      They had an affair! They were the bad guys of the story and somehow they were vindicated. She lied on stand and said they saw each other once since she moved away and that there was no behavior they couldn't be proud of-- even though they made out and arranged secret meetings to hook up.

    Good movie -but has nothing to do with the Civil War.
    Correct trailer for the movie is as follows:
    “The Walls of Jericho” is a 1948 American drama directed by John M. Stahl, featuring Cornel Wilde, Linda Darnell, Anne Baxter, and Kirk Douglas. Set in early 20th-century Kansas, the film delves into themes of ambition, love, and betrayal.

    This movie takes place about 1910, NOT during the Civil War (1861-1865). It has nothing to do with any war. It has nothing to do with loyalties on opposing sides of anything.

    • @cattymajiv
      @cattymajiv 17 дней назад +2

      Please excuse the many words I have to alter, to avoid being deleted. Your comment was auto-deleted by the channel which, like most others, has allowed RUclips to bully them into using its (new) list of forbidd*n words. If even just 1 word on the list is used, the comment is instantly auto-deleted. There are thousands of words on the list, so relatively few comments actually get through. But stupidly they won't show us the list! Even though that makes so much more sense than this stupid secrecy, and the guesswork we are forced into! A channel can use its own list, or no list at all, but RUclips is so anxious to off load onto the channels their imaginery responsibility to sil*nce us all, so they've threatened them into compliance.
      I learned that from reading the comment section for a video by the channel called Dark Humor. (I forget which video though.) That channel is 1 of the ones that makes videos for other channel owners, about how to run a channel and their common problems. They talk to each other in the comment areas of those videos, so they discussed the list there.
      There is also another severe change, where people like me who are labelled as troublemakers, for messages like this one, are no longer allowed to reply directly to anyone. They hope to bully us into leaving RUclips.
      The people running RUclips are suffering from paran*id delusi*ns, and are desperate to stop us from using the same language that most videos use, and to stop us from saying anything more than stupid simplistic platitudes. They don't give a d*mn about their customers, because they make billions anyway.
      Any channel that uses that stupid list should have all its videos given thumbs down, AND be reported as "abusive and harrassing" by every single viewer!
      Obviously your message was deleted because you used 1 wrong word. More than every 2nd comment of mine are deleted too, even ones that are very long, heartfelt, helpful and kind. For example, posts that are intended to help people who've lost a beloved family member, spouse, or pet. After agonizing for over an hour to write and edit posts like that, it broke my heart to see them disappear with no warning! So I was emotionally unable to rewrite them.
      Hundreds of thousands of other people like you and me are also going through the same thing. I am treated like a terr*rist. But RUclips keeps thrashing around, using methods that are ineffective and ridiculous. Please join me in giving a thumbs down to every video that auto-deletes a comment, and in reporting channels that delete comments for no reason for harr*ssment.

    • @denisefarmer366
      @denisefarmer366 17 дней назад

      Rumors abound. Some say...All RUclips deleted replies and comments are in a Google max security prison under robotic armed guard protection, in a top secret location somewhere in the Rocky mountains. Or is it the Smokey Mts? But no one really knows for sure.

    Wrong storyline and plot summary; actrors and actress are write but their characters are wrong. The real storyline and plot summary :
    Storyline
    After County Attorney Dave Connors helps Julia Norman with her shiftless father, Jefferson Norman, she leaves Jericho, Kansas for college to study for a law degree. A few years later, Algeria Wedge, the new bride of Dave's best friend Tucker Wedge, makes overtures and plays for Dave, much to the displeasure of Dave's hard-drinking wife Belle. Angered by Dave's rebuffs, Algeria induces the state political boss to back Tucker for a Congress race against Dave. Meanwhile, Julia has returned to Jericho with her law degree and she and Dave fall in love. But after Dave announces he won't run for Congress, she feels she is the reason and she takes a job in Kansas City. Tucker wins the election and he and Algeria go to Washington. Later, Tucker announces his run for the Senate and Dave decides to run against him. After Marjorie Ransome kills a drunk in self-defense, Julia returns to Jericho to work with Dave, now in private practice, on Marjorie's defense. The still-resentful Algeria moves to kill Dave's senate bid when Tucker's newspaper announces that Dave is being sued for divorce, with Julia named as correspondent.-Les Adams
