Yeah, and the ball security seems really high. If you want to know what kind of dude he is, watch the tape of that pass he made against OSU. Walked off the field like a boss. No jumping or celebrating. Just, "how do you like me now"?
@@johnnywebb2351 I want them to beat the buckeyes again this year more than anything! I can't stand the buckeyes! I tell people my favorite team is the Michigan Wolverines and my second favorite team is anyone that beats the buckeyes!!! 😆
Problem is we have no dudes at receiver outside of Loveland. There’s just no separation, and when there is, the line isn’t blocking well enough. Even if JJ were playing, it wouldn’t be much better.
@@itsmichaelonthemove JJ would be MUCH better. He would escape the pocket and hit a receiver. And actually throw on target. I'm hoping Tuttle gets healthy soon.
Michigan has no throwing game..1 can't throw and other throws to the other team..Plus pass pro is straight 🗑️ ..Keep riding Mullings, Donovan ain't it.
@jserv9421 Warren honestly seems like the better option. He may just need more time to fix his mistakes like JJ did. Especially if all orji is going to do is hand the ball off. At least with Warren, he's made great throws.
man it was awesome watching Mullings bulldoze for additional yards after contact, easily the best down for down RB Michigan has rn. Edwards has that breakaway speed if he hits the gaps, but Mullings is built to press for short yards
@dreadred92 They literally TOOK the 2 fumbles, but I get the point. If Grant sees the RB sooner, he probably pushes him aside. TD for UM, not SC on the 25 yd line.
@@dreadred92handed???? @tigranmartirosyanmyforever9803 aside from the two missed face masks those are all nitpicky calls that don't have a demonstrable impact on the game. Crying about a 50/50 spot call is peak Pac 12 energy. They actually play football in this league, you'll get used to it.
@@tigranmartirosyanmyforever9803 Crazy to nit pick on those and then ignore the numerous missed holdings against Moore and Stewart, obvious offsides on the first drive that should have been a free play and instead lead to a punt, pass interferences with our boys getting groped the few times we tried to throw, etc. Acting like the officiating wasn't complete ass both ways is just loser talk.
Don't get carried away. They couldn't hang with Texas because their offence has no balance. An offense that can only run the ball and pass the ball successfully is in trouble.
i'd say there's plenty of room for him develop the next couple of weeks of practice, it's his first week as a starter so of course they stuck with the rush options, but if he can protect the ball with those short passes that kept a few drives alive then that also translates into an effective offense. He doesn't need to chuck downfield to win, short game with some discipline keeps that offense on the field. hopefully he gets more confidence in throwing that ball
Man, great program win for the new staff, however, we have to get a passing QB, the play calling run run run isn’t going to beat great teams. Jack Tuttle might be our option, if it’s Orji scheme a better scheme, GO BLUE
Michigan just beat a great team without a QB, but as we all know, any team Michigan is able to beat is overrated. They said the same thing about Alabama last year.
Say they get more 3rd down stops late . Say they get Better passing .. Michigan will be solid . Easily winning 9 games at least this year . Possibly nudge 10 .
We've got a good team except for the QB situation. Man, I was hoping Orji would be the next Cam Newton but he clearly must not be able to throw the ball very well. USC was daring Michigan to the throw the ball the entire second half and they still wouldn't. They must not have much confidence in him. Give this team a descent QB and I could see them in the playoffs (too bad they couldn't keep McNamara or Bowman around). Without one though, they're done. They got lucky with this win.
Clear as day holding on Klein on the game winner. Literally held Lucas where he would’ve stopped the run. Klatt even mentioned if on his show. Not to mentioned the clear stop on 4th and short earlier. There’s a whole article on this crew being called into question on SI btw.
Michigan is going to be in a world of pain if they don't find a passing game. It's not the 70's anymore, that's not going work against better team, for example Texas. Remember Texas? A great win nonetheless and you better learn how pass the ball successfully.
Mullins has asserted himself as power back for this smash mouth unit. Max Bredeson, and that block is probably what won the game - Kurt Campbell need to get run out of there as OC though. He is not adequate. He's got highly questionable calls because he's not an o. C. Coordinator the man was formally a position. Coach. You don't put a position coach who was a QB coach the OC Coordinator for a dual threat squad. That's a mistake I expect stevie wander to make not Sherrone Moore. That said, looks like michigan found their squad... they need to handle business with Minnesota and rack up points on them to claw back into the top 10. If Texas or Georgia loses next week, that's gonna be good for Michigan.
Mullings is a rare talent. Dude runs like a combo of Hasan Haskins and Blake Corum. It's wild.
I see lots of Haskins in him. They both defy defenders to take them down.
Mullings needs to be the feature back, after the past two games he’s had.
Yeah, and the ball security seems really high.
If you want to know what kind of dude he is, watch the tape of that pass he made against OSU. Walked off the field like a boss. No jumping or celebrating. Just, "how do you like me now"?
He runs like a first round draft pick
He has so much potential and needs to be RB 1! He can do everything in the run game more than Donovan
Michigan Full back is blocking really well. Huge gaps for Mullings. O line doing good things too.
Fullback is making it happen for real.
The FB is killing it. The line is slowly beginning to jell.
Noticed that too. Laying the wood every play. Max Bredeson is a dawg.

Totally asinine call

Terrible call yes. We also have nothing to work with. He’s like pussy fart in the wind. We have no idea what to expect with him or this offense

It’s insane how little confidence they have in Orji. I understand he’s not a good passer but good lord
I think he can be a decent passer if given plays that fit his skill set

What a tough win for Michigan. They better fox the passing game quick. Teams will put 11 guys on the box to stop the run if they don’t.
USC was dumb enough to not stack the box in the first half. No other team will make that mistake.
