue to give your children much broader life experience than many get from traditional living.
Very true Judith! This is our home so we don't really understand why people think we're crazy to spend a bit on it. We do also want to make sure people don't think all motorhomes are a million plus, RVing is accessible to everyone if they want to make it happen.
Its no ones businesses 😅 ! You are lucky to get a new RV tell everyone mined there own businesses
We put ourselves out there so it's OK, we don't mind answering somewhat personal questions. If anything it helps other regular people see that this sort of lifestyle is attainable if they want to give it a shot too 😉
A 2007 26’ brick. I hated that thing. Had to go outside to change your mind. 3 years ago bought a new 2020 Catalina limited edition 333RETS. LOVE it!!
My husband and I updated our trailer from a 1992 Dutchman to a 2013 jay on whitehawk so we can start to travel.
Awesome!
Love the Jeep, Makes you real people!! Lol
Heck yeah it does! 😝
I think people get jealous over other people who work hard, raise kids, and get nice things.
Everyone could do it if they budget to get it. Budget means doing without to get something.
Be glad someone thinks your rich.😂
We want people to know that RVing is within reach if they want to try it out! There were people who thought the Bounder was a million bucks but it was only 70k, so we're just adjusting expectations hopefully 😁
