Welcome to #Gangwon2024! The 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games will take place in the province of Gangwon in the Republic of Korea, which already hosted the Olympic Winter Games #PyeongChang2018. These are the first Winter YOG to be held in Asia and will build on the Olympic Games legacy and engage even more young people through various activities before, throughout and after the Games.
There are 15 sports taking place (Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Luge, Nordic Combined, Short Track Speed Skating, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Snowboard & Speed Skating) across nine venues, and you can enjoy the action both on RUclips (limited coverage) and Olympics website (all available events).

It was funny, Mao's combo 3Lz+3T only maybe should have gotten a q on a lutz, her flip is ok.
Jia's score was even funnier. She has a correct flip edge and the judges were very strange.
2:51:38 ~ THAT was gorgeous…and the GOE was merely 0.96. Wow…
…and 1:41:34 the technical panel thought this 3T was fully rotated and the judges gave her positive GOE. Not even a “q,” let alone downgrade….yet Mao’s 3A gets a “q.” This is totally messed up.

Oh my gosh the commentators. Mao has been falling at her quad toe only successfully getting it at the JGP but that will still get her decent points. They did not do their research beforehand.

There were many amazing performances here.
I'd like to thank the 'hosts' very much for not commenting during the skaters' performances. Their analyses were interesting and generous, welcome after the skaters finished.
The judges this whole comp have had it out for Jia and Mao huh? They robbed Mao on the SP + was much stricter than usual on the FS and robbed Jia on the FS in her own home country.
I say rob but they still seem better than a lot of senior comp panels especially if you consider the infamous 2014 Sochi panel or just… even the last Olympics. These guys at least got the order correct and hated in everyone almost equally.

The commentators have a very condescending and negative overtone to this special occasion. Unfortunately, there is no way to shut them up, or else I can't hear the music. I am sure audiences would much prefer someone that could highlight the beauty and the skills of figureskating.

this woman comentator is catastrophic. she most of the time tells the bad things but seldom the nice one. who ever she is, I am used to better one with really nice comments.
it would also be interestin how long this kids are scating. not all starts at the same time. if someone starts with 3 there can be much more traind show as someone starting with 10.

Why was Jia's first spin not counted??? That makes no sense. She got a zero for it. That could have made the difference between first and second.
The whole competition’s scoring has been a mess. Mao keeps getting an edge call on her Flip too for no reason.

There was a time in figure skating competition when skaters who had a "fall" did not get a metal. These judges show their bias.
We have new stars, Gao! Kim, Jia, Mao. Strange Jia was flawless but Mao got 1st placing? Strange the 2nd Japanese girl was flawless.
To me, Jia Shin is the most beautiful skater. She reminds me of Michelle kwan.

Una lastima ver la ausencia de las Patinadoras Rusas otra vez... el patinaje artístico femenino actual es de muy bajo nivel por falta de real competencia (igual que en la categoría parejas).
Los puntajes bajos, nivel bajo y programas no competitivos han hecho retroceder al patinaje artístico femenino hacia el año 2008.
Los dirigentes de la ISU han logrado que el patinaje artístico este en un pésimo nivel y ha espantado a los seguidores del patinaje artístico de lugares lejanos.
Soy de Sudamérica, tierra del fútbol y donde se exige competencia, es una lastima ver como la ISU ha vuelto mediocre al deporte del patinaje artístico.

Видимо, вы ничего не понимаете в фигурном катании. У Мао сложнее программа, у неё есть 3А. Причём тут, упала, не упала. Результат складывается из баллов, которые дают за выполнение элементов
