I just made these with the panco crumbs for second coating. Spectacular!!🎉 when i want a fish burger i will put kelp powder instead of the poultry seasoning. Thanks for the great recipe Marley. I like this way better than a bean burger.
I'm so glad you liked the crumby coating! It's good to have options besides bean burgers...I agree! I wonder if you could add a little bit of crumbled up nori sheets in the topping to give it a sort of fishy taste? It's an idea to consider! 🌺
Wouldn’t it be good Nik I’m sort of marinade with soy sauce for amino acids or something and soak it before you read it because the social has no flavor so when you buy it into it the outside and be crispy is good but the inside taste like anything. Or am I wrong? I haven’t tried it yet. I’m just mad playing tofu inside of a tasty crusty outside.
Almost every fast food burger place has a special sauce. Marley puts her own spin.... Doesn't it look delish? I apologize if that wasn't specific enough.
I'm so glad you like it! This sauce is a copycat based on Chik-Fil-A. I have to guess that I got it right because I've never actually eaten there. What I can say is the sauce is pretty tasty! 🌺
@@name.terrie Why thank you for answering this question so well! I agree that most fast food places have their own special sauce. But now we can make our own, at home, with plant-based ingredients!🌺
I probably didn't state it clearly enough. My apologies! I bake them at 375F for about 15 - 20 minutes, flipping them with a spatula about half-way. I really like the baked method!
I bake it at 350F for 25 minutes. You can turn them around half-way to get them to brown on a couple of sides. But even if you don't turn them, they still turn out great! 🌺
This tasted like Fish? I even used Not Chicken Bouillon. I did use a cast iron skillet to fry it which has NEVER had fish in it. Is it suppose to taste like fish? Maybe the tofu needed marinaded?
I have made this recipe several times and it's never tasted like fish before (I have never liked fish!). I wonder if the flavors from the cast iron skillet combined with something else produced that flavor? It's a mystery! I don't usually marinade the tofu for this recipe, but you could try that next time - press and slice the tofu and maybe just dry rub it with some of that not chicken bouillon. That might be very tasty!
@@l.o.2639 thanks! I have never tried panko with this recipe but it's a great idea. I would use panko crumbs I. Place of flour and cornstarch. I think it would be delicious!

I love this idea Marly, thanks!!!
You're so welcome. I hope you enjoy this sandwich recipe! 🌺
Looks great--thank you for sharing!
You're so welcome! Thanks for your comment and for reaching out. It's great to hear from you! 🌺
Use a large glass or round glass bowl to cut out the patties!
So true! And a large round cookie cutter would work too!
Love this idea Marly!
I'm so glad you like this recipe, Cynthia! I think the sauce is so good, too. I like serving it over veggie burgers and even salads! 🌺
Yeah, I can see panko crumbs for the second dipping.
@@jodieroberts7882 I agree wholeheartedly!
Looks delicious! I can’t wait to try it!
I'm thinking to add a bit of Better than Bouillon not chicken to the wet mix and then use panko for the dry.
@@sarahdee374 what a great idea! Please tell me how it goes!! 🌺
I think marinating in better than Bouillon with a bit of water or plant milk would add flavour inside the tofu as well!
@@nsmellowyellow1 Why not try half and half and compare the two?
Looks so satisfying. Thank you
@@agneschrismer9946 I'm so glad you like it! Let me know if you decide to make it and what you think! 🌺
I will try the sauce recipe. :)
Great! I hope you like it. I actually use it as dip for veggies and salads too. So good!
I will definitely make this! It looks delicious!
@@shannonvanostran4531 great! Let me know what you think! I'll be curious to see which method you use. Air fryer? Baked? Skillet?
Looks Sooooo Good!!!!!! How long to bake in a oven ? And for how long? Thanks just what I have been looking for!

@@robinhart1390 you can do it that way. I find that the crust adds flavor so marinating isn't necessary but if you have the time I say go for it!
Looks great and I plan to make tomorrow! Which fast food sauce does this replicate? I can’t tell.

One block of tofu
@@leonieduplessis4467 yes!! How could I forget a word like block! I swear the word bunch was in my head and I thought no! Don't say it! Haha.
If you use one hand for wet and the other hand for the dry ingredients you won’t get that build up on your fingers
I have seen this tip before but I wasn't convinced by it, but now that you mentioned it I will give it a try. Thanks! 🌺
