This is the craziest RUclips DIY I've ever seen! There needs to be a 👍x1000 option. WOW!!! I've never been a car person since family didn't grow up with a car. I research everything on RUclips and learn so much but this is a DIY level I didn't know was achievable. Exceeds all expectations on the video and I'm thinking I'll gift myself with this project.

I like the lighting setup. FYI it’s not a rear windshield it’s referred to as a Back glass and the black dot matrix as you put it, that’s called a frit band
I just got my first Q60, and immediately noticed the lack of lighting. It does have the ambient lighting on the door which is not really noticeable. And then the Dome lighting is so little. So I had the idea of adding more ambient lighting through out the bash to follow into the doors... so your video was literally perfect timing lol. Great minds think alike... actually a few months ago in July when I was planning to get the Q60, I found yr undergrow video. So thank you for your videos and showcasing yr progression.
@Jyrh unfortunately my engine blew up earlier this year so my focus has been rebuilding the engine due to it not being covered by insurance or warranty because the cause of the engine over heating were the coolant hoses being cracked. Needless to say I was beyond pissed that the hoses on the car isn't covered.... but I still plan to add the lighting to my interior. It'll just have to wait

I just wired EL wire to my interior, and now I see this 😭 I didn’t think of adding the Ghozt to the interior, but now I’m tempted to get it to match my headlights.

Very well done I’m not a fan of Infiniti but yours is very unique and very futuristic looking, and glowe leds are the best a bit pricey but what you get versus Amazon or eBay or autozone led strips are cheap as hell so thank you for sharing glowe industries

Yo...it would help alot if you went in depth with the wiring and power aspect. My goal is to have a similar application but turn on when it's dark so the LED life cycle isn't being wasted.

Since my car has automatic headlights that turn on when it's dark enough, I'd want interior ambient lighting to be kind of a surprise to any passengers. I had el wire in my car but after seeing your application I realized I'm lacking and want to do my own version of what you did.

this is fire bro! i love your videos. i've been ordering recently w/ seth and i just purchased some FAT BOI black glowe rope for the dash, but now... i need like 200+ inches for my seats and dash! i have a Tesla though so it's going to be a little tough. send me some encouragement and your wiring/programming videos of BlueGhozt. you used 1 Plus controller for ALL those LEDs??
Oh man! I've seen some Tesla guys in the lighting groups and always wondered how wiring would be on them. So check this out. The Blueghozt is capped at the number of pixels it can handle - I don't think they're engineered for the high pixel density strips like the Glowe rope. I hooked everything up to the Ghozt while I was experimenting, and because there were so many pixels, the animations were taking way longer to complete, compared to the rest of the interior. So I have my overhead and footwell lighting on the Ghozt, doing the welcome animation. Then, I have all the ROPE on Seth's UFO controller (it handles all the LEDs in the rope with ease. bonus - it has music modes which is perfect for the rope) I'm working on a wiring video for this project, plus an 'intro to LEDs and controllers' type video since there seems to be a lot of interest around this stuff - stay tuned!! Oh yeah and if you're ordering more stuff from Glowe, use coupon code SQUAREWHEELS to save a couple bucks!!
How do u hide the wiring for the LED strips on ur front and rear windshield? I want to do something similar with my q50, but I'm looking at the front windshield and can't seem to quite figure out how to fully hide it? the rear windshield is easier to be creative with, but still I'm running into issues. I don't know if u have a video on it, if not can u make one somewhat explaining or just respond to my comment? thanks! And I absolutely love what u did with ur car! It's really inspired me
@@koridelamar1998 for smaller installs you can use an add-a-fuse in the driver footwell. for larger installs like this one, I ran a single 12v line from battery into cabin and spidered out from there

Your videos are fire and thank you for sharing! I'm working on my 300s right now. Which controller do you have setup for your doors? UFO controller? I've completed my doors, front and rear windows. I'm waiting on my Glowe underbody kit and more rope for my dash to come in. So far I have my doors setup to do a welcome animation and then goes to a solid color when the car start.
@@SquareWheelsAuto I don't have IG but once my project is finished, I'll get you some vids. Had to do a slight change to my doors once you told me you're running the UFO on your doors. When the doors are opened and closed, I have the BlueGhozt do a welcome/leave animation and when the car starts the doors swap to the UFO for its animation. I think the BlueGhozt has the best welcome animations, and the UFO has better overall animations plus the music mode. Bruh after seeing your videos I'm constantly thinking of ways to improve my ride. I'm currently trying to integrate the leds inside the car to my interior light switch. I want all the strips to override all conditions/triggers and go full white when I turn my interior light switch to full on then revert back when it's turned off. I'll start the headlights tomorrow or the day after and hopefully my Glowe underglow will be in soon.
Keep me posted man I like meeting other people pushing the limits on these things!!! I had blueghozt hooked up to the doors initially too, but the pixel density was so high on the Glowe rope that the animations took too long to complete 😂😂

7:37 what i did was stick velcro onto the back of the led strip, and that was able to cling to the seat bottom pretty good.

this is fire bro! i love your videos. i've been ordering recently w/ seth and i just purchased some FAT BOI black glowe rope for the dash, but now... i need like 200+ inches for my seats and dash! i have a Tesla though so it's going to be a little tough. send me some encouragement and your wiring/programming videos of BlueGhozt. you used 1 Plus controller for ALL those LEDs??
Oh man! I've seen some Tesla guys in the lighting groups and always wondered how wiring would be on them.
So check this out. The Blueghozt is capped at the number of pixels it can handle - I don't think they're engineered for the high pixel density strips like the Glowe rope. I hooked everything up to the Ghozt while I was experimenting, and because there were so many pixels, the animations were taking way longer to complete, compared to the rest of the interior. So I have my overhead and footwell lighting on the Ghozt, doing the welcome animation. Then, I have all the ROPE on Seth's UFO controller (it handles all the LEDs in the rope with ease. bonus - it has music modes which is perfect for the rope)
I'm working on a wiring video for this project, plus an 'intro to LEDs and controllers' type video since there seems to be a lot of interest around this stuff - stay tuned!!

How do u hide the wiring for the LED strips on ur front and rear windshield? I want to do something similar with my q50, but I'm looking at the front windshield and can't seem to quite figure out how to fully hide it? the rear windshield is easier to be creative with, but still I'm running into issues. I don't know if u have a video on it, if not can u make one somewhat explaining or just respond to my comment? thanks! And I absolutely love what u did with ur car! It's really inspired me

@@koridelamar1998 for smaller installs you can use an add-a-fuse in the driver footwell. for larger installs like this one, I ran a single 12v line from battery into cabin and spidered out from there
@@SquareWheelsAuto I’m scared to run stuff through the firewall and into the battery. Is there a way to use the 12v cigarette lighter in the center console arm rest (I forgot what that’s called) and spider without the wires showing?

Your videos are fire and thank you for sharing! I'm working on my 300s right now. Which controller do you have setup for your doors? UFO controller? I've completed my doors, front and rear windows. I'm waiting on my Glowe underbody kit and more rope for my dash to come in. So far I have my doors setup to do a welcome animation and then goes to a solid color when the car start.

I'm using the UFO for the doors and dash, 1 channel for each seat.
@@SquareWheelsAuto I don't have IG but once my project is finished, I'll get you some vids. Had to do a slight change to my doors once you told me you're running the UFO on your doors. When the doors are opened and closed, I have the BlueGhozt do a welcome/leave animation and when the car starts the doors swap to the UFO for its animation. I think the BlueGhozt has the best welcome animations, and the UFO has better overall animations plus the music mode. Bruh after seeing your videos I'm constantly thinking of ways to improve my ride. I'm currently trying to integrate the leds inside the car to my interior light switch. I want all the strips to override all conditions/triggers and go full white when I turn my interior light switch to full on then revert back when it's turned off. I'll start the headlights tomorrow or the day after and hopefully my Glowe underglow will be in soon.
Keep me posted man I like meeting other people pushing the limits on these things!!! I had blueghozt hooked up to the doors initially too, but the pixel density was so high on the Glowe rope that the animations took too long to complete 😂😂
