Cheap to MAKE, not when sold. When I used to go to school, it was 3.00 to 4.00 dollars for a slice of frozen/thawed pizza. (I tried it once, it tasted like dog food. Once my dog was eating messy when I was like 4 years old, and a kibble ended up in my mouth.)
+Jenz Wooz The kids weren't told what decade each brown bag was from. They probably didn't receive the bags in chronological order, even, but the video was just edited that way. For all that kid knew, he was eating a lunch from the 1970's or something.
Why is it wrong to be picky it's something they were born with like me in fact you're the one being picky and judging them I would have ate some of that stuff but not most of them
The little blonde was the only one that wasn't completely rude. She was more sweet about not liking it. The other kids need to be taught to be greatful for what they get. Kids now adays are so spoiled. When I was a kid I was greatful for any food I got because I knew my parents tried thier best. I ate everything without complaints because I knew there was kids in the world that were starving.
So if your mom wrapped up all the food you hate the most for you, you would thank her just for the very act of doing what a normal decent mother should do? Stop bragging about how miserable your family condition is
H A N A Y U M E How can you brag about that? lmao. My family condition isn't that bad, but in my country we aren't used to have lunch from home and that's that. It's a different lifestyle, just be greatful for everything, even the bad things 🤷🏻♀️
I just watched this. I’m unsure what paper bag lunches actually mean - if it’s like the ones bought by students, prepared by most parents around those years, paid for but provided by the school, or a combination of any of the 3? I tried to look it up but my search results almost always end up showing, “brown-bag meetings” instead. This video also reminded me of the warm, home-cooked/prepared lunches our mom used to make for us back then. I truly appreciate it. 💛 If I was still within these kids’ age range, and had to try those paper bag lunches, I’d probably eat more of those that they preferred, too (those starting 1970s). However, those lunches consisted more processed/junk food. I KNOW - It tastes good 🙈 but it also made me wonder if I’d still be someone who won’t struggle incorporating fruits and veggies into my meals/diet if I was raised not used to eating them in the first place.

Dang, my school sold us an entire 5 class meal, but it woukd atleast be 70 or more to buy😃. Sad
As soon as I say the 80's Pepsi, Pizza and Twinkie I Knew that was going to be a favourite with kids.
00:18 "I feel so bad for my parents that they had to live like this" so her parents are like 100 years old
.
+Jenz Wooz The kids weren't told what decade each brown bag was from. They probably didn't receive the bags in chronological order, even, but the video was just edited that way. For all that kid knew, he was eating a lunch from the 1970's or something.
Kayla G awesome
She said "if they lived like this" so stfu
can y'all not here the "if they had to live like this" lol im gone
“ Soda was back then?”
*The rumbling has begun*

Okay, being a kid myself, I have to say that these kids are *_really_* picky. I would have eaten most of this stuff and not minded it honestly.
true hero
I in all honesty respect the eldest boy there, and the little kid in the dressy short sleeve bright blue shirt.
Yeah same here smh
@Arcelia Ontiveros
First of all its *you're,second you don't know what they look like and it was not your place to say that
Why is it wrong to be picky it's something they were born with like me in fact you're the one being picky and judging them I would have ate some of that stuff but not most of them
The little blonde was the only one that wasn't completely rude. She was more sweet about not liking it.
The other kids need to be taught to be greatful for what they get. Kids now adays are so spoiled. When I was a kid I was greatful for any food I got because I knew my parents tried thier best. I ate everything without complaints because I knew there was kids in the world that were starving.
The Asian boy was also chill
I guess you can say that about the blonde girl, but like I don't know, she gives me bratty vibes just by looking at her
1910’s
Girl: It’s pretty good
Me: Girl, you only took a bite of the bread
I've studied for 11 years now and my mom has nEVER made me a lunch on a normal school day
be grateful y'all
Hesitant Moon I usually eat a ham sandwich or a roast beef/Swiss sandwich. I make my own lunch
Bekah TheDonut They’re saying that they should be grateful that they’re at least getting homemade lunches.
Hesitant Moon
Sorry but that's kinda masochistic
When the girl said "I eat what's trending" I actually got mad at her parents... Really Margaret, you couldn't have swallowed this one too hay
She had a crush on me in 6th grade

kamsi dan yeah
I just watched this.
I’m unsure what paper bag lunches actually mean - if it’s like the ones bought by students, prepared by most parents around those years, paid for but provided by the school, or a combination of any of the 3? I tried to look it up but my search results almost always end up showing, “brown-bag meetings” instead.
This video also reminded me of the warm, home-cooked/prepared lunches our mom used to make for us back then. I truly appreciate it. 💛
If I was still within these kids’ age range, and had to try those paper bag lunches, I’d probably eat more of those that they preferred, too (those starting 1970s). However, those lunches consisted more processed/junk food. I KNOW - It tastes good 🙈 but it also made me wonder if I’d still be someone who won’t struggle incorporating fruits and veggies into my meals/diet if I was raised not used to eating them in the first place.
The Great Depression food gave me Great Depression.
David turbo that is a good one
I've been told over and over that my grandfather ate lard
sandwiches during that time
I'd eat it today tbh, it didn't look too bad.
People talk about havkng depression now... try eating one of these recipes: mentalfloss.com/article/85597/8-curious-recipes-depression-era (or a mix of them) for days while you most likely went around town looking for any type of work. Sometimes you couldn't even afford that, you'd have to eat plain bread, like the video.
"It tastes.....like sadness."
Me too kid..
Scrappy Badger72 Lol. That was the best. 😆
I know how you feel
English kids: "I don't like it"
Asian kids: " *_Pathetic_* "
An Asian kid myself and also got offended cause mostly in our country half of the people even have to eat like just people's left overs in restaurants
@Andrea C woah, chill, he was just laughing.
@Andrea C | Is this criticism?
@@j.k12yearsago50 | Same here bud, Rice all the time

Jeff Cooper yeah they are its just that kids like junk food
Jeffrey Muu no actually the younger you are the more sensitive your tastes buds are to foods. And Horseradish and bread for lunch? Sorry I don't want a burnt tongue for the afternoon.

It's a radish sandwich

The Asian kid is grateful and definitely has better attitude. Koodos to his parents for good parenting.
I think it's kudos
Heewon S yeppp
how is not liking old food ungreatful? you think just because they dont like something means "bad parenting, ungreatful" smh, that makes no sense. if you ate a food you didnt like you shouldnt be called picky or ungreatful
you arent understanding what heewon means. he isnt saying that likikng old food is ungreatful. the asian kid actually appreciated it. most of the kids just said "eww"
gross" he never did that
I honestly like radish so that radish sandwich and the tomato sandwich seem like they would be really good.
People think radish is spicy💀💀💀💀💀💀
