Your voice over is 100% on point 100% of the time . I come here for that. Articulate, informative, quirky, and perfectly paced. Oh, did I mention the lighting and editing is always spot on?.... yeah, it is.
Totally agree! With most other RUclipsrs, I find myself skipping through parts of the video; I've never once found myself doing that with Karima's. I do t really understand why her following isn't bigger. Please post more often Karima!
Yes. This is artistry ! I adore skin focus looks so much. I grew up looking at vogue when skin focus was HUGE and I drooled over the "barely there perfection" looks. So unnaturally just adore this. Oh it's so good.
watched this last night and i've been thinking about it all day! you've inspired me to try this 'expensive looking skin' next weekend for my 30th birthday party. i'm obsessed with that cheek glow!
I'm dark and oily but I LOVE your application techniques and skincare recommendations. By the way, CosRx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid provides the best chemical exfoliation for excess sebum in pores. Love it!
Karima McKimmie for a korean online shop recommendation, you could try Jolse! Free worldwide shipping is included in the price, which I know can get expensive if you're paying separately for it and living in the AU!
I found you a few weeks ago and my makeup game has changed DRASTICALLY ever since! I've been getting way more compliments about my skin because now it looks so dewy and healthy! Thank youuuuuu
I love how I now have a term for this type of base makeup that I absolutely adore: expensive-looking skin. Very attractive, very clean and, extremely refreshing. Your skin looks like skin and I feel like the focus is on the entire (beautiful) face.
i love you! and i love when you said "you don't need this product", which is how most of us feel when we see tutorials, we always feel we need the product. so beautiful!
I just don't understand how youtubers like yourself dont have more subscribers. You do real makeup that looks good for camera but also real life. Thanks!
HOLY CRAP, you are beautiful. I'm super loving all the new products and application ideas. Because I'm what they describe as a "mature" woman, I need spot-on tips just like yours. YAY! Thank you!
This must be the best skin-related tutorial on youtube. Just perfection. You did exactly what i love about it. No heavy application, the blending was unreal. Bravo!
This was really refreshing. A lot of steps? Yes. But really great tips, and more artistry than just slapping a big triangle of too-light concealer under the eyes and slathering on the highlighter. Also, clear gloss - what a revelation! I think I'm over liquid lipsticks. They're just "too done' for regular wear (for me, anyway). I've found myself drifting back to my slightly sheer and hydrating lipsticks and appreciating them for what they are! Such an inspiring video, Karima!
I have never ever made comments on any beauty tutorial but I have to say this is PERFECT! Thanks Kamira, ever since I followed your channel I have learned SO MUCH about make up.
Fingers crossed that this new freshness catches on with social media. I feel like everyone's pores need to breathe. And everyone's lips are ready to stop suffocating under that armour plate of matte liquid lipstick. Thanks again for doing what you like, and not just what GETS likes.
I literally have never heard anyone call us oily skinned girls "lucky" in conjunction with makeup wear! I guess we do have that dewy glow naturally. The problem is we go from "dewy" to "commercial oil spill on my face" in the blink of an eye. 😂 It's a delicate dance to find that balance.
I feel like I had a my fair lady moment when you used the darker of the two mixed foundations to "contour/bronze" like "my god she's done it, I think she's done it". NEVER would have thought of using my darker foundation like this!
So this is going straight into my favourites folder!!! Absolutely LOVE the focus on the skin - I believe this year we're transitioning into a more minimalist look and I'm all for it! I don't think I've worn clear lip gloss since High school - that was a real throw back but now you've made me curious. Thank you so much for this look - I'll definitely give it a try! xoxo
The undereye concealer tip is GENIUS! I've been struggling with heavy creasing under my eyes due to hereditary lines under my eyes and this has been such an issue for me. Can't wait to try this!
As much as I love ALL the colourful, shiny and smokey makeup looks, I am the most into looks like this. Beautiful Karima! Oh and a big yes to the brow video ❤️
Karima McKimmie I think ppl mean it's helpful naming products that an oily skin could use, instead of just saying if ur oily "skip this". When im watching a tutorial, I find it really helpful if they tell us actual products that would work on oily skin, or vice versa. Speaking as an oily skinned gal, it's frustrating watching a tutorial & they say "use something to suit you" as not everyone has the knowledge & access to the varied products you do, more so the knowledge, so a lot of us look to you guys for that & recommendations. Maybe you could start giving alternatives for oily skin? That would be great. thank you. x
Karima McKimmie It's not the same glow, it's greasy glow on all the wrong places with make-up sliding to all creases and smile lines. It is true that a healthy skin for oily people also starts with good skin care, prepping, and a soft layering of foundations. I will say that.
I see your point but if she has never had oily skin how could she give you the best recommendations? Your best bet would be to watch someone with oily skin instead of dry skin, they should be a lot better informed and you wouldn't be frustrated.
That's true and I'm always looking for more oily youtubers! I do want to point out the misconception of oily skin being nicely dewy, when it's just gross greas. Especially since Karima made an almost envious comment about it in this video
So pumped whenever you upload, even more so when it's skin related! No one I trust more when it comes to a "classy" looking base. Always recommending you to my friends 😘 (Also totally gonna raid the Tony Moly section at my drugstore this weekend). Keep doing you Karima
I love the way you apply makeup with so much care and thought and you're just so gentle about it...is that the right word?? lol anyway it's so calming watching your tutorials, I'm in love!!
I adored this! The look you created here is refreshing because it's so different from everything in YT and IG at the moment. Please, do a brow tutorial!
I had to pause the video before even watching to say...thank you for the affiliate link disclosure AND explanation you posted BEFORE the links. I have zero problem w/ affiliate links when they are properly disclosed & will totally use yours to support you because you are honest. And that's all I ask. :)
This is a beautiful look. Love it! And yes...please show us your new brow routine! Your brows are gorgeous so I'd love to see how you're doing them lately. Thanks!
This is so inspiring to me! I am also skin obsessed and love that natural creamy but not greasy looking make up and I love the way you've explained what you do :)
Yay for K-Skincare+Beauty! I've been so into it because it's so hydration focused and I have dry, dehydrated skin. This video is 100% skin goals for me right now. You're looking amazing as always
Aghhhh this head of yours!!!...how can it contain that much intelligence I've been hooked up with your channel since I discovered it!Very informative as always thank you girl Xx
new brow routine! i've realised i've become more and more picky with who i watch on youtube and you're definitely one of my favourites, never disappointed :)
One of your best Karima! Stunning. And THANK YOU for introducing me to the Gothamista channel- so much knowledge and good content between the two of you
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LOOK, it's a perfect glowy look for me!!! I love your videos, I love your make up its wearable and your voice is soothing lol ❤️ xxxx
Yes to a brow video! I love your brow philosophy. Another video i would love to see from you (someday) would be something informal about what brushes and tools you recommend, if you ever find yourself compiling a list for that purpose? I'm terrible with brushes and i don't know what i'm looking for and there's so many options! The only tools I use are two brushes I got from a subscription service, the real techniques beautyblender dupe and a brush i got to do liner with because it was on clearance... it's really not my strong suit, even though i know my makeup suffers for it.
What a surprise! When I saw the photo of this look on ig, I asked if you could do the tuto. OMG! I love it! Gorgeous video 😻😻😻😻😻😻 I'm going to try these Armani's foundations. Love you, kisses from Spain
I've only watched two of your videos so far; after the first I turned to my husband and said "I dig it, we would totally be friends in real life" and then less than a minute into this video I hear you say "who woulda thunk it?" and bam, besties! You're fun, videos are awesome!
Oh good idea!!! to let the concealer set for a min and see if you need to remove some. I dont wear foundation and have just started wearing concealer. I have had some trouble with a little creasing but I have been setting it as soon as I apply it...gonna give this a try - the philosophy makes so much sense :)
GORGEOUS. I just have to adjust the eyeshadow placement for my protruding eyes and wear a slightly stronger, more contrasting blush for my darker olive skin. Thanks for another vid dear!
Your voice over is 100% on point 100% of the time . I come here for that. Articulate, informative, quirky, and perfectly paced. Oh, did I mention the lighting and editing is always spot on?.... yeah, it is.
Too kind ❤️
msalona Completely agree!! X
msalona I 100% agree!! some other tutorials I might skip through a little but never Karima's!
msalona plus makeup technique is amazing 😉
Totally agree! With most other RUclipsrs, I find myself skipping through parts of the video; I've never once found myself doing that with Karima's. I do t really understand why her following isn't bigger. Please post more often Karima!
Yes. This is artistry ! I adore skin focus looks so much. I grew up looking at vogue when skin focus was HUGE and I drooled over the "barely there perfection" looks. So unnaturally just adore this. Oh it's so good.
Barely there perfection is my FAVE! ❤️
I'm so cozy in bed I was going to fall asleep without washing my face, then I saw your skin in this... I'M UP!
Haha that is dedication! 😘
watched this last night and i've been thinking about it all day! you've inspired me to try this 'expensive looking skin' next weekend for my 30th birthday party. i'm obsessed with that cheek glow!
I'm dark and oily but I LOVE your application techniques and skincare recommendations. By the way, CosRx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid provides the best chemical exfoliation for excess sebum in pores. Love it!
Must try the Blackhead Liquid, it was sold out when i tried to find it in Korea! x
Karima McKimmie Oh man! Well I get mine on Amazon if that helps.
iherb has it at a really good price, as well as stylekorean and a couple of those other korean-american online stores :)
Karima McKimmie for a korean online shop recommendation, you could try Jolse! Free worldwide shipping is included in the price, which I know can get expensive if you're paying separately for it and living in the AU!
This has been my favorite look so far in thousands of makeup tutorials I've watched in years!
Yes brow routine please! Also, I LOVE how up front you are about not needing these exact products. One of my all-time faves. Love you gorgeous!
I'm glad you liked the concept 😊 It's my favourite type of makeup to create! x
brow routine, please!
Will do! x
I'm so in love with your approach with makeup, reminds me of Lisa Eldridge. You're freaking stunning Karima 😍😍😍
i love you! and i love when you said "you don't need this product", which is how most of us feel when we see tutorials, we always feel we need the product. so beautiful!
This is my favorite look to wear . I'm dark skin but watching your tutorial still help, mostly your techniques. Really enjoyed watching.
YAY! Thank you!

So glad you enjoyed it! 😘
finally!!!!! somebody who knows what i mean by expensive looking skin!
This was really refreshing. A lot of steps? Yes. But really great tips, and more artistry than just slapping a big triangle of too-light concealer under the eyes and slathering on the highlighter. I have never ever made comments on any beauty tutorial but I have to say this is PERFECT! Thanks Kamira, ever since I followed your channel I have learned SO MUCH about make up.
Everything about your videos is so relaxing and truly mesmerizing to watch. This tutorial is stunning
Very kind of you to say, thank you! ❤️
Fingers crossed that this new freshness catches on with social media. I feel like everyone's pores need to breathe. And everyone's lips are ready to stop suffocating under that armour plate of matte liquid lipstick. Thanks again for doing what you like, and not just what GETS likes.

All skin types have benefits and challenges! xx
Watching you apply make up is literally calming. I love your technique. I really enjoy watching your tutorials! :)
I feel like I had a my fair lady moment when you used the darker of the two mixed foundations to "contour/bronze" like "my god she's done it, I think she's done it". NEVER would have thought of using my darker foundation like this!
Give it a go! It's absolutely foolproof 😊 xx

I feel like us oily girls or acne prone girls just watch these like it's fiction lol
I did provide a lot of alternatives for oilier skin types, which achieve this kinda glow naturally lol x
Karima McKimmie I think ppl mean it's helpful naming products that an oily skin could use, instead of just saying if ur oily "skip this".
