Sadly it's not the Casuals and, from what I can make out, they have no connection to them apart from using the name. Beautiful song sung amazingly by Alan Taylor (R.I.P.) on the Casuals 60's hit. The Bystanders did an amazing version even before that.
@@89awcock Yeah, and The McCoys UK band had no connection to the McCoys from the sixties either. While we're at it, neither do the Cufflinks...which Ron Dante is isn't overly happy about but is too straight up a guy to do too much about it.
Whatever the history of the band that is a very difficult song to handle in terms of vocal range and the singer, clearly a man of some vintage, did an amazing job for all that
Such a beautfull song..i loved It Then and still love It now
Best song ever in my life I’m 61
Its defenately up there Jayne ❤
Wat een song nostalgie uit 1968
Saw these guys at Sleaford Legion last Saturday night. Had a fabulous night fellas, many thanks.
They have still got it.👍☀️❤️
Alan Taylor the original singer with the casuals had such a haunting sexy voice perfect for this song. He always gave me the goosebumps
Love this song, apparently one of Paul Weller's favourites as well
Amazing❤❤
Mijn lieveling song.
Still got the voice= Fantastic
These are not the original group,John tebb died in 2018,bass player died in 2011,...no one here is an original member..
That singer still really has it! Wish they'd mic'd him better here...
John Tebb was the original singer

Thanks for calling it out...
How many of the original Casuals are on stage? The drummer? Marty Wildes version is the best. He wrote it too.
Nothing beats the Casuals version of 68!
Alan Taylor was not!! the original singer in the Casuals it was John Tebb. Jo Miller get your music history sorted.
Exactly
Alright calm down you will have a clutcher 😂😂
written by Marty Webb and his manager
Marti wild and Ronnie Scott,(not the jazz man) wrote this song...
Why pretend to be the original band ?
Money!
money and gigs. Most wouldn't get a look-in otherwise
Another band - pretending to be a recording band. And there are other bands out there doing it. The Cufflinks - The Mcoys - Amen Corner - Union Gap -
Sung with a bloody awful trans-Atlantic accent too, unlike the original.
Pathetic isn't it
Awful
