The protagonist's "grandmother" is actually her mother. The mother wished to be pretty forever, so she became beautiful and immortal... with conditions. If she "does the deed" with anyone, that person will exit the living world, and _her_ family members will also be unalived. If she has a child (meaning: the protagonist), she'll lose her beauty, and that child will inherit the curse. Rinse and repeat.
She ended up getting pregnant. I believe her Grandma the curse had a lot to do with the granddaughter. The grandma wanted to be young forever but it end up going to the granddaughter being young forever. I guess I'm not sure
"Tire o seu sorriso do caminho Que eu quero passar com a minha dor Hoje pra você eu sou espinho Espinho não machuca a Flor Sei que eu errei quando juntei minh'alma à sua O Sol não pode viver perto da Lua"
Sorry, but I was not impressed. The makeup on grandma was pretty bad, which lost credibility. The plot was not played out enough. The last 5 minutes of the film was all monologue, so I just skipped through it. Too much talking. Others here have analyzed the film. I'd rather see more of the plot played out instead of reading the comments or listening to monologues.
Now that I rewatched it I'm thinking the Grandma is using the body the of the young woman to hold her soul to stay youthful. Also maybe the flowers play a role in it because if the young woman settles down with a man she would get less flowers. So the flowers hold the curse/energy but I could be wrong. She could also want to stop the curse by making sure the young woman doesn't have children. Those are my theories.
Great job Ilene and everyone involved! 👏
Ilene is the 🐐

🔥 great short! Ilene was very creepy
Thanks! She killed it as usual
" A film by any other name would be as sweet" Great job to all. The Images, color, sound, acting....just not sure if the dogs are SAG or not.

Freaky!! Dug it man!
Thanks so much! ☺
The mother is spot on......
I've met a lot of manipulative personalities over the years. Interesting exercise to write for them and get in their head.

I got lost at the end. I'm not entirely sure what happened and the dialogue didn't really explain it
No, just no. If the wish to be beautiful carried over generations, it skipped the granddaughter completely.
She said she ca'n do that .... I think she did okay, Granny...
great film but I'm confused was the woman in the cloak at the start supposed to be the grandma or the younger woman?
I know who it was, but I'd like to hear your interpretation. Listen again to the "grandma's" monologue

@@IvyRose95 I love that interpretation! Thanks for sharing
So ... May bee if she didn't make going a moral imperative ("may be i SHOULD go") .... and then stayed ...? hmmmm
She does have pretty smile i agree with him and her personality seems lovely so does he the man ❤
