I loved that too. I’ve lost people who died too young and every time I worry about my own aging I think of them and remember what a privilege it is to grow old.
Ah if it isn't the criminally underrated creator with the most satisfying content. Hi girl! Such a coincidence because I was just thinking about you and those Norvina looks you shared on Instagram recently. Any plans on doing a video with that palette?
✨💜 When you said “do not feel any pressure to remove any body hair” I smiled so hard. You’re always so kind and genuine in all of your videos and I truly appreciate that. 💜✨
I get makeup inspiration from my toddler’s bare faces all the time! My kiddos’ eyelids have an almost purple/blue pearlescent sheen. It’s gorgeous. Sometimes I can somewhat recreate the vibe with a sheer coat of glossier lidstar in moon.
This is exactly the kind of makeup I’m going for. Especially because I have to film stuff I really want the makeup to look as real and skinlike as possible.
Great tips Karima, will definitely apply them!! A great everyday "my lips but better" combo is also Peach Blossom (by MAC) paired with the lip pencil Subculture (also by MAC). Just a little tip for the very fair people among us :)
Talk about laboring over lashes. I was reading an interview with Audrey Hepburn's makeup artist, he would put mascara on and then separate each lash individually with a safety pin. She wouldn't let anyone else do her makeup.
For a drug store tinted moisturiser, I would recommend the L’Oréal true match hydraulic acid tinted serum! It’s so sheer but it just evens out the skin colour. Paired with the glosssier stretch concealer is my go to no-makeup makeup look 💗
You are the best! This is my type of "no makeup" makeup. Thank you for the greatness you bring to this platform. Any chance you could share the nail color, too? Such a beautiful neutral. Thank you!
Love this look! Can you try to do this with drugstore products/ low budget products pleaseee.. I am curious on your take with drugstores products. Thank you 🙏🏼
I audibly went "WOO" when I saw this show up on my front page. While I wish you uploaded more, the quality, content and overall enjoyment each video brings is worth the wait! I was wondering, have you purchased any Lisa Eldridge products and what your opinion is if you have?!
I have many of Lisa’s lipsticks, a gloss, and her highlighter. They’re all beautiful. They apply like a dream, color is true, and they wears fantastic throughout the day.
Hi darling! I purchased two lipsticks way back when and really enjoyed them. Would like to pick up a few more lipsticks, the highlight and the foundation 💸 Have you tried any of her stuff yet? xx
The Fenty Match Stix come in some amazing cool tones that are perfect for contouring cool undertones. True "shadow" colors rather than skewing at all towards a bronzer!
Karima, your skin is looking gorgeous!!! my favorite primer is the Victoria Beckham priming moisturizer. it makes my skin look glowy, but not too much, and it has all the skincare benefits!
This has just confirmed for me that once I’m done with my one and only cream highlighter instead of repurchasing I’m getting the Danessa Myricks clear cheek balm. Nothing wrong with my current one but it kills me to have a perfectly natural “Elizabeth Bennet back from a walk” flushed cheek, look at myself in direct sunlight and start catching the (admittedly v v v small) shimmer in my highlighter. Also, if anyone here is like me and doesn’t use any base besides undereye concealer you could try and use powder foundation for that. Conceals and sets in one, and at least the ones I’ve tried don’t look neither drying nor heavy.
@@almostacrone8046 the one I like the most is Everyday Minerals jojoba powder foundation which is in a loose format, however the shade range is a bit appalling, I actually only use it because they had a shade specifically labelled ‘olive’ (they still have the same shade, they have just changed the name) and I’m tired of messing around with shades that never quite match me. You could try looking for pressed formulations that have stuff like hyaluronic acid or jojoba/rosehip/argan oils like Alima Pure or pür (I have tried neither of the two) or maybe go for sheer coverage ones, like the EX1 crushed mineral powder, so they won’t look heavy.
@@AwakingOceanborn that’s great advice, I will look for powders with hydrating ingredients. I am gonna look at what ingredients Everyday Minerals have and see if they have a brand with the same-ish ingredients out there somewhere🤞thank you for your help 😁
For anyone who struggles with a lot of sebaceous filaments (those tiny little blackheads on your nose), oil cleansers really helps basically dissolve them! I know it seems weird to oil cleanse before applying makeup but for a special event (or if I just want to be Extra™) I find it helps a LOT with my skin texture :)
Gorgeous! So happy that you are happy with your skin and celebrating that with light makeup. As always your tips and comments on why you choose the products you use are the best.
Okay, I just started the video, but two things: 1. You. Look. Stunning. Can’t wait to see how you achieved this look. 2. Previously I had tried derma planing, but it really irritated my skin. I had moved on to just shaving my face once a week or so with a men’s razor during my am cleanse. Then I saw a video on “oil planing” by a derm here on YT. Game changer!!! Such a remarkable difference between the two aforementioned options. Smooth skin, no irritation and no breakouts. Just an option to throw out there for anyone else that has been unsuccessful with traditional derma planing.
I don't know why but whole throughout I was only watching that nailpaint shade on your hand... So so classy and fabulous.. Felt like all my life I was looking for this exact shade.. Can you pleaseeeeeeeeeee share the nailpolish courtesy?
Love this video and your energy! For me makeup means fun and joy too, and I agree the idea the idea that no makeup is not better than bold makeup, they are just options and depends on the mood you are you can choose one or another!! Love you Karima!
Kari a I just love the way you do makeup! I am in my 50s and have been doing my makeup lightly like this for many many years, even t(rough out the years of the matte and heavy looks. I always focus on skin and build in that. I don’t really need foundation all over, only in a few places in the center if I’m a bit rosy as you say. Such a cute way to describe it. I think my skin tone is similar to yours. My best color match is Dior forever glow line in 2 warm olive. Can you tell me what shade you are so that I know if some of these other foundation and concealer colors work for me? Thanks for all your wonderful, informative and elegant videos!
Karima, not only are you so very lovely (inside and out) and eloquent, you are a sheer delight to watch 😊 thank you for taking the time to produce such highly researched, curated and passionate videos! Now, where are your pearly earrings from? I need them in my life!
Yes! Loving this video - a lot of my products recently expired and I feel like I'm starting from scratch post-lockdown. Would you have any recommendations for a brand new start / beginner's make up bag?
Hi! As someone who has thick, straight eyelashes and oily skin, I can recommend the Loreal Sky High Mascara and any of the KissMe Heroine mascaras! Waterproof, of course. I hope these work for you!
I am so happy you made this video! My skin is FINALLY in a place that I am happy with ( thanks to the Spironolactone 🤞). This is just the video I needed. I am so glad the the Accutane is working well for you 😁. If anyone is looking for some help with skin please please see a doctor if you can. Saving up to see a dermatologist is a better investment than using expensive skincare from a department store or Sephora. I waited 10 years to see a dermatologist and I now wish I had gone earlier.
This is a great video. I am someone who like a more minimalist makeup approach and I want my makeup...to not look like makeup. Chantecaille Future Skin is my daily foundation. It's sheer coverage (which is fine for me) and just makes your skintone look more even and healthy. It is the only thing that looks so much like skin that you could be two inches from my face and not think I am wearing anything. it has limited buildability before it just moves around too much on the skin, but I can get more coverage if I need it with a tinted powder. My skin type is combination.
Would love to see your thoughts on the maybelline 4 in 1 perfector!! I personally like it more than flawless filter. The light shade is super olive btw
Don’t you use eye cream under your concealer ? And do you find this concealer drying if you aren’t using eye cream? And great video - such a beautiful natural look!
I like you soo soo soo much. You are just perfect and gorgeous. Interesting thing is I don’t concentrate on ur makeup tips. I just love to watch you and the way you talk. May I ask, where is ur background from?
I watch a lot of beauty content, but I love that I always learn something new from you! A new tip, trick, or idea to try. Really appreciate how thorough and informative you are! Is there anything that is similar to the By Terry powder that is more affordable? I've been curious about it for a long time but wondering if there is something similar I can try before deciding if the formula is worth the $$
I like how you stated getting older is a privilege. I work with the elderly and I always say “it is the lucky among us that get to grow old”.
Yes! that was actually so eloquently said I had to stop and soak it in.
♥
I loved that too. I’ve lost people who died too young and every time I worry about my own aging I think of them and remember what a privilege it is to grow old.
Ah if it isn't the criminally underrated creator with the most satisfying content. Hi girl! Such a coincidence because I was just thinking about you and those Norvina looks you shared on Instagram recently. Any plans on doing a video with that palette?
I agree and she has such a good aura and her vocabulary is perfect. She is great at explaining. Me saying as a non native speaker
Exactly???
I can feature the Norvina palette if you guys are interested, for sure! ♥
do you still take accutane???
The primo “no makeup” makeup look. Hands down. This is stunning, Karima.
✨💜 When you said “do not feel any pressure to remove any body hair” I smiled so hard. You’re always so kind and genuine in all of your videos and I truly appreciate that. 💜✨

I love how you always talk with such eloquence, empathy and open minded compassion for different views
Very kind of you to say ❤
yeah i use darker foundation as bronzer too. i learn it to some makeup youtubers also. it is more look natural: no makeup makeup look
You are my favourite beauty RUclipsr! Unproblematic, helpful content and a joy to watch. Always love seeing your video in my feed.
You are the Queen! No-one does makeup any better - and you are so right, getting older IS a privilege!
Gorg, inside and out.
Bloody adore you, Karima!

Woohoo! 🙌🏻

Always looking forward to your videos!
Karima, thank you for sharing all your techniques with us! This is a great reminder that makeup is fun to play with and to try new things ☺️
