    I'm a newbie at crochet, only been doing it about 3 weeks- my stepson is teaching me! I found this video and gave broomstick stitch a go, easy to follow clear instructions. I did it!

    I made this pattern many years ago. It was a scarf, but turned it into a blanket for my son. At age 59 he said do you remember my scarf blanket. It had the colors of scarlet and gray, thank you for the pattern as I lost the original printed pattern. Another blanket is planned in Blue for my daughter.

    I think a ruler would be less bulky for me...

      Yes. It depends... it is less bulky but it is a little bit harder to put the loops on it. You can use whatever works best for you :)
